- "We stayed over Christmas and had a brilliant time. The house is perfect, and had everything we needed: The lounge with wood-burner is lovely, the kitchen is very well appointed (and bigger than the photo makes it look), and the separate dining area was a nice space for playing games etc as well as eating. Although the house is obviously near the road (as the name implies) this didn't bother us at all - it's not a particularly busy road (at least, not in December) and there was very little traffic at night. Beds were very comfortable. There is a garden, which although we didn't use, would be nice in summer. There is room to store bikes etc outside. Surrounding area is great - within 5 minutes' drive (or 45ish mins walk by the river) of Ironbridge, lots of museums, and close to larger shops in Telford. We hope to return soon! Thanks. I spent a long weekend there, and it was like stepping into a postcard—and then realising you actually get to stay there.First off, the views were chef’s kiss perfection. From sunrise to sunset, the landscape seemed to be constantly showing off. Imagine sipping your morning coffee while watching the mist lift off the fields, or winding down with a glass of wine or gin or whatever takes your fancy, as the sky painted itself in every shade of pink and orange. It was the kind of scenery that makes you question why you ever spent a weekend not at a barn and this barn had two viewing levels which was an extra bonus.Inside, the barn was a masterclass in rustic charm meets modern comfort. Think exposed wooden beams, cozy nooks, and lots of comfy sofas/chairs to curl up with a book—or, let's be real, a nap. Activities? Well, I wouldn’t say I did much—unless you count becoming a professional cloud-watcher and expert lounge-lizard as "activities." If you're looking for action-packed adventure, maybe look elsewhere. But if your idea of a good time involves reading, napping, and occasionally mustering up the energy to take a leisurely stroll, this barn has you covered. Although we did venture out with the dogs to the National Trust Park which was wonderful - and that was the most energy exerted over the weekend. And the best part? although great wifi is available, I pretended I didn't have any service, once you let go of the doom-scrolling habit, it's like a weight lifts off your shoulders. Instead of texts, there were the chirps of birds. Instead of emails, there were the rustling of leaves. It was the digital detox I didn’t know I desperately needed. In short, this barn was the perfect getaway: a place where the only to-do list was to relax, recharge, and revel in the incredible views. Whether you’re a nature lover, a quiet seeker, or just someone who appreciates a really good sunset, this barn is the place to be. I’ve already booked my next trip back!"

The many museums trace Ironbridge’s history and the ’Iron Bridge’ itself is a reminder of its importance. Ironbridge has a wonderful cluster of craft and souvenir shops, some great bars and restaurants, and no less than ten museums spread along the banks of the River Severn. Or Shrewsbury which will certainly supply plenty to get you thinking, much of it within a short stroll.
The theatre Severn is well worth a visit, though be sure to see what’s on beforehand, so you’re not disappointed. Or why not catch a film at the independent cinema in the historic hall, screening the latest releases, with a cool, vaulted café-bar? There’s an abundance of café, wine bars, award-winning restaurants, coffee shops and pubs galore to discover. Quarry Park is home to the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show. Visit the National Trust’s stately Attingham Park, an elegant 18th-century mansion. Or why not discover even further the castle and excellent restaurants of Ludlow?

- "Liz provided a lovely welcome pack for us on arrival. She was very attentive to our needs throughout. Communication before arrival was comprehensive and allowed for easy self check-in. She unhesitatingly helped sort out the WiFi and anticipated our need for an additional dining chair for a visitor, amongst other things. While very attentive, she was by no means intrusive. The house is spacious, warm and well equipped. A good stay!"
