The converted barn is set in over 6 acres of land in the peaceful village of Llanvetherine only 10 minutes drive from the market town of Abergavenny. The barn is near the Offas Dyke path and around 5 minutes drive from the base of the Skirrid Mountain, it is an ideal location for those that love to walk.

The barn is heated with gas central heating and an additional electric fire is situated in the living room. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, with microwave, fridge, small freezer and a dishwasher. The living room has a large three cornered sofa and wide screen television which is linked to Freesat.

There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin and the bathroom has a bath with an electric shower over the bath.

Self-contained former granary to 16th century farmhouse in North Monmouthshire. Our whole ethos is to live as sustainably as possible and the electricity for the Cart House comes from a mix of wind and solar energy, with the heating provided by a super-efficient wood pellet boiler. The farm produces organic, rare breed and wholly pasture-fed sheep with no spray or fertilisers and minimal tractor use across the year. We aim to protect our soils and support a great range of wildlife.
The Cart House is a great place for a relaxed break walking in the Black Mountains, dining in local restaurants (including the nearby Michelin Starred Walnut Tree) and browsing the fascinating independent shops in nearby Abergavenny.
North Monmouthshire is renowned for its cycling on quiet lanes and rolling country roads with little traffic. For the adrenalin junkies, we are half way between Bike Park Wales and the legendary trails of the Forest of Dean and there are lots of green lanes around the far to whet your appetite. We offer locked bike storage, access to a pressure washer and plenty of local knowledge about places to go.
We can arrange additional activities, such as individual yoga lessons, wine tasting at the excellent Whitecastle Vineyard in the village, or occasional courses in furniture making, blacksmithing and cider making!
We want you to have the best time possible during your stay and will do all we can to make it happen. At the same time, we respect your privacy and will not bother you unless you want us to!

The open plan living space comprises of a Kitchen with full amenities, a sitting room, with a comfy sofa and a log burner. The bedroom has a very comfy King Size bed and a TV for the lazy mornings. Outside is a large decking area with your own personal Hot Tub to relax in after taking on some of the many walks in the areas.

Set up in the valley with beautiful views down to the village of Skenfrith, it is a truly stunning area. Plenty of fields, wildlife, and peace.

Comprising a double and a twin room with an optional pull out double sofa bed, this is an ideal rental whether you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a family looking to save hotel costs or a group of friends looking to bunk together. Our apartment also makes an ideal base if you are moving home or working away from home. There is a dedicated work space, Wi-Fi and a smart TV. We are just a short walk away from all the amenities the town has to offer. We cater for short term and longer term bookings. Monk St Apartments are bright airy, modern apartments with views of St Mary's Priory and gardens. Situated just off the main street of Abergavenny, this property is close enough to access all the amenities, bars and restaurants that Abergavenny has to offer, but without the after hours hustle and bustle of the town centre itself. Less than a 2 minute walk from the nearest car park and bus station and only half a mile from the train station, this apartment is ideal whether you have a car and are planning on exploring the surrounding area or if you are more reliant on public transport.

The building is a 2 minute walk from the Angel hotel and a 5 minute walk to most of the restaurants. The famous Abergavenny food festival usually has stalls right outside.

The properties are accessed via internal flight of stairs and both has one twin and one double bedroom. There is also an optional double sofa bed which would allow 6 people to stay although we would only recommend this for short stays due to the size of the apartment. The sofa bed must be requested if there is a booking for 4 or less adults & a separate charge of 30GBP will be charged. The property has a separate kitchen and living space and one bathroom, all renovated to a high standard. The living room also has a dedicated work space with access to WIFI, for those of you staying for work not pleasure. There is a smart TV with access to all the usual apps such as Netflix etc, although you will need to use your own account.

We are happy to welcome children and as Abergavenny is a haven for walkers, we do consider pets but would like a conversation with pet owners prior to booking and an additional cleaning charge will be levied if accepted.
