Cottage in the heart of the Fronsadais of 80m2 with sunny terrace, at the crossroads of all the vineyard paths, you can shine from Libourne to Bordeaux, from the castles of Blayais, to the cellars of St Emilion, the dune of Pyla, to the beaches of the coast . Swimming pool, ping pong table, children's games (trampoline, swing, slide, cabin ...) are available. You will find 200 meters from the gîte marked hiking trails for many hikes. Dogs accepted.

A holiday cottage for calm and rest

The recently renovated gite is located in a wine estate. This area is close to Bordeaux, Libourne and Saint-Emilion.

It is an accommodation of 50 m² contained on one level (1st floor) with entrance and private covered parking. With access close to the A89, it offers a calm and green environment.
The apartment has central heating and is fully insulated.

The main room offers a comfortable sitting area with flat screen TV and WiFi access. A selection of board games is also provided

The nearest town is Libourne (10 km), sub-prefecture of Gironde. This old country house was founded in the 13th century. The city developed at the confluence of Isle and Dordogne. Libourne also has a varied monumental heritage: stone bridge, Saint-Jean church, Grand Port tower, town hall, arcaded buildings on Place Royale.
It has a train station, swimming pool, cinema, theater, lake with supervised swimming, supermarkets and an excellent market on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday morning.

Last year was during a 40C heatwave and the house was cool throughout which was much appreciated! This holiday house is facing south has a private terrasse and garden. Each bedroom has its own shower room and the main living area mixes modern furniture with old stone walls (typical of Bordeaux). Chez les Grands-Mères is set up with all modern comforts (WI-Fi, comfortable sofa and beds, TV, fully equipped kitchen).
The ground floor combined kitchen and living room on the ground floor with a large sofa, armchair, TV, on the lounge side and on the other side of the room an open kitchen equipped with a fridge, dish washer, washing machine, stove, oven, coffee maker, electric kettle. The dining table seats 4 people comfortably.

The first floor has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a four poster bed : 1,4m x 1,9m with its ensuite ( shower, wash basin and toilet). The twin bedroom has two single beds of : 1m x 2m( they can also be joined to make a double bed of 2Mx2M) and its own small shower room ( shower + wash basin), On the landing there is a separate toilet. Both rooms have nice views overlooking the gardens and forest.

In the garden is a bbq and a garden table and chairs where you can enjoy your meals overlooking the garden. Chez les Grands-Mères, has a party wall to another holiday house : Le Pigeonnier ( 4 to 6 guests - Home Away listing number 8627926). Both houses have their own private garden separated by a 2m hedge.

Finally you can enjoy relaxing around our secured *swimming pool : 12m x 6M shared between our 4 holiday houses.

Staying on a family owned vineyard you will benefit from a free English language tout vines, the winery and a tasting of our 6 different wines. This visit and wine tasting takes about 1hour and a half.

Passionate about their region, Jean-Louis, Nola and Andréa (their daughter) will be very happy to share their local knowledge and their favourites places with you to help you discover the best of the area.

This is an ideal destination for a family holiday or to share with some friend in a spacious and self-catered holiday house. The beautiful green surroundings in the middle of the vines will help you to relax and experience life on a family Bordeaux winery.

In the grounds there is a ping-pong table, a volley ball area and swings for the children. We also provide free bicycles to ride to our local bakery (800meters) for the croissant lovers or to go and get some oysters (from the Bassin d’Arcachon) on Sunday morning in the village.

A bottle of red wine was left for us on the table and we were kindly offered pasta which we declined as we had eaten. Jean-Louise came the next morning and ran through all the places to see in the area, leaving us with a mud map and brochures. A great help. The hospitality continued through to the last day. We recommend doing the wine tour with Jean-Louise. The property is well equipped in the kitchen and bathrooms. We appreciated having a dishwasher and washing machine. The village of Camblanes et Meynac is only 10/15 minutes from Bordeaux and it is very easy to travel there by car or bus from the stop directly opposite the house. It takes you to Stalingrad bus station where you can switch to the tram which will take you all around the city. You will find everything you need in the village as it has a large supermarket, bakery, butchers, bank, pharmacy , small restaurant and takeaway. There is also a Lidl close by. We recommend the restaurant La Maison du Fleuve for lunch as they have an excellent plat du jour for eur18. We also had a lovely lunch in nearby Bouliac at Cafe de L'Esperance. We visited St Emilion which is only about 25 minutes away and also went to the beach at Arcachon. Both are well worth a visit. However as the pool is so tempting and it is so peaceful just to relax on the sunloungers, it is very hard to drag yourself away. This is an ideal place to stay in the country but also close to a wonderful city. We would thoroughly recommend this fantastic house and we certainly hope to return sometime in the future. The gîte de Saint Amand is located on a wine estate, the Domaine de Saint Amand, in the grounds of a 17th century “gable farm”, completely renovated and listed as Cultural Heritage.

This charming country house is surrounded by woods and bordered by two streams. Situated 5 minutes' walk from the picturesque village of Lignan de Bordeaux, it's friendly bistrot and extensive bicycle track. It's also a short walk to Château de Seguin, a quality winery and reception venue, with its boutique, visit & tasting facilities.

The house has 3 large bedrooms, a separate fully equipped kitchen (microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher,etc), a comfortable lounge/dining room, a large bathroom with Italian style shower, double washbasin and toilet, and a second bathroom with shower, washbasin & toilet upstairs. There is a downstairs utility room with washing machine & dryer. Outside, there is a large, landscaped (and fenced) garden, with a safe play area for children, a large shaded patio for outside dining, ping pong table, badminton, and 10 x 5m swimming pool shared with us.

"Le Clos de la Treille" is a small house on one level (60m2) nestled in a large enclosed garden of 3200m2, adjoining the guest house. This former hunting lodge of 1790 can accommodate from one to five people. It is composed of a room with double bed (140 cm) and dressing, a small room with 2 bunk beds (90 cm), a spacious living room with sofa bed (140 cm), a kitchen entirely American equipped, a room of water with big shower (120x80) and separated toilets. A private terrace and garden area, with furniture, covered parking and barbecue will also be at your disposal.
If a vehicle is advised to visit the many surrounding castles, it is very easy to get to Bordeaux center by city bus (40 mn for place Gambetta price 1. 50 euro) or even tram. The small shopping center 300 meters away will make shopping easier and several restaurants are within walking distance. The proximity to the airport (7 km) and the free motorway to Arcachon (60 km) and the beaches are also an asset.
The cottage has modern facilities and WIFI as well as French and British TV. It is separated from the main house by a stone wall and a double door. The west exposition of its terrace allows to dine in privacy. . It is noteworthy that the lodging is easy access for the elderly and is very suitable for families with children. Pets are not accepted.

Coming from an old agricultural building, Rive Droite was completely renovated and converted into housing in the summer of 2017. An old dependency rehabilitated in 2 lodgings redone to nine.
However, we wanted to preserve the authenticity of the place and kept the Girondine stone as the main material.
The 2 cottages are therefore adjoining but can be reserved independently.
Each has its own entrance, its terrace and its respective amenities (a bathroom and a kitchen in each).
Our main house is on site a few meters away but our spaces are independent of the cottages.
