The property has off road parking and consists of a master bedroom with kingsize bed, wardrobe, drawer storage and wash basin. The second bedroom is ideal for a child or granny and has a single bed, small chest of drawers and clothes hanging space. There is a kitchen/lounge area with breakfast bar, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and dishwasher. The lounge is tastefully decorated and has a wood burner for our guests use. This former fisherman's cottage has been extended to provide very comfortable accommodation for 4. Both bedrooms have en suite facilities and there is also a downstairs toilet. The sunny front garden is a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine and the car space in the front means you do not have to battle for parking. Good quality beds and bedlinens ensure a relaxing stay and the kitchen is also well equipped.

Babbacombe is a quiet sideshoot of Torquay situated with a wonderful panorama of beautiful Babbacombe Bay. From the grassy Babbacombe Downs visitors sit and enjoy the fine views over the bay towards Teignmouth and Exmouth. Oddicombe Beach is below and while the path down to the beach is steep - and a lot steeper coming back up - there is a cliff railway/funicular so it is accessible to most people. The beach has a bar, cafe shop and watersports and good seating on steps while deckchairs are available for hire and kayaks and paddleboards are also there for hire. A new beach café opened there in 2015 and is proving very popular. This is just one of the beaches.

Our visitors are spoilt for choice and a full list is provided to our guests including a list of dog- friendly beaches. Explore a little and you will find some hidden coves: Anstey's Cove is a gem, Elbury Cove one of our favourites with clear waters and a visiting seal or two. A premier gastropub is even nearer, again down a steep hill but the views are worth it. There is excellent walking from the cottage along the coast path and over the Downs towards Torquay, approximately 1 mile south, a lovely walk with breathtaking views.

Attractions within easy walking distance include: Babbacombe Model Village, a theatre, award winning fish and chip restaurants, a Byegones Museum, Kents cavern plus a range of shops in Babbacombe and St Marychurch, excellent tea shops and a patisserie, many hotels and cafes. There are a range of supermarkets within easy reach and a large Sainsburys and M and S about 2 miles away.

In Torquay itself there is the harbour, a Big Wheel in the summer months, a theatre, a cinema, arcades, a tourist information centre plus a range of restaurants to suit every pocket and taste, Michelin starred restaurants as well as budget eateries.

Babbacombe and Torquay are part of the Torbay area and include Paignton - a visit to the zoo is a must - and the charming fishing port of Brixham with its replica Golden Hind. We suggest a stroll along the coast path , or the John Musgrave Heritage Trail to take in the views followed by a pasty or refreshment at Berry Head. Ferries are available in the summer to take visitors to Dartmouth, well worth a visit, and of course the Agatha Christie house Greenway is an easy drive, unless you want to take the vintage bus, steam train or bus.

The private cove is down LOTS of tiny steps, but kept well tended if you want to go down. The propery is down a little coastal path lane behind large gates, just off the bumpy Ilsha marine drive. Beautiful large sloping gardens, sat and watched Morris the automatic mower cut the grass. WIFI not too good though, especially if your 02!! Best place for a signal, master bedroom by dressing table. Very close to Torquay centre seafront. Fab power shower in master. Books, dvds, games on hand, with large tv, and everything in the kitchen you could wish for. We found the bed in the master bedroom very hard, but the twin room beds were better. Lovely hosts, homemeade maramalade & slice of cake on arrival. Its all about the view here....bliss."

There were no glasses suitable for Juice at breakfast. The kitchen oven gloves had dirty food on them so clearly had not been washed after last use. The key safe outside on the wall by the door was broken but we managed to open it and the cover fell onto the floor. The entrance key pad for the parking did not work and we were stuck for a while until we found out that there was another pad that did work on the inside of the gates. The keypad to the bin store did not work on the morning we left so we took our last rubbish away home with us. The heating boiler did not work on the thermostat when we arrived there and after a chilly night we checked in the morning and the boiler control was in the OFF position so we had to alter that to get any heating."

In terms of the accommodation itself, it is laid out on three floors, the lower level consists of a light bright kitchen / diner which has the added benefit of direct access out onto a terrace and garden. There is also a changing room with shower and toilet for guests wishing to use the hot tub.

On the floor above is a beautiful living room which features original wooden shutters and a tranquil calming palette of colours and sumptuous luxury Duresta sofas. On the top floor are the bedrooms. The master bedroom overlooks the gardens at the rear of the property and benefits from distant sea glimpses. It has a luxury pocket sprung king sized bed (UK size 5 foot width). There is an ensuite shower room with large shower. The room also has the benefit of a flat screen SMART TV and a digital radio.

The second bedroom overlooks the front of the property and has a super king bed (UK size 6 foot width) which can be split to create two single beds. There are built in wardrobes with lots of hanging space and there is a flat screen SMART TV as well as a DAB radio.

We accept one dog in this apartment. It must be 12 months or older and must never be left unattended in the property. There is a charge of £10 per night for a dog. This will be added to the value of the booking prior to arrival.

- "I booked to stay here for a week, even though I had to leave a day early for work my girlfriend and I absolutely were charmed by the place. Good location, 5 minute walk to the beach (maybe 10 minutes in the heat of this summer and those never ending stairs)! Torquay was lovely, so many attractions although wouldn’t recommend the wildlife sea safari as they basically rip you off for 2 hours to just go to all the harbours and back and not even a fish was observed, complete waste of time and poor advertising! As you park up in the allocated private parking space directly outside, you make your way up the path and into the private courtyard garden. In through the front door and there is a very handy cloakroom to your left, to the right down the hallway and you find yourself in the kitchen/dining room with doors leading out onto the front balcony, a great space for enjoying an early morning coffee or late night glass of wine. The separate living area is just across the hall and boasts a cosy wood burner, Smart TV and plenty of sofa seating, again this opens out onto the balcony. Upstairs is a master bedroom with en-suite, a twin zip and link bedroom and a single room with additional pull-out bed. The family bathroom is on this floor and features a beautiful freestanding bath.

Cavern House is located just next to the popular 5* Torquay attraction, Kents Cavern. This cave system is notable for its archaeological and geological features. The cave system is open to the public and has been a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest since 1952, and a Scheduled Ancient Monument since 1957. Guests are able to visit the attraction free of charge when staying at the property and there is also a café on-site, perfect for starting the day while deciding where to go.

Just down the road from the property is the popular Ansteys Cove, as is the large Meadfoot Green and beach all within walking distance, and a great place for picnics and enjoying the sun. The local village of Wellswood is just up the road with an array of great quality restaurants, a local pub and convenience store. Whether looking to spend your stay in Torquay or travelling around the stunning English Riviera and South Devon, Cavern House is a fantastic place to start.

St Anns is a beautiful detached house within a 5 minutes walk of the best sandy beaches in the area. The house is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The space
St Anns is a detached cottage-style, three-bedroom holiday home of charming character in the beautiful area of St Marychurch in Babbacombe/Torquay. The holiday cottage is within easy walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants and beaches. An ideal choice for family holidays, as there are plenty of facilities and activities in the area for children, including Babbacombe Model Village, which is just around the corner. Our spacious holiday cottage sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, (one double, one twin and one room with bunk beds). The bunk beds are more suitable for children, rather than adults. The house also boasts a private drive (parking available for 2 cars) and sun trap landscaped gardens. To the rear, the cottage has views over the Petit Tor Downs, Torquay Golf Course and Watcombe. The closest beach is Oddicombe, a 14-year consecutive winner of the Blue Flag Award and designated Euro Beach. If you choose to take the Cliff Railway, Oddicombe is a 15-minute walk or if you prefer the path Oddicombe and adjoining Babbacombe are a 20-minute walk. Other beaches at circa 15 minutes are Watcombe and Whitsand. Torquay is a 4-hour drive from London (or less if you speed!).

The house is laid out on 2 levels. Downstairs there is a sunny and spacious lounge with a 3-seater sofa and armchair, coffee table, smart TV and a piano. The dining room has a dining table and 6 chairs, and an armchair. The kitchen is well equipped including an cooker with gas hob, dishwasher, tall fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle and toaster. Upstairs the master bedroom has a king-size sleigh bed, large wardrobe, chest of drawers, rocking chair, and 2 bedside tables. There is also a wash hand basin with mirror above and a tall mirror. The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables. The 3rd bedroom has bunk beds (new in 2025) and a chest of drawers. The bathroom has a bath with shower overhead, and a wash hand basin with mirror above. There is a separate toilet.

St Anns is a dog-friendly home. The area is great for dog walking including some dog-friendly beaches. There are some beautiful coastal walks: in our opinion some of the best views of the English Riviera coastline.

Ivy is our beautiful Grade 2 listed cottage. It has two double bedrooms , a beautifully appointed upstairs bathroom and a superb, well appointed kitchen. This charming historic cottage is Grade II listed, retaining many original features and its traditional character despite being recently refurbished.

Despite it's central location the cottage is located on a quiet street in a peaceful neighbourhood and is a stone's throw from Torquay's harbour and marina with top-end restaurants and bars. It is a short walk to some of Torquay's finest beaches, the town centre with it's shops and transport links, and also the South West Coast Path - voted Britain's best walking route. Whether it's going for a morning dip at Beacon Cove, paddle-boarding at Anstey’s Cove, or enjoying a coffee at the marina with the sun on your face, our cottage is perfectly situated for it all.

If you love nature and hiking, this cottage is for you. The world-famous South West Coast Path is on our doorstep. Why not pack your bag and set off early towards Brixham and hop on the ferry back to Torquay after some fish and chips! Alternatively, the equally beautiful and epic Dartmoor National Park is a 40 minute drive away. The bookshelf is stocked with plenty of guides and books detailing all the best local walks and secret beaches.

For shoppers, Torquay town centre is a five minute walk away. Exeter is a short drive or train journey away, as well as cool and quirky Totnes with it’s beautiful independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Be sure to check out Totnes market on a Friday or Saturday.

The kitchen is well equipped and perfect for home cooking. I am more than happy for guests to help themselves to tea, coffee and my spice rack!

As the cottage is central to town it is located in a controlled parking zone. WE PROVIDE FREE PARKING visitor permits for all guests to last the duration of their stay, so free parking will be available on the street outside or within a very short walking distance to the cottage.

The Gardeners Cottage was recently renovated to the highest standard to create the perfect place to relax and unwind. Situated in Wellswood Village with its quaint shops and pub the Cottage also has direct access onto the Southwest coastal path and is a 7 minute walk to the beautiful Anstey's Cove.

Olive Grove Cottage is a newly renovated characterful cottage in the heart of St Marychurch, Torquay. The house is just a stone's throw away from the golf course and only a 2 minute walk from a picturesque shopping precinct. Oddicombe Beach and glorious views from Babbacombe Downs are also within walking distance. Everything you need is on the doorstep, whilst Torquay town centre is a short drive away.

The space
The property has recently undergone a complete renovation so everything is brand new and has been thoughtfully picked out to enhance the stay and enrich the holiday of all guests.

On entry to the property you will be greeted by a cosy open plan lounger / dinner with a comfy chesterfield sofa and 2 tartan chairs. An electric stove provides the perfect backdrop for cosy nights in. You won’t struggle to find something to watch on the Smart 4k TV either.

The stylish dining room is a wonderful spot to enjoy sociable family meals, and the addition of tasteful artwork and trinkets makes it feel homely.

The charming farmhouse style kitchen is full of modern appliances (including a dishwasher) and is a real joy to cook in. You will find a ceramic butler sink, as well as a kettle, toaster, oven, hob, microwave and all cooking essentials.

The property has a stylish family bathroom, which boasts a luxurious double shower as well as super smart blue panelling throughout.

Upstairs, there are two well-sized bedrooms that sleep four guests. The master bedroom is styled with pink panelling and thoughtful touches including a church style mirror. A king-size bed is topped with high-quality linens. There is also a Victorian style fireplace that is original and has been restored. Storage in the master bedroom consists of a wardrobe, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets. The second bedroom has twin iron beds, as well as a small chest of drawers, a bedside cabinet with lamp and gorgeous views over the garden and beyond.

Enjoy meals outside in the sun-drenched garden. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy the view and have a barbecue during those summer evenings.

The house itself has been finished to a beautiful standard with thoughtful touches throughout. This is a home that is bursting with comfort, and it makes the perfect base for a relaxing coastal getaway. Free parking is available outside and in the surrounding streets on a first come/first serve basis.

The cottage is located in Torquay's peaceful suburbs, within walking distance of Oddicombe, Babbacombe and Meadfoot beaches. You are also a stone's throw from Torquay golf course.

There is so much to do in the area: visit the stunning beaches, discover secret coves and take boat trips to spot wildlife. As well as swimming and building sandcastles, you can also hire a paddleboard and take to the water. Torquay has brilliant year-round attractions too, including the spectacular underground caves at Kents Cavern, Torre Abbey with its Agatha Christie-inspired Potent Plants Garden, Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones, Woodlands, Crealy Great Adventure Park, Pennywell Farm and much more.

Harbour Cottage is your ideal seaside getaway home; a place to unwind & relax whilst enjoying the English Riviera. Newly renovated and decorated, our cottage is cosy, bright, and bohemian. This 2-bed 1-bath property features a charming conservatory and stunning views of the sea. It is located a 1-minute walk from Torquay’s Harbour - you’ll have everything you need from beaches to restaurants, right at your doorstep. Free parking for a *small* car is available!

The space
Our 2-bed 1-bath cottage comfortably sleeps 4 guests.

The fully functional kitchen is stocked with all of the necessities and features beautiful solid oak wood worktops. We have a washing machine and a dishwasher for your convenience.

Our lounge is extremely cosy and is a wonderful place to curl up with a book or to watch Freeview Tv.

The charming conservatory gets plenty of sunshine and is a safe haven for relaxation. Please be aware if the weather is particularly stormy (i.e. heavy rain), water can seep into the floors of the conservatory. We always provide extra towels in case of this rare circumstance :)

Both bedrooms feature incredible views of the harbour. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and a chest of drawers. The second bedroom has a single bed which easily pulls out to a king size, as well as a built in wardrobe.

The patio is set up with outdoor seating and makes a lovely spot for an al fresco lunch! From the patio, you will be treated to views of the harbour - the sunsets are especially beautiful.

To access Harbour Cottage, there are 15 old stone steps. It may not be suitable for wheelchairs or for those who struggle with stairs. We have lights above the stairs to guide guests when it gets dark.

Harbour Cottage is pet-friendly, please let us know ahead of time if we should be expecting any furry/four legged guests. We ask our guests not to leave their pets unattended in the cottage - there are many dog friendly pubs and restaurants nearby.

Cary Cottage is in Babbacombe, Torquay and a stones throw from the natural beauty of Babbacombe Downs which is the highest cliff top promenade in England! Cary cottage was lovingly built by my husband and myself and our wonderful team of builders in 2023.
Cary Cottage is just a short walk to many of the best beaches in Torbay and near to the coastal path to enjoy walks. There are pubs, shops and award winning restaurants nearby. We own Anstey Cottage next door too which can be booked together.

The space
Cary Cottage can sleep up to 4 people. As you enter the front door the bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor. There are 2 bedrooms, one has a superking bed and the other has 2 single beds which can also be made up as a superking bed. Both bedrooms have a TV in them. There is one bathroom with large walk-in shower, toilet and sink. Head upstairs to the light and cosy living space housing a kitchen with all modern amenities including dishwasher, washer/dryer and a hot water tap, a dining area and cosy lounge area with a 55 inch TV with freeview and we have the most up to date and fast broadband for streaming on the smart TV.

This beautiful holiday home is a real hidden gem, tucked away in the most incredible location - just a stones throw away from the beach, coastal walks, cliff top promenade, attractions, local shops, theatre, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The space
The property has a master bedroom situated upstairs, which is en-suite, with kingsize bed, TV, hairdryer, dressing table, drawers and wardrobe.
Downstairs provides a stunning open plan living area, with underheated natural slate floor. There is a fully equipped kitchen, WC, a beautiful lounge with 42" smart TV and remote controlled velux windows & blinds. The lounge leads on to a good sized conservatory, which doubles as a dining and seating area - this can be separated from the lounge by bi-folding doors.
A door in the conservatory leads on to a gated and secure courtyard - perfect for a BBQ or relaxing in the sun.

Petitor Cottage is situated in the most incredible location, you'd never need use your car whilst here (we have private off-road parking). You have everything on your doorstep, stunning beaches, coastal walks, cliff-top promenade, fabulous eateries, coffee shops, pubs, shops, theatre, tourist attractions and so much more!
The cottage itself is luxuriously finished, benefiting from under-floor heating throughout. It is a little bolt-hole set back away from the road, a peaceful haven and the perfect place to relax after a busy day maybe on the beach, exploring the coastal path, seal spotting or enjoying the local water-sports activities. Whatever you do, it is the perfect retreat in the perfect location!

The property is tucked away behind our B&B, you benefit from free off road parking in the B&B car park, which has security cameras.
Public transport is fantastic, there is a bus stop just 50m from car park, with regular buses running into Torquay town centre, harbourside and connecting services to surrounding areas.
There is so much to do within walking distance of the property! Local attractions include Babbacombe Cliff Railway, Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones Museum and Babbacombe Theatre. You have two beaches close by, Oddicombe beach can be accessed via the cliff railway, the station is just a 2 minute walk away. Oddicombe has fantastic facilities, including beach huts, bar, restaurant, cafe, beach shop and water-sport hire (please note that there is no parking allowed on the beach during peak season). Babbacombe beach is on the opposite side of Babbacombe Bay and is about a 10 minute walk away, through wooded cliffside paths, or you can walk along Babbacombe Downs and follow the road down to the beach. Babbacombe is a smaller and quieter beach, which has its own concrete fishing pier, there is a small cafe on the beach which serves basic drinks and snacks. The beach does benefit from its own car park, however, be warned, the road is incredibly steep with sharp hairpin bends and during summer months can the car park can get very busy. Sitting just above the beach is the Cary Arms, a boutique hotel which has its bar and restaurant open to the public. The bar and restaurant has a lovely terrace area for food and drinks, which has the most incredible views across Babbacombe Bay.
Just a 2 minute walk from the property is the beautiful Babbacombe Downs, this is the highest cliff top promenade in the country, with views all across Lyme Bay - on a clear day you can see as far as Portland Bill! The Downs provides not only a stunning vista, but an idylic green space, perfect for dog walks, picnics or just lazing around taking in the view and Babbacombe sunshine. Along the Downs are many good quality pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes, including Angels Tea Rooms which is a must visit, having won 'Best Tea Rooms in Devon' award several times.
A five minute walk away is St Marychurch shopping precinct, which provides a great selection of local shops, including - bakery, butchers, fish-mongers & deli, greengrocers, chemist, post office, cafes, pub, opticians, chocolatiers, hairdressers & barbers. Close by you also have a Tesco Express, Co-op and a small Sainsburys.
Torquay town centre is just 2 miles away and just 3 miles away is the WIllows, which has a large Sainsburys and a M&S superstore.
Eating out, you are spoiled for choice, all within walking distance you have a choice of Indians, award winning fish restaurant Hanburys and a great selection of local restaurants. There are also lots of take-aways including Chinese, Indian, Thai, fish & chips, Pizza (Pappa Johns) and a kebab house.
You potentially never need use your car whilst staying with us!

Other things to note
Please note there is an additional charge of £15 per dog (2 dogs maximum) on all bookings bringing furry friends, this is payable to the hosts before departure.

There’s an additional £20 linen charge for bedding if using the futon or bringing a 3rd guest.

Please be aware that the Futon in the lounge is not a pull-out sofa bed and there are no curtains/blinds in the lounge or conservatory.

The space
Upon entering the property, you will be delighted by the original hallway features, from which you will find two sitting rooms, the dining area and the turquoise kitchen- a perfect hint of the seascape that awaits you on the sun-soaked patio.

Upstairs in Rose Cottage is a place to retreat and relax in large, comfy beds, crisp linens and fluffy towels. The house offers five bedrooms, namely 2 x king-doubles with en-suite, 1 x king-double, 1 x twin/zip super-king and 1 x children's-single (please advise upon your configuration needs). In addition, the house also has a separate toilet and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

The simple joys of this property are not restricted indoors. Rose Cottage features a delightful, secluded patio and a private, well-maintained cottage garden, a magical spot for grilling some delicious freshly caught seafood from England's acclaimed seafood coast.
