- "No access to garden from house, you had to walk around a slippery path and up 3 steps to get to it. Uncomfortable cane furniture, nowhere to stretch out after long days walking. Bed uncomfortable, no bedside lights or tables so it was pitch dark when you turned off the main light and you had to fumble your way to the bed. Could not work out how to use the oven even with a few instructions. Microwave sounds like it’s about to pack up. DVD player didn’t work. The cleanliness was good and the area is lovely. We cut our holiday short by 1 day as couldn’t stand another day of discomfort."

Church Cottage, built in 1824, offers comfortable and spacious yet cosy accommodation. It is located in the unspoilt and charming village of Charmouth, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Jurassic coast. The cottage has an open plan kitchen/diner plus a comfortable family space suitable for relaxing and socialising, both with seating for six people and a television with Smart TV functionality. In addition, there is a separate snug/cosy lounge with wood burning stove, well stocked book cases and TV, offering a smaller, quieter space. Bedroom 2, separated from the Master Bedroom by the family bathroom, has a king size bed and two windows make it light and airy. The family bathroom has a full sized bath and overhead shower, WC and hand basin with smart touch lighted mirror and shaver point. Bedroom 3, again dual aspect, has a unique curved wall, characteristic of Georgian properties, with twin beds which can be configured as a king size bed, if required. There is a useful utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and storage for walking boots/ outdoor gear/ wetsuits. The private outside seating space is paved and has a table with six chairs for al fresco dining or relaxing in the fresh Dorset air. There is private parking, suitable for two vehicles, at the rear of the property. Access to the cottage, via a shared driveway, is narrow so alternative unlimited parking is available on The Street.

A beautiful cottage situated in the centre of Charmouth village, 7 mins walk from the beach. The Jurassic Coast is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the UK and is famous for fossil hunting. The cottage is over 250 years old, has lots of character and has been beautifully restored with modern features and amenities. The cottage can sleep 7 with three bedrooms and a private garden with outside seating & BBQ. We are pet friendly and there is an open log fire to warm up after blustery beach walks. There are sea views from the master bedroom and upstairs landing. The house is in an excellent location, just off the A35 and a short walk or drive to Lyme Regis. A short 10 minute walk takes you on the SW coast path. It is a private residence so well stocked with items you might need during your stay from tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt, pepper, kitchen foil etc to save you having to make unnecessary purchases and there is a lovely village pub and shop within a few minutes walk.

- "As my husband was the one who booked the cottage, the property manager would not communicate with me directly which was difficult because I arrived at the cottage a few days before my husband. When I did arrive at the cottage the heating was set at 14C and took some time to heat up. Having said that, the cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything there that we needed. The location was great for the village and the beach. It was easy to manage the temperature control and all in all we enjoyed our stay there, and we hope to return.Make sure you duck when going between kitchen and hallway. There is a low arch.
