Albury House is a thatched 17th century spacious, stylish and comfortable family home in the centre of Charmouth, ideal all year round for large families to enjoy quality time together. There are two attractive reception rooms, each with a television and comfortable seating, plus a library and reading area, and a separate conservatory with a table and chairs. The well-equipped kitchen has an Aga and family dining area, and extends galley style with two further areas to allow for easy meal preparation, and includes a dedicated coffee station with pod machine. A study, a useful utility area, and a cloakroom, complete the ground floor accommodation.

Two separate staircases lead you to the five first floor bedrooms, and all are all light and airy, with four having en-suite facilities. A generous family bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower enclosure completes the first floor accommodation, along with a small snug area off the rear landing. For those wishing to accommodate 12 guests, a fold-away bed or sofa bed are available when booking.

Guests are well catered for with Fibre Broadband, Sky with Sky Sports HD and Sky Cinema HD, an Xbox 360, and plenty of games, books, DVDs and children's toys. Just be sure to wear good boots if it's wet outside- we got into a good amount of mud in the Spittles, but it was worth it for the views. The Ammonite Pavement just past Lyme Regis is a must-see and we found loads of fossils and sea glass on the pebble beaches between Lyme Regis and Charmouth- no tools required. Just a sharp eye. All in all, we were really pleased with this booking. The price and location were fantastic, the owners were very friendly and responsive, and I can't think of any areas in which the experience was lacking. If you come in summer, be sure to bring a bathing suit and fishing pole!"
