- "Our stay at Podere Consani was ideal. The home is well appointed and we cooked many meals and wanted for not. We were invited to the fresh herbs from the garden and enjoyed the home grown olive oil provided in a lovely welcome basket. Our host was absolutely incredible and available for any inquiries. Also, she had provided some provisions that we did not anticipate we would be needing (extra toilet paper, and laundry detergent). The property is clean and comfortable with plenty of room. We were able to have space and time alone as well as gathering for meals, coffee and wine. Very comfortable for 3-4 people. The drive up to the property is scenic and tranquil. It was a little tricky at first but then we sorted out the gps and it became super simple. The short trip down the hill to the market, or a little further into the lovely town of Lucca makes this location perfect to get away and enjoy simplicity or venture not too far out to experience the magic of the antiquity of Italy. We will come back again. We are so grateful for Susan, her family and, of course, the wonderful animals that greeted us upon arrival and every morning for coffee."

"Il Visciolo" was a typical Tuscan barn. We converted it to a modern home in 2006 respecting the rural tradition of the Florentine province, preserving the exterior aspect and recycling the original materials whenever possible.

# EVERYTHING AT WALKING DISTANCE
Our converted barn is located few steps away from the centre of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, a village set in the Chianti area of Tuscany. The village of San Casciano in Val di Pesa has got many shops, bars, some good restaurants and pizzerias. All of them can be reached on foot, as our holiday home is at just 350 metres from the village centre. A big COOP supermarket is 7 minutes walk from the house.

# EXPLORING TUSCANY
Florence centre can be reached in 30 minutes by public coach service, departures are at 650 metres from the property. Our holiday house is much appreciated by those who want to visit Florence without a car or to explore Tuscany. A dual carriageway leading to Florence and Siena is 3.5Km away. For guests with one or two cars, we have a private parking inside the property.
The central railway station of Florence SMN can be reached by public transport in approximately 35 minutes.

# THE HOUSE
Two bedrooms with air conditioning. The main bedroom has got a double bed (160 x 195 cm), wardrobe, drawer. The secondary bedroom has got two desks and a wardrobe, with two twin beds (can be joined on request) on a mezzanine under the roof.
Two bathrooms, an equipped kitchen, a living room. Bedding and linen are included.
There is a heating system on both floors. A fast Internet connection (30 Mbps VDSL with Wi-Fi b/g/n router) at your exclusive use, all the house and part of the garden are covered by Wi-Fi (you can turn it off any time).
The TV set is connected to the Internet and has got Chromecast so you can connect it to your smartphone or tablet. Also available Free-To-Air Satellite TV (mostly German channels).

The house is not suitable for children between one-and-half and six years old.

# OUTSIDE: TERRACE and GARDEN
The terrace in front of the house has got a great view over the countryside, it's at your exclusive use. You can have meals outside as it's equipped with table and chairs under a gazebo (uncovered during Winter). A stone barbecue is available (wood is not provided). A garden with olive trees and fruit trees surrounds the house (shared with us owners). On the back there is our farmhouse and other buildings of the village. The property is part of the village of San Casciano, it is not isolated in the countryside.

# A RELAXING TUSCAN EXPERIENCE
Unlike other places in the province of Florence, San Casciano is not a small town crowded with tourists. You will find a lively and typical environment of the Tuscan countryside. Although the village suffered great devastation during the Second World War, some historical parts of medieval origin were saved.
By staying at Il Visciolo, you can relax watching great sunsets, go shopping on foot, eat good food in one of the various restaurants frequented by locals, visit Florence comfortably by suburban bus. Taking the car, if you have one, only to reach other Chianti villages and cities in Tuscany.

Tenuta La Fuga ( literally "The Escape") is a charming farmhouse nestling in the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside. It reflects the Folonari family’s great love for Tuscany, its land, its grapes, and the wines produced from its vineyards and that for centuries have been at the heart of the family business.
La Fuga is at the center of one of Italy’s most beautiful regions, the land of Brunello, one of Italy’s most famous wine-producing areas. Located near Montalcino (41 km from Siena), the rural surroundings make it a very quiet and peaceful dwelling, the only noises being the swallows flying joyfully in the sky just before sunset.

The pool, for the exclusive use of the guests, offers sunny areas as well as relaxing shady spots where a pergola gives extra shelter for outdoor dining. The pool area is fenced all around for safety.

There are many interesting places to visit in the area, but if one day you prefer the peace that the house offers, our trusted in-villa chef would be available, after the appointment, to cook for you or to give an enjoyable cooking lesson.

At Tenuta La Fuga you may visit our cellar where we produce our Brunello wine with our caretaker, upon his availability, but there is not an organized wine tasting. If you are a real wine lover and would like to know further about our production, please come and visit our main cellars by the Tenuta di Nozzole near Greve in Chianti, where we hold proper wine tastings. Booking your visit and wine tasting in advance is strongly recommended. Visiting the lovely and lively village of Greve in the morning, and visiting our cellar at Nozzole in the afternoon, could be an opportunity to see another beautiful part of Tuscany, the Florentine province.

Davide who manages the house was welcoming and explained all of the aspects of the home to us upon our arrival. The house was incredibly comfortable and clean. The surrounding vineyard were stunning and the house provided plenty of outdoor vantage points to enjoy this. Two areas to consider with this home. The kitchen area has two beautiful windows/doors for natural light but the sink area was dark. Also, this home is located approximately 15 minutes outside of Montalcino so arriving before dark is advised. The owners provided a sampling of their wine and a welcome basket (along with eggs, milk, juice, pasta and sauce), which was lovely and then also had a a full complement of their wines for us to purchase and drink during our stay. We loved this as it allowed us to try out a few wines from their label during our stay with ease. Last, if arriving home after a long day of touring, the home is well equipped for cooking dinner at home (or arranging dinner with Chef Francesco who was wonderful!) with a full set of pots and pans, a grill and all of the dish ware needed for a full dinner. We enjoyed dinner with Chef Francesco on our first night and ate at home two other nights to avoid going back out after long days of sightseeing and visiting wineries. Great option for families. We would definitely return!"

Paolina provided exact GPS co-ordinates and finding the house was straightforward - we were met by Estelle and were soon settled in and sat in the terrace with a glass of wine. During the week we walked in the hills above Cortona, around Chiusure in the val d'Orcia and these were lovely, but because the weather was so good - it was very warm walking! Sightseeing we stayed fairly close to home; Cortona, Arezzo and Montepulciano and doubtless missed many other fine places nearby. We drove around lago Trasimeno and enjoyed Castiglione del Lago (excellent truffle omelette for lunch) and Passignano sul Trasimeni (fine aperitivos overlooking the lake). We ate in Cortona at the Osteria del Teatro (twice) and the Trattoria Toscana. The cooking at the Osteria is doubtless finer but the grilled veal chop at the trattoria will live on in my memory for a long time! We were lucky with the weather and were able to spend most of our time at the house relaxing on the terrace - we BBQ'd twice and were able to eat outside the whole week. All in all, this was a splendid week in a relaxing house... we enjoyed it very much. "

One can also go for day trips to many beautiful medieval towns scattered on the hills of Tuscany from here. Yes, we border with the world famous Chianti wine region! Amazing landscape all around!

It took us maybe 45 Minutes longer, but it was a nice trip. You can also go to Pisa, Lucca and Firenze by train easily. 'Casa Civetta' is close to many family-friendly activities, the art and culture of the Tuscan cities, fabulous inexpensive restaurants, and a coast that is only 30 minutes away with miles of beaches. Casa Civetta is on a large family estate dominated by the 15th century 'Villa Padronale', yet in a completely private setting with no immediate neighbours. You will love the charm of the cottage, its setting in the Tuscan countryside with stunning views, and its convenient location in the Maremma. The property has a pretty garden, is surrounded by olive groves, wide open spaces and views and is a two minute walk from a swimming pool in the main villa garden. The newly renovated cottage is ideal for couples, solo adventurers. It makes a great summer base especially, but is rentable all year round and has air-conditioning. The apartment is about 55sq metres.

We have many years experience in renting out our family properties. On the estate we have rented out our 6 bedroom luxury villa through the high end London agency CV Villas for nearly 3 decades. We have decided to continue this trend and have recently continued to renovate our other properties. Another three cottage-apartments available for rentals on the estate are: a 2 bedroom cottage called Casa Chiesa (8369630), a 2 bedroom cottage called Casa Cavalli (6715725) and a 2 bedroom cottage called Casa Amiata (6722787).

We have a large staff on the estate who have experience in hospitality, and we can help organise some extra services/activities: station & airport pick-ups and drop-offs, and help with recommending what to do and see.

The swimming pool belongs to the main villa and used by the agritourism - it is a private communal pool that is only shared amongst guests staying at Monteverdi. Please note that the pool is 11mx5m and has a max depth of 2.20m: there is NO lifeguard at the pool, and while the pool is fenced in, parents or guardians are responsible for keeping unattended children out, and to keep the gate locked. Guests will need to sign a responsibility/liability waiver form before use. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised at all times.
The consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden at the pool.
The pool opening times are 8am – 6pm everyday.
The pool is opened for the summer season from the middle of June until the middle of
September – the pool is not open to guests outside of this time unless agreed to with the owners.

Check In FROM 17.00-1930, Check Out is BY 09.30 (am), unless agreed to prior. Please note there is a surcharge of €40 for late check-ins after 1930 as if out of work hours someone will have to be called in. Late check-ins can also be very inconvenient so to be avoided if possible.

In the local village, Paganico, there are banks, bars, a chemist, restaurants, a small train station, shops and tennis courts.

Do you love nature? Then you will like it here. On the romantic plot (7000 sqm) with wine, fig and olive trees will feel right at home. Drin a cottage hidden: 3 rooms, kitchen, bathroom and conservatory at 50 square meters - our house is a space saver. the living room (9 square meters) was from the historic vineyard cottage with TV (all German programs). This is followed by the kitchen (with a combined gas hob / electric tube / dishwasher and refrigerator) and a bathroom (shower + toilet). Verso, but each also with exterior windows, followed by the two bedrooms. The actual bedroom (6 sqm) is equipped with a new fixed bed (190x80 cm) and an equally large folding bed with new, good mattress and a closet. The Terrace Room (8 square meters), the door of which actually opens the conservatory, has a fixed bed with 200x90 also new mattress. Before that, another folding bed can provide that is otherwise stored in the chamber. A fifth, also high-quality and new folding bed can be put in the conservatory or in the living room. The conservatory (16 sqm) is our pride. Here, life is starting to the big table fit well 6 chairs, both the side walls and the roof can be opened, so that it is never too hot. In summer it is very grateful for the Northern orientation of the house and the always gentle breeze. The can be enjoyed on the three terraces (one covered, one open and the roof terrace, if you want to sunbathe times completely retracted).
New is our fiberglass WLAN with 50 Mbps. That should be enough that you can look your local television (with your own equipment) also or stream music. We bought three new Kippliegen for terrace recently. And at the special request of our 13-year-old daughter a bright red floating deck.
We want you to feel comfortable with us. Therefore, this section also what we do not have: There is no air conditioning (in both bedrooms hums wish each a ceiling fan). We have no luxury beach chairs, but simple patio furniture. The furniture is still the bought up on the beds 30 years ago. If you are looking for style and luxury, then you are most certainly come to the wrong address. There are many flowers for us, peaches and figs grow directly in your mouth.

"Il Metatino" is a lovingly restored former chestnut roasting cottage, keeping it's original features, with arches, exposed chestnut beams and terra-cotta tiled floors and ceilings, with white washed walls. It has a couple of outside terraces, one with a pergola shaded by an ancient fig tree and another which is a sun trap, all have fantastic views with medieval hamlets and villages perched on the hillsides. The nearest town of Bagni di Lucca (the baths of Lucca) is 4 miles away down the valley and has all the amenities you could wish for, the historic city of Lucca is 16 miles away and the jewel of Tuscany.

Staying here gives you the chance to explore three important aspects of this beautiful region of Italy. Firstly, the art, architecture and civilised way of life in towns and cities - Lucca (18 miles), Pisa (35 miles) and Florence (60 miles) are easily reached by road or rail. Though they are further away, Bologna, Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano are all viable day trips by car. Lucca our provincial capital is truly a memorably beautiful town. The walk around the wall is the favourite walk of many locals let alone tourists, with views of the town on one side and of the surrounding countryside on the other. Bikes can be hired to add healthy extra exercise to the experience.

Secondly, there is the beach culture to sample. You will be a little over an hour's drive from Viareggio the main resort of the Versilian coast and miles of sandy beaches backed by the marble mountains of Carrara. The beaches are mainly managed by entry-charging concessions but there are advantages - umbrellas and loungers provided in your own space, freshly raked sand and, for refreshment, hot drinks, soft drinks, chilled wine and beer and cold and hot food on pleasant terraces. Further on, up the coastal autostrada and now a total drive of 90 minutes, Lerici is well worth a visit - a lovely little coastal town in a beautiful setting with a regular boat service across the Gulf of the Poets (Shelley, etc.) to the equally beautiful resort of Portovenere.

Thirdly is the Italy often hidden from the package tour tourist. This house is in the heart of a relatively unspoilt, hilly country region with the charming town of Bagni di Lucca just a ten minute drive away. The town has a three-pool facility in a beautiful, scenic setting, restaurants, bars, a range of shops and a local market. Villages are set in hilly chestnut forests where self-sufficiency exists alongside the use of local supermarkets. Footpaths and ancient mule tracks provide scenic routes for walkers of all ages and abilities. One favourite walk is the 15 minute stroll from the house to the well-stocked food shop in the next village! Another favourite activity has been simply sitting in the late afternoon sun on the courtyard, with an aperitivo, looking at the view and drinking in the atmosphere - along with the aperitivo of course!

The search for a warm and welcoming Tuscan abode is over. Cottage Roccaio is a stone-clad home adjoined to another occupied house on a small family estate encircled by olive groves. Very cool stone environments and with swimming pool with wellness air for your complete comfort and relaxation.

The space
From here, the alluring hill towns of Tuscany and Umbria are within easy reach. The vibrant, medieval hill town of Castiglion Fiorentino is within a five minute drive, and Cortona, Tuscany's highest hill town is 10 minutes away.

This cottage very comfortably hosts up to three couples with each bedroom having its own newly remodeled, en suite bathroom. Guests are greeted by a spacious living and dining room incorporating all the elements of a classic country home from the terracotta tiles to the thick beamed ceilings. At least one window is screened in each room. Beside the fireplace, there's a tablet, WiFi modem and a television with English language movie channels.

The swimming pool is on a level slightly above the cottage. The outdoor dining area for Cottage Roccaio is cleverly tucked into a covered portico offering a cool shady refuge during the day and a sheltered dining area on breezy evenings. The house beside Cottage Roccaio shares only the same driveway.

The friendly family who owns Cottage Roccaio are utterly fantastic hosts and live within a short drive. Gian Mario shares his passion for cars, nature and history by taking guests on a woodland tour in his vintage Land Rover Defender. This optional outing follows the forested pathways traveled by St. Francis of Assisi. In either Cottage Roccaio or their own home, Gian Mario's wife will gladly conduct an evening cooking class. It is their adult son and his family who are your next door neighbors. The surrounding olive trees produce a limited quantity of extra virgin olive oil that may be purchased on-site.

Within five minutes by car is the medieval hill town of Castiglion Fiorentino with some shops, cafes and restaurants. This area's ancient heritage is reflected year round with festivals and pageantry. Some of the more colorful events take place in July on each weekend with a festival honoring either pizza, ostrich, wild boar or frogs. Welcome to a lovely house in the heart of Chianti (Panzano).
The house is 800 m outside of town and is in the middle of the hills of Chianti.
The house is independent and has access to a pool.
The bedrooms are located on the second floor (see picture of the stairs) and one of them is an open space on the living room.
There are two bathrooms (one upstairs with a bath tub and the second one downstairs with a shower). The house is inside a property and the owners are here for you if you need to. There are two tables outside one in the front and one in the back. At the pool there is also the possibility of using a barbecue.
