- "I was taken back by how clean the facility was and how friendly the staff were. We booked this a little impulsively due to a last minute booking mistake but I would honestly stay here again if I had the chance. They make it feel like a mini home with so much information telling you about the weather, things to do in the area, where to eat, etc. The common rooms and kitchens are so nice and stocked if you needed something. There were two toilet rooms, one shower room, and a kitchen with a fridge and microwave in the Annex house for all the rooms to share. The house was always clean. The AC in my room worked very well. The breakfast is great and the staff are all so kind, helpful, and welcoming. The owner is especially very kind. Location is also perfect, you're just a one-two minute walk from Higashiyama subway station and a 12-15 minute walk from Sanjo Keihan station. Walking distance to many sights in Higashiyama. I greatly enjoyed spending evenings on the banks of the Kamogawa River or shopping downtown and then just walking back over the bridge from the city center to the guest house. Can't recommend this place enough. When I return to Kyoto one day I'll definitely stay again. Thank you!!!"
