Secondly, after I stayed at Fitgers 3-years ago, on my first ever trip to Duluth, there was NO question where I would stay this time! I was SO impressed w/my little, cozy room!!!! The gentleman who came up w/me w/my suitcase, pointed out that Fitger's has recently remodeled the bathrooms. I I was speechless (and ask anyone who knows me how often THAT happens!) at the beauty of the fixtures, the towel design, The shower!!!!!!! WOW!!!! I was grateful for the shower & that it wasn't a bathtub/shower combination! Those types of bathrooms frighten me as I have a fear of tripping and falling in those set-ups. It was evident that Fitger's spared no expense! I am aware that the bathrooms must have been expensive as the choice of tile, the 'barn door' shower, the glass door (WOW 😱)........ The bed was very comfortable and the TV was wonderful! I was glad for the refrigerator as I am a diabetic and take insulin nightly. The choice of programming really blew me away! The furniture. INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Truly exquisite wood and, was yet another example of the pride that Fitger's take in their property! I'm sorry this is so long, but, I will close w/the restaurant. In the morning before breakfast we were able to walk around in the neighborhood to see the gardens on our way to the lift bridge to watch the boats. They got my order wrong 3 times. I finally got frustrated and walked down there and showed them what they kept getting wrong. They said they would fix it and when I checked it, it was still wrong. " - "Was really impressed with the cleanliness! Breakfasts were awesome with lots of delicious choices AND differed from each day. Waffles, breakfast burritos etc…. Very convenient to Duluth. Enjoyed the pool area and sauna, towels were placed on each chair which was an extra special touch."
