- "We stayed for 1 night and were delighted with the hotel, grounds, facilities and bar / dining experience. The leisure facilities were great and the swimming pool and hydrotherapy pool / sauna / steam room were very clean and a lovely peaceful benefit to our stay. Unfortunately, the Vines Restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay. Our evening meal in Redmond's Brasserie was lovely and the full English buffet breakfast the following morning was delicious! The bar staff in Morgan's Bar were very helpful and attentive and the drinks were surprisingly very reasonably priced. The open fires in the bar and seating areas were delightful and welcoming. We can't recommend staying here to anyone enough and would definitely return in the future. The only constructive criticism I wish to offer is that it is that hotel residents should receive a considerably reduced tariff for use of the 'Spa at Carden' facilities, with the option to purchase spa treatments if desired.
