Our only complaint wasn't with the room but with Ocean Key Resort. Our room was not clean when we arrived although Ocean Key Resort said it was. My 3 year old son found an empty Crush soda can under the bed, raisins on the floor (which meant it wasn't swept prior to our arrival) and dirt/dust in the bathroom. Another annoyance with Ocean Key Resort is we placed our sandals outside of our door as respect for the owners. Someone threw away or stole our sandals. "

This is a nice 1 bedroom 1 bath timeshare unit with kitchen and everything you need. The resort is right across the street from the Oceanfront in VA Beach. The resort is ranked 22 out of 115 in VAB and has been totally redone. This unit sleeps up to 4 people and is conveniently located at 4th and Atlantic next to Rudy Inlet at the south end of the boardwalk. Great place to ride bikes or rollerblade. Unit has a full kitchen stocked with pots pans and dishes so no need to eat out. Kitchen has a small mini fridge type refrigerator that is not shown in photos. Refrigerator that is in unit will be half size and fits under the counter. Flat screens in every room, really comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, all redone a few years ago. Also directly across from Waterman's Seafood restaurant and the 4th street pavilion on the boardwalk where they have good live music. A few blocks from giant jungle gym structure at the south end of the boardwalk.

An easy walk to the heart of VAB - the boardwalk, restaurants, bars, night life, roller coasters and rides, mini golf, arcades, and the ocean front and beaches. Great place for kids and adults.

The city of VA Beach pays bands and street acts to perform on every other street corner every night between 17th and 30th Street. Free concerts at the several pavilions up and down the boardwalk. Great place to ride bikes or rollerblade. Parking included. Indoor pool and hot tub. Arcade games, gym, activities, grocery delivery from Harris Teeter. 45 minutes from Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.

We love this hotel because it is the perfect location - you are across the street from the ocean near the huge jungle gym at the end of the board walk. A stones throw from where the boat tours and deep sea fishing boats go out.

We love this resort because it is the perfect location - you are far enough from Atlantic Ave to not hear all the noise from the crowds but close enough to easily walk to the beach carrying your boogie boards and gear. Since its been redone the rooms are as nice as the Marriott. I'll also throw in access to the rooftop indoor pool, Sauna, hot tub and huge deck overlooking the strip at the Ocean Sands, Ocean Front at 23rd street. For weekly rentals, housekeeping will not enter or service units during the week, but fresh towels and linens can be requested, as needed. For your convenience, trash chutes are located on the north end of each hallway.

There is one parking space for each unit at Barclay Towers. Should you bring a second car or have guests visiting you, you can purchase parking through the City Garage directly across the street from Barclay Towers. The garage offers a discounted rate to Barclay Towers guests.

Pets and smoking are not permitted. Violation of this policy may result in fines.

Please note that the resort maintains the units for timeshare owners, including cleaning, decorating, and maintenance. Barclay Towers makes every effort to prepare all units for occupancy at the stated check-in time. - Boardwalk Resort & Villas is professionally managed and operated by Hilton Vacation Club (formerly Diamond Resorts). The Front Desk is staffed 24/7 for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance. They are there to help so please don’t hesitate to contact them during your stay.

- This is a FLOATING unit type. What that means is that you are guaranteed an OCEANFRONT 1BR/1BA directly overlooking the VB Boardwalk, Beach, and Atlantic Ocean as depicted in the photos. Your unit location (High or Low floor, etc) will be determined at Check In. You may also call the Front Desk ahead of time about 7-10 days before Check-In and request a certain unit location. Although you can never be guaranteed a specific location the Front Desk will usually try to accommodate requests if they can.

- One FREE parking pass is included with this unit. If you need a parking pass for an additional vehicle you can arrange this directly with the Front Desk for an additional fee.

- Bedding linens, blankets, pillows are provided, as are bath towels. If you need additional items or want fresh bedding linens or towels during your stay, please contact the Front Desk. Although bedding linens, blankets, and pillows are provided, you may want to bring some of your own if you have a favorite pillow or blanket.

- If you plan on using the Sleeper sofa during your stay, I do personally recommend (if possible) bringing sheets, blankets, pillows, maybe even a mattress pad for the Sleeper sofa specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable extra bed.

- Pool towels are provided for free, and they can be exchanged for fresh ones on an unlimited basis. However, if you or your family owns and likes larger beach towels, I recommend bringing them.

- You should bring your own Beach Chairs / Beach Blankets / Umbrellas / Coolers / Equipment you want to use on the beach. If you don’t bring your own stuff, you are able to rent Beach chairs / Umbrellas out on the Beach in front of the facility.

- Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, shampoos, etc are all provided. If you need more during your stay you can contact the Front Desk and they can provide them. We have never personally had an issue receiving the supplies we needed. There is also a Harris Teeter grocery store conveniently located within a few minutes from the facility if you want to shop for any groceries or personal items you want during your stay.

- There is no daily housekeeping provided. However, the Front Desk can provide a vacuum, or broom and dustpan, to use in your unit if you wanted it. Washers and Dryers are also available (at no additional charge) on alternating floors for guests to use if desired. If additional housekeeping is desired during your stay it is available for an additional fee scheduled directly with the Front Desk.

- If you or any members of your family enjoy bike riding, I strongly recommend taking your own bikes (if you have the means to do so). Virginia Beach was designed with a special bike path along the Boardwalk to cater to bike riders. It's possible to use bikes as your main means of transportation during the week to travel up and down the Boardwalk, and around town. Remember to take your bike locks so you can lock up your bikes at the bike rack each night.

- There is a Virginia Beach Coupon booklet available pretty much everywhere in vending type machines along Atlantic Ave, including the Front Desk / Lobby at pretty much all the properties in VB. In this booklet you can find some coupons that offer decent discounts on food, entertainment, and equipment purchases (like bike rentals if you are not able to bring your own).

This is an Ocean View 1 bedroom condo/suite timeshare in Ocean Beach Club, one of the top resorts in Virginia Beach, and goes for nearly $500 per night on Expedia in late August.
