You have a separate entrance to your private space, which consists of 2 adjacent bedrooms with 4 beds & a large en suite bathroom with both a shower and bathtub/shower combo. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed and a daybed/trundle that converts to a twin bed. Bedroom 2 has a king-size bed and a twin bed. If requested, we can move the twin out of Bedroom 2 and relocate the table and chairs into the room.

Both bedrooms have door locks from the inside, ample closet space, luggage racks, ceiling fan/lights with remote control and alarm clocks. Bedroom 2 is suitable for working remotely with its desk. The apartment has very high speed WiFi (>400 Mbps download & >200 upload speeds).

There is an Ecobee temperature sensor in Bedroom 1 and guests can control the temperature in the space through the downloaded Ecobee app.

The large en suite bathroom has both a shower and bathtub/shower combo. Guests in both bedrooms have private access to the bathroom either through the walk-in closet that connects to Bedroom 1 (through two sets of doors) or from the hallway. Both of the bathroom's doors are lockable from the inside.

Towel refreshment is available during your stay. In addition, Guests can make arrangements with our live-in housekeeper for overnight laundry service ($40 minimum).

Guests have access weather permitting to the House's private tennis court. Owner can provide tennis racquets and balls upon request. The tennis court patio is available for guest use as well. Coolers and a Solo Stove fire pit are available for guest use upon request. Log bundles can be purchased at the nearby Giant Food in the Westwood Shopping Center.

Braeburn House is a perfect location for guests working in the Bethesda area, visiting family or wishing to explore the DMV (DC, MD, VA). The surrounding Bannockburn neighborhood is very walkable and safe. Our House is the first house on the left of Braeburn Parkway, which is a quiet and heavily treed cul-de-sac just off of Pyle and River Roads. From the 495 Beltway, Guests will take the River Road (MD 190) South exit for 1.5 miles and turn right on Braeburn Parkway. There is a turning lane onto Braeburn Parkway from River Road.

We are located inside the Beltway in Bethesda just off River Road (MD 190) near to Walt Whitman High School, Landon School and Holton Arms School. Our location provides easy access via your car or Uber/Lyft to many excellent restaurants & shops in downtown Bethesda, Cabin John, Potomac, Glen Echo, Chevy Chase, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. It’s only 8 minutes by car to the Bethesda Metro or Friendship Heights Metro stations (both on the Red Line) for a 30 minute train ride to downtown Washington, DC. There is ample indoor parking adjacent to the Metro Stations. Uber/Lyft to the Bethesda or Friendship Heights Metro Stations is approximately $10.

The Pyle Road/River Road WMATA T2 bus stop is around the corner from the house (3-4 min walk). The T2 bus will take you to the Friendship Heights Metro Station as well as the shopping mall and restaurants. From Friendship Heights you can take the Metro train south to DC or north to downtown Bethesda (1 stop). We provide a hard copy of the WMATA T2 bus schedule and an empty Metro card that you can use and refill when you take the bus or the Metro train.

You can take the T2 bus in the other direction (north) up River Road to Potomac Village and its shops and restaurants. The T2 bus line ends at Rockville Metro Station (also on the Red line). The washer and dryer that we will share is in the basement. We will respect your privacy and always ask instead of assume that we can come down and use it during your stay.
We know that many individuals have multiple chemical sensitivities and do our best to use aldehyde free products. However, every now and then there is a sale on a favorite fragrant shampoo of mine and I put it in the basement shower. Please lmk if you do have allergies and I will remove it.
To respect the needs of everyone who stays with us, please avoid smoking on the property and using fragrances.

This spacious apartment in Bethesda sleeps eight and is centrally located, close to everything that the Washington area has to offer. We are close to the National Mall, downtown Bethesda and the Metro, public bus stops, Georgetown University, Tyson’s Corner shopping mall, and the scenic beauty of Great Falls. We are across the street from the entrance to the Potomac River and the C&O Canal’s towpath, where you can go for hikes and bike along the water. We offer guests a bike rack filled with 6 bikes at your disposal. The towpath/bike path is 250 miles of Federal park land that will take you all over the Washington area and will connect you to downtown DC, downtown Bethesda, and scenic destinations like Mount Vernon. Fantastic location! This is a private entrance apartment in my home just blocks from lovely downtown Bethesda, close to to NIH and Walter Reed, and easy access to DC by metro or scenic drive. Private entrance, bright views, beautiful artwork, and comfortable amenities make for a happy visit. Walk to Trader Joe's, shops and restaurants.

NIH is super close. Easy access to Red Metro to downtown Washington DC. Guest parking is free. Nothing will disturb your rest, you will love this quiet and welcoming space!

The space
Lovely private bedroom with fireplace, en suite bathroom and separate mini-garden to enjoy only by you! You'll have your own coffee corner, tea-pot, mini fridge and microwave in the room to enjoy a nice morning start of the day and a quiet private dinner. Bed is a daybed that can be opened to double bed when hosting two people. However, the booking has to be clear if it is for one or two persons in advance, in order to prepare the bed accordingly.

Kitchen is common with me. Parking is free, there are parking spots around the corner, 30 steps from the house. There is easy access to Public transportation and it is nearby. Shopping is nearby and easily accessible too.

Ours is a quiet community, people respect each other and pay attention to the neighborhood. It is a lovely, quiet, respectful neighborhood.

The room is well prepared for a self-sustaining stay. Washer-dryer are in site, guests have access to kitchen in the house if request it.

Designed for your long-term stay! Small bedroom located on the second level of a townhome. The room is decorated with a twin bed with storage drawers, a table, chair, dresser, and closet. A full hall bath on the same level is shared with one other room. Full access to a stocked kitchen and washer and dryer. WiFi included. Trendy location near shopping/dining/movies at nearby Washingtonian Center/Rio/Crown. Near highway 270 and NIST in Gaithersburg.

The space
The townhouse has five rooms in total, all with long-term, screened guests. The house is pretty quiet since many guests spend much time taking advantage of the many local attractions and delicious, diverse food in the area. Interact as little or as much as you like with other guests.
This room is located on the second level and includes towels, linens, and a quilt. Extra blankets and pillows are available. We do provide starter toiletries and toilet paper for your convenience when you first arrive. Extra personal care items, first aid items, and cleaning supplies are in a closet if needed. A fully stocked shared kitchen is upstairs with the essentials you need like plates, bowls, mugs, silverware, cookware, and tools. The kitchen includes a microwave, range/oven, refrigerator, Instant Pot, blender/food processor, and coffee maker. You will purchase your own food. A washer and dryer are in the basement for your use. The washer is coin-operated.

Guest access
In addition to your room and shared bath, you can cook in the kitchen which has a refrigerator, microwave, range/oven, coffee maker, and other small appliances. Washer and dryer are also available in the basement.

During your stay
The property manager and landlord do not live in the house, but the property manager is available through Airbnb messenger at any time. We work to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Other things to note
For the safety and security of everyone, we request a background check and lease for all guests. After you book your stay, we will request information to complete a background check ($26). You may also email a recent one instead. If your background check is clear, we will issue you a standard lease to sign. Note that in the background check, we are only concerned about issues that could affect the safety and security of our other guests and the property owner. If the background check does not clear our screening process, we will cancel your reservation within 48 hours. The well-being of all guests and tenants, including you, is our concern.
