Relax and unwind in this beautiful European style retreat. Enjoy dinner on the patio at our 10 person table or a cup of coffee under the pavilion while your dogs and kids play. This home is truly supposed to feel like an oasis, an escape from the daily hustle. Listen to birds, collect fresh eggs from the chickens, gather a salad for dinner from the garden, all while maintaining the convenience of being just a short walk from downtown Towson!

The space
The master bedroom features a king size bed as well as a large walk in closet, floor to ceiling mirrors, and en-suite washer and dryer. An additional bedroom upstairs with a queen size bed and large closet space. There is a fully functioning office, fast and reliable high speed internet, and a twin couch/bed combo. One shared bathroom upstairs with walk in shower and rain feature. Downstairs is a children’s room featuring two cribs with an option to add an additional queen size bed. Large playroom fully stocked with toys, games, bikes, and a rock climbing wall! Large fully equipped kitchen, and a formal dining room with a table for 8. One and a half bathrooms on the first floor with a large shower as well as a soaking tub. Outside is a patio with a sitting area as well as el fresco dinning for 10, a pavilion with a television and sitting area as well as a mini fridge and 3 person bar seating. One acre of fully fenced in dog friendly yard. You are welcome to pitch tents for extra space, the yard is very flat. Please help yourself and enjoy the large vegetable and herb garden, rows of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and figs! We have 6 chickens that will start laying eggs mid to late August. On site parking for 4 cars. The driveway is shared with our neighbors so please be respectful.

The house is located walking distance to several restaurants, a playground, basketball courts, baseball field, a movie theater, coffee shops, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, a YMCA and more! 15 minute drive into Baltimore City. Walking distance to Towson University. Easy access to 695, 83, and 95.

20 minute drive to two local wineries, countless breweries between 10-40 minutes away. Towson is truly in the middle of everything.

Guest access
Guests will have complete access to the house, as well one acre of fully fenced in yard, patio, pavilion, garden, and chicken coop. The only shared feature is the driveway. The garage is locked for owner use only.

- "Stay was good regretfully the AC unit was having issues and 2 of three nights were hot sleeping wise owner communicated very late actually the day we were to check in with a list of rules that should have been sent months ago.. They were mostly normal rules and not really an issue other then how they were presented which was basically here is the long list of rules.. Such as they can view the driveway with cameras and they would know if extra guests were there at night.. Also mentioned their ability to monitor the temp in the unit.. Felt as if it was a bit much considering it was after they had been paid well in advance.. They were responsive to the AC issue and said it was a filter.. As you approach the home, you'll be greeted by an expansive front porch with peaceful views of the surrounding valley, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and catching up with friends and family. Spectacular sunset views can be enjoyed from the back patio, firepit or tree swing overlooking the flower farm.

The interior of the home is a seamless blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Enter through the elegant two-story foyer, where a grand staircase beckons you to explore further. To the left, you'll find a comfortable living room adorned with a cozy fireplace, while to the right, a spacious dining room awaits, also featuring a fireplace stove. (Please note the fireplaces are not functioning but provide plenty of old-world ambiance!)

The upper level reveals four nicely sized bedrooms with nine-foot ceilings, each exuding its own unique character. One of the bedrooms, known as the bridal suite, features a service staircase keeping true to the historic nature of the home. We have had guests stay with us who were in wheel chairs and they had a great experience!

Axios Farms has been modernized for your comfort including central air and heat provided by a newly installed geothermal HVAC system. In this way, the house is cooled and heated with the help of the natural temperatures underground. Between the fresh eggs laid by our hens and the beautiful flower garden (peak bloom between June and September) you will sure feel back to nature in this country retreat.

Your group’s experience will be further enhanced with the use of the game barn (blue detached building) which features a billiards/pool table, ping pong, foosball, cornhole and a smart TV. It’s the perfect place to hang out on a nice evening to watch a game or play a game. Please note the game barn is not fully climate-controlled, yet is enjoyable much of the year without the need of the provided fan and baseboard heaters.

There is ample parking on the property. While a 3-car garage is below the in-law suite, it is not available for guest parking as it is used for farming operations and storage. Guests can park in the driveway, roundabout circle or even on the grass field just below the flower farm if needed.

Guest access
You will have full access to the house, patio, game barn and lawn immediately surrounding house. Guests may tour the flower farm but are asked to not pick flowers and must keep the gate closed at all times. Guests are encouraged to visit the chicken coop (they love visitors) but may not enter the fenced area.

Other things to note
Enjoy the convenience of staying near Towson, Johns Hopkins and other great hospitals and universities, as well as many parts of Baltimore County that feature wonderful shopping and restaurants. This is a unique country setting just outside of the Baltimore City area in the suburbs of Baltimore County.

It’s a great option for small company retreats, a central hub for families in town for a wedding, visitors to Preakness, the Maryland Cycling Classic or other sporting events such as the Baltimore Orioles or Ravens.

Outside there is a Hot Tub for 4 and a patio with a gas grill and seating for 8. The Smart Tv's have all the premium channels/subscriptions. The house is stocked with board games, books, and necessities to make your visit convenient. The house is family-friendly; pack-n-play, toys, high chair, and other amenities are provided.

- "It’s nice to be there. Host was so helpful." - "The property is in a great location and close to Towson, across the street from Trader Joe’s. I believe we are the first guests to stay at this property. The photos are pretty accurate, however a couple of things to note: the unit is on the first floor and when the blinds are opened in the living/dining room, the view is the parking lot and dumpster; also the mirror was missing over the vanity in the primary bath and the sliding closet doors in the guest bedroom were not hung but leaning against the wall. There were several items missing when we first checked in (coffee maker, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels, sponge), but the host quickly brought them over to us. Overall a good experience, and once the things mentioned are fixed, I would visit again."

- "It was a very comfortable stay. They layout was very nice and once we found the garage entrance and parking, it was easy to access. My gF loved the bathroom and especially the tub and closet. Not gonna lie, I liked it too. The wide tub has me considering one for my next move, lol. The only issue was that it seemed the bedroom closet had some paint residue on the shelving (easily wiped off with a cloth, no biggie). And there was no trash can in the bathroom area. Other than that, lovely place and was close to some places we were planning to visit. We could have walked to the Town Center Next time I need a rental in Towson (even Baltimore), this would be at the top of my list!"

The owner notified me one hour AFTER check in, while I was en route to the location that she over booked and had to cancel. Not only did my family have to rush and find somewhere to stay, but I paid additional money to have the place staged. I received my money back but the level of professionalism with this company is horrible. I would NEVER utilize their company for services. How can you say you didn’t realize you overbooked an hour after my check in! And my dates were the 9th- 11th of December but this review shows my dates for the 8th-10th. We live in a brick cape cod home in a quiet neighborhood in Baltimore Co. next to a golf course and reservoir. We have two rooms in the second floor that are tastefully decorated, the second room with two queen beds. Both share a common full bathroom. There is also a built-in pool with a heated spa during the summer months (May-Sept). Use of pool and spa to be scheduled with owner. This bedroom is our son’s, who is away at college. Please know, all ABNB proceeds go directly to his college fund.

The space
Our home is conveniently located to Towson Mall, Goucher College, Hunt Valley Town Center and the I-695 Beltway. We are next to Loch Raven Reservoir, great for hiking, running and fishing. The neighborhood is not a through street, so it is good for walking and running as well.

Guest access
Each of the two bedrooms are accessible from the main floor. Upon request, the guests may use the kitchen. Guests may also use the outside patio. Pool use to be scheduled with the owner in advance. No parties or events. Pool and spa use only for Airbnb guests. Only guests over 18 years old, must have a responsible adult if younger than 25 years old.

During your stay
Breakfast provided: coffee, tea, breakfast bars, fruit (when available). Typically we welcome every new guest to our home. Entry is always through the kitchen door via the breezeway, door code to be provided. Use of home is limited to bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/patio use, as the home is our primary residence.

Other things to note
We do have a small, very friendly dog, “Sophie”...... everyone loves Sophie. She rarely, if ever, barks.

This suite really goes beyond the basics in all facets.

Bedroom:

1 bedroom equipped with a pillowtop mattress, high end pillows, sheets, and comforters, personal closets, wall mirrors, nightstands, accent lights, and a charging device.

Kitchen:

You will find this beautiful kitchen WELL STOCKED compared to any other air bnbs or hotels. Things that many other places forget, like a wine opener, can opener, potato peeler, chopsticks, steak knives, chef knives, strainers, pots, common spices / condiments, and various other kitchen paraphernalia are included for those that want to use the kitchen. Plus a toaster, tea kettle, Keurig coffee maker, and blender! The stainless steel appliances provide an added great look and will suite all your cooking needs. Once your food is complete, head over to the comfortable breakfast nook perfect for the space.

Main Living Room:

The plush couch and chairs surround a large 55" smart 4K LED TV. The TV has basic Verizon FIOS cable channels, along with Netflix, HULU, Amazon video, and more! Also, a BluRay DVD player is there in case of a rainy day or when a relaxing night is needed. Definitely plenty of different options to never get bored during your stay!

Parking:

There is ample parking with a long expanded driveway allowing for multiple cars to park.

Extra Stuff:

There is a hairdryer in the unit, as well as iron and ironing board. Some people forget about that until its too late, but we have it! I tried to think of all the little things that make a stay more comfortable. There are empty hangers in each of the closet, and plenty of extra towels, blankets, sheets and pillows. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, q-tips, cotton balls, etc are also all provided in the bathroom.

Guest access will be a unique code entered on a keypad on the doorlock. Upon entry, guests will have access to the entire space with exception of the supply closet.

Other things to note
At times, there may be guests staying in the air bnb unit above. We need not expect any disturbances unless the guests above are not following the house rules. If anything like this were to happen, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for quick resolution :) Also, there one small section in the ceiling leading to the kitchen area where the ceiling dips to just over 6 ft. So if you are a real tall person, this may not be the one for you.

As you approach the home, you'll be greeted by an expansive front porch with peaceful views of the surrounding valley, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and catching up with friends and family. Spectacular sunset views can be enjoyed from the back patio, firepit or tree swing overlooking the flower farm.

The interior of the home is a seamless blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Enter through the elegant two-story foyer, where a grand staircase beckons you to explore further. To the left, you'll find a comfortable living room adorned with a cozy fireplace, while to the right, a spacious dining room awaits, also featuring a fireplace stove. (Please note the fireplaces are not functioning but provide plenty of old-world ambiance!)

The upper level reveals four nicely sized bedrooms with nine-foot ceilings, each exuding its own unique character. One of the bedrooms, known as the bridal suite, features a service staircase keeping true to the historic nature of the home. For added convenience, there are 3 full bathrooms on this floor including a bathtub perfect for children. A pack-and-play with sheets is also provided in the bedroom with the rocking horse.

Back on the main floor, a beautifully decorated office space provides the perfect spot for remote work or a peaceful reading nook. Playing one of our vintage edition board games of Monopoly or Clue is sure to give your stay an authentic feel of historic Baltimore charm.

The heart of the home lies in its gourmet kitchen, which has been newly renovated and features modern amenities, ample storage, and a sunny breakfast area. A custom-made built-in butler's pantry connects the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring seamless entertaining experiences.

Our house offers 2 first-floor bedrooms in the attached in-law suite, complete with a separate private entrance. It is perfect for those travelling with guests who cannot use the stairs. This addition comprises a family room, full bathroom with shower, kitchenette, two bedrooms and a sitting area with a smart TV, providing flexibility for guests and multigenerational living. We have had guests stay with us who were in wheel chairs and they had a great experience!

Axios Farms has been modernized for your comfort including central air and heat provided by a newly installed geothermal HVAC system. In this way, the house is cooled and heated with the help of the natural temperatures underground. Between the fresh eggs laid by our hens and the beautiful flower garden (peak bloom between June and September) you will sure feel back to nature in this country retreat.

Your group’s experience will be further enhanced with the use of the game barn (blue detached building) which features a billiards/pool table, ping pong, foosball, cornhole and a smart TV. It’s the perfect place to hang out on a nice evening to watch a game or play a game. Please note the game barn is not fully climate-controlled, yet is enjoyable much of the year without the need of the provided fan and baseboard heaters.

There is ample parking on the property. While a 3-car garage is below the in-law suite, it is not available for guest parking as it is used for farming operations and storage. Guests can park in the driveway, roundabout circle or even on the grass field just below the flower farm if needed.

Other things to note
Enjoy the convenience of staying near Towson, Johns Hopkins and other great hospitals and universities, as well as many parts of Baltimore County that feature wonderful shopping and restaurants. This is a unique country setting just outside of the Baltimore City area in the suburbs of Baltimore County.
