Please note: The property is on US-422 you will hear the road. It's busy during the day, less so in the evening. Weekends can vary with Holidays. This is a fairly busy tourist area.

- "My friends and I stayed here for 9 nights in August. The house and grounds were beautifully and thoughtfully cared for, all rooms and spaces were clean and well-provisioned, and the property owner very responsive and considerate. We were attending an event, and didn't get to make use of the outdoor amenities, such as the well-stocked fire pit, but hope to do so the next time we stay. We are *definitely* planning to cone back and stay again! Additional notes: There is easy parking available for 4 cars, more if you don't mind parking each other in. The stairs down to the river may be difficult for folks with mobility issues, but for those able to safely make the trek, the outdoor spaces and views are worth the effort. I can't say enough good about our experience with staying here. If you're considering staying at this property, do it! :)"

Enjoy a relaxing fire in the firepit out back while toasting marshmallows! Deer are plentiful and occasional siting of black bears is quite possible. Our newly remodeled home is located at the top corner of our ‘working’ farm. Enjoy morning coffee on the enclosed sunroom or outside deck while taking in views of the valley (weather permitting), field of crops, sparkling pond, wildlife and if lucky, the soaring Eagles. In the evening watch amazing sunsets, stars in the night sky and fireflies glowing across the fields in summer. Enjoy a walk/run/bike ride and observe horses & cattle grazing. In August/September gather sunflowers from our 4 acres of sunny faces.

Emlenton is 5 1/2 miles away located on the Allegheny River, canoe rentals, kayaking, fishing, Rails to Trails for biking, walking or a daily run! Town offers brewery, winery, coffee shop, cigar shop, Italian restaurant and tavern with daily dinner specials. Also, 33 minutes to Grove City Premium Outlets with lots of shopping and many restaurants, breweries and wineries to choose from. Or just relax in a tranquil countryside atmosphere!

We say we are located best of all worlds, in Butler Co, PA but border Venango, Clarion and Mercer counties with numerous activities, dining and shopping!

We are currently collecting tour books, maps and coupons to have available for guests. There is local delivery for pizza, stromboli’s etc.

We had a wedding and things to do, but we could have stayed there the whole time and been perfectly happy!" - "My family had the best time staying here. We did not cook, but it seems like the kitchen has everyithing you would need. Still has the beautifully painted old flooring and the exquisite woodwork that you do not find anywhere today. The house is very clean and we all found the beds (3 king beds) comfortable. My brother in law loved the piano (he said it was in tune). The house is kid friendly. There is a high chair, plug covers, child locks on all of the kitchen cupboards and drawers. The stairs have gates installed if you need them. That, I think, is an awesome extra in a VRBO. The host is available and answers quickly whenever you need him. I only had a couple questions for him. The grounds are beautiful. It is next to a microbrewery - which had excellent beers. You should really make time to visit it (the have drinks for non beer people too). BUT if you don't want that, you should really try to walk to the falls which are just behind the brewery. I wish I had time to walk the grounds a little more to see it all. It is also very close drive to many places to eat. We were in town visiting cousins and I would not hesitate at all to stay here again. In fact, I will look again when visiting and hopefully it will be available. "

Overall, our stay was one of the best and we will definitely be coming back. The only thing that we found to complain about, and it was not detrimental, was there is no central air in the cabin. There are two small window units that do not keep up with the amount of space. There are, however , multiple fans throughout the cabin that push a nice amount of air. Again, we would highly recommend this cabin and we look forward to staying here again."

There is 5 miles plus of navigable waterway that can be accessed from our deck and dock down by "the Creek". Hike our 1 1/2 miles of trails on our private preserve. This large "Barndominium" is easily accessed from Rt. 79 or Rt. 80 utilizing Rt. 8. Forest and Creeks abound but with all comforts of home.

Our first floor guests have access to the trails, the kayaks, and our canoe. But remember - safety first always...

Dirty floor, dirty bathroom (I will spare you the details), dusty and stained carpets. We heard animals in the wall the first night so we did not sleep in one of the rooms. I texted Larry in the morning and he came while we were out to look at it and "clean" the bathroom. Unfortunately, when we got back that evening we saw a mouse and felt so uncomfortable that we packed up and drove home. It was a real disappointment."

I added a single fold out bed in living room to increase occupants to allow for 6.
Kitchen does not have a stove however I have stocked a crockpot,roaster oven,elec burners, elec stove,toaster oven,microwave and air fryer to stay in and cook if you like or order in from door dash.
We do live downstairs and often have company over but we have been hosting for over 3 years and noise has never been an issue. It's an old house and has some creeks but it is very cozy and everyone has positive feedback with their stay.
