8. If you fill a bag of trash during your stay, please take it out. Garbage containers are outside in the front of the building. Please do not put any loose garbage in the container outside, must be bagged. Trash is picked up on Wednesdays.
9. Please clean up any liquid spills quickly to prevent damage to hardwood floors. This includes any water in bathroom.
10. No burning candles.

Nearly 1600 sq ft plus huge covered deck overlooking the cove between Burnside Island and Burnside. This home sleeps up to 8. Master with memory foam King mattress/bed and full bath with both shower and soaking tub. Guest bedrooms feature queen beds and we also have two twin mattresses (in bedroom 3 closet) to get to 8 guests. Kitchen is fully equipped with regular range/oven, huge refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. It is also stocked with all dishes, silverware, pot/pans, skillets, toaster, coffee maker, everything you need for a week or weekend at the lake. There is also a full size washer and dryer and all linens and towels are included. Large dining room with 6 chairs. Great room with 47" mounted flat screen and master with 32" both ROKU streaming. The covered deck has 2 picnic tables and additional chairs along with gas grill and hammock. This was our second home and we loved the location enough we built our retirement home next door.

Lake Cumberland is a fisherman’s paradise. You can fish from your boat, from the banks of Burnside Island numerous other area located just minutes away from the property. Lake Cumberland is home to two Kentucky state parks: Lake Cumberland State Resort Park and General Burnside State Park.

Our fifth house we chose to add to Lake Vista Properties. We chose this house for its unique A-frame style and the wall to wall glass that makes up the back of the house. The view of Lake Cumberland is amazing at certain times of the year. Therefore, we named the property Window Lake.

The majority of the home is lined in cedar. The main level holds a full size bathroom with a washer and dryer, a bedroom with a queen size bed, kitchen, and living area that also has plenty of extra room for a blow up mattress that is provided.. Deck access is off the living area. A set of stairs takes you to the loft that holds a king bed and has access to a small Juliet deck that faces the front of the property.

Window Lake sits on an acre and a half and plenty of room to enjoy the outside with play. A fire pit area is located in the perfect spot to be able to enjoy the lake view at dusk. Parking space is available on the driveway which has been recently modified to accommodate a boat and trailer, there is also a covered shelter to park underneath.

🏡 Neighborhood Vibe: To get to many of the lakefront homes in this part of the country, you have to drive by some very rural areas with homes of all types in different types of conditions, including good and bad. This is an area where you have an abandoned trailer next to a big farm, next to a ranch-style house next to rusty trailers with scrap metal collections. Although the nearby streets have all of these different types of residences, everyone is respectful and will wave at you when you drive by. We consider the folks in this area our neighbors and a lot of the families have been in this region for generations. You will see this type of scenery in some of the hiking areas as well.

We don’t get to use this place as often as we’d like, so we’re thrilled to share it with guests who’ll enjoy and care for it like we do. Come relax, play, and recharge at Irie Escape.

Lowe Tide Lake House is a recently remodeled large house that is steps away to Burnside marina ramp! Welcome to My Old Kentucky Lakehouse—a vintage gem perched right on the cliffs of Lake Cumberland, offering the charm of an older home with all the modern amenities you need for a stress-free stay. With unrivaled panoramic views, this lakeside retreat promises a picturesque escape for you and your loved ones.

While the breathtaking scenery is the highlight of your stay, please be mindful that the property backs onto a natural cliff. Safety fences are in place, but we ask that guests avoid the grassy area between the house and the cliff, as this area is not accessible and poses a significant danger. The expansive side yards provide plenty of safe outdoor space for your enjoyment instead.

Relax and take in the ever-changing hues of the lake from not one, but two wrap-around screened-in porches, perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. These porches offer an unmatched view that sets the tone for a serene and awe-inspiring vacation experience.

Looking to get on the water? Burnside Safe Harbor Marina, our next-door neighbor, is just a short walk away, offering boat rentals and more to help you explore all corners of Lake Cumberland. If you’re bringing your own boat, we provide ample private parking just 100 feet up the road. For safety reasons, boat parking is across the street, and detailed instructions will be provided upon booking.

For dining, cook up your catch of the day in either of our two fully equipped kitchens, or enjoy grilling on the gas or pellet grill outside. Whether you're a grill master or a kitchen chef, everything you need is right here.

For those who need to mix a little business with pleasure, we’ve got you covered with a fully equipped office space featuring a keyboard, monitor, printer, and mouse, along with fast, reliable Wi-Fi. When it's time to unwind, lounge in the spacious living room with its floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings, and a stunning stone fireplace.

Pet-friendly? Absolutely! Bring along your furry companion (additional fees apply) and let them enjoy the outdoors in our spacious dog run.

# Access & Entry
Guests will receive a unique temporary code for the August smart lock keypad, valid for the duration of your stay. Upon arrival, The access code and detailed instructions will be provided along with a guided tour from our property manager Brandi.

# Restricted Areas

For safety and privacy, the following areas are off-limits:

• The Cliffside: Strictly prohibited for guest safety.
• Sub-garage: Located beneath the carport, used for maintenance equipment.
• Storage Sheds: These two sheds store personal items and are not accessible.
• Playroom Storage Rooms: Marked with “No Guest Access” signs, these rooms are locked.

# Parking

• On-site Parking: Ample parking is available for up to six cars. If you have additional vehicles, use the free public overflow lot down the road towards Burnside Marina (note: this lot does not allow boat trailer parking). Do not park boat trailers in Burnside Marina’s auxiliary lot to avoid towing.

# Boat Trailer Parking

• We provide space for boat trailers in our private parking lot, located 100 feet north towards Highway 27, at a flat rate of $10/day. Please notify us in advance of the number of vehicles you plan to bring, and we’ll accommodate accordingly.
• For safety reasons, boats and large trailers cannot be parked in the driveway or along the roadside.

Brandi Wheet, our local property manager, is available 24/7 for any questions or issues.

Other things to note
AirBnB does NOT collect a required 3.00% Lake Cumberland Somerset Pulaski Convention and Visitor Tourist Bureau transient tax. AirBnb also does not collect an additional City of Burnside 3.00% transient tax. These taxes are due in addition to rental fees, AirBnB fees and cleaning fees.

Guests have access to the lake for swimming and fishing, but the path to the water is steep, uneven and dangerous. Guests should proceed with caution and at their own risk. There is a boathouse, but for liability and licensing reasons (Army Corp of Engineers), it is not available to guests.

The same is true for the back yard. It slopes steeply down to cliffs that overlook the lake. Guests should use the expansive side yards, porches or decks for recreation and dining.

The property is located right next to the Burnside Safe Harbor Marina and is less than two miles from General Burnside Island State Park. Burnside Safe Harbor Marina offers a boat ramp, boat rentals, fuel dock, and Burnside Cafe. General Burnside Island State Park offers fishing, boat ramp, golfing and camping.



Though this is a large house that is great for entertaining, there can be NO PARTIES unless approved in advance by the Property Manager(additional fees may apply). If the number of guests using the property exceeds the reservation, all guests (including the paying guests) will be asked to leave with no refunds.

We HIGHLY recommend you patronize our two favorite places to eat, Rhodes Java Café, and Downtown Pizza while you’re here.

The house is available for reunions, parties and fundraisers but only with prior approval and for additional fees.

Check-In and Check-Out times may be flexible (depending of when the next guests will be arriving). We are happy to accommodate when we can (additional fees may apply).

Pets are accepted on a case by case basis and there is a dog run available. There will be an additional charge per pet per day depending on species/size as well as additional charges for any damage.

No smoking or vaping is allowed.

The house is large and the views are spectacular. Enjoy the home, but please treat it as if it were your own. If there are any issues, please let us know so we can promptly address them. If you cause any damage, let us know so we can ensure the same quality of stay for all of our guests!

Our home features 5 bedroom and 2-1/2 baths. The first floor features a bedroom with adjoining bath and workspace. The second floor offers 4 bedrooms and a full bath.

Guest access
You are welcome to use the living spaces. Do not enter the basement. The garage is not for guest use.

Welcome to your perfect getaway on the stunning Lake Cumberland! This rare lakefront gem offers private dock access for boating, fishing or soaking in the river vibes.

This spacious home sleeps up to 14 guests comfortably, making it ideal for large families. Step outside and be wowed by the expansive outdoor living space—complete with a dining area, BBQ grill, outdoor furniture, TV, and a cozy fire pit under the stars.

The space
The property has 2 private bedrooms on the main floor. Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed and half bath. Bedroom 2 has a queen and a bunk bed (twin).
In the basement, there is a double bed, double with a twin bunk on top, twin bunk and a twin bed. The basement has a full bath, refrigerator and sink.

There are 96 steps to the dock- You can blow up rafts to take down with you. Please deflate these and hang to dry. Please put these away dry before departure.

We have a gas grill for your grilling pleasure.

If you need to store your boat while you are here, we do offer a 40' storage slip 3.5 miles from burnside ramp.
