Welcome to our 3-bedroom 1.5 bath home in Morehead, KY, $225 nightly rate + VRBO fees (25% discount on 7 or more nights)! This brilliant house is in a safe, residential neighborhood just blocks/walking distance from Downtown, Morehead State University Campus, Morehead Conference Center, UK-St. Claire Hospital, Cancer Center and Hospice Services with views of the rolling hills.

Upon arrival, park in our driveway (which can accommodate three vehicles) and is immediately adjacent to the keyless side entry door.

Entering into our vintage kitchen, modern amenities include dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, electric range and refrigerator. As our guest, you can plan to dine in using our dishes, utensils, pots and pans, suitable for just about any occasion.

Our charming home sleeps 6 ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed with half bath. One second floor bedroom has a queen bed, while the other is versatile with a bed that easily converts from a single to two singles or split queen (see photos). This room is comfortable and inviting for both kids and/or adults! While the second floor bathroom looks antique in the photos, it is completely new! This home is very well suited for a young family.

The home is equipped with central air conditioning. Rooms have room darkening, insulated and/or solar window coverings. Two tower fans + 1 pedestal fan are available for use. Four camp chairs and extra curtains for added screen porch privacy are available in the Den closet.

If you and/or your travel companions have limited mobility, please take into consideration prior to booking, each entry point to our antique home is only accessible by stairs, and the full bath is located on the second floor (15 steps).

Parking:
- Gravel parking is at the top of the driveway can easily fits 3 full sized vehicles and more if needed.
- Trailer parking is available (approx. half way up the driveway is a flat open grassy area that can be used to park a boat trailer and tow vehicle). 4 wheel drive should be used when parking in the area. The ground can sometimes be soft in the area. Do not take trailers to the top of the drive unless you are comfortable backing them back down. you will not be able to turn around at the top.
- The gravel driveway takes you up an approx 9 - 10 degree grade. 2 wheel drive vehicle can make it up this drive in normal weather conditions. Keep your momentum going until you are completely to the top.

Things to know:
- This is a wooded area and there is always a chance that any of the wildlife native to Kentucky (animals, reptiles and insects) may pass through the property. We hope you enjoy any experience you may encounter and provided them with the distance and respect they should receive. Please do not feed any animals.

- Please do not leave any food or garbage out and make sure the grill is clean and closed when not in use as these can attract "visitors".

- We actively treat the cabin and property for pests including bees, wasps and hornets. We do our best to keep them away from the cabin, but please be aware they can be in the area. If they do show up it tends to be on the balcony off the smaller bedroom. (There is a sting aid kit in the first floor bathroom medicine cabinet.

NOTE: This cabin, while offering wonderful accommodations, is in a rural area and can occasionally experience strong weather conditions or power outages that are out of our control. We will do everything we can to assist, but are not responsible for issues beyond our control. We do have flash lights and power banks in the cabin to help charge phones and electronics in case of an outage as well as a Yeti cooler for you to use during your stay.

Closer to Grayson even though physical address is Olive Hill. Is 11 miles from Grayson at Grayson Lake State Park on Rt 7 South. Mapquest to and from Grayson instead of Olive Hill to avoid very crooked roads (192 Davis Drive off 986).

- "Lots of room. Interesting decor. Kids loved playing in the creek behind the house. 30 minutes from Carter Caves. Very clean. High winds took out the electric during our stay. Host offered a generator, but with babies, we decided we should leave. We would stay again." - "Very comfortable. Loved all the couches. I spent much of my time in the kitchen cooking for the family. No cookie sheets, one casserole pan, one crockpot, limited pots and pans. Handheld can openers did not work very well. All drinking glasses were stemware style, the kids had difficulty with that. Homeowners were fabulous in every way. We would defiantly stay again and would recommend to family and friends."

The space
Midcentury modern updated A-frame with local creek rock throughout with amazing views and amenities. There are 3 bedrooms in the main area with a lower-level apartment for privacy. Large sectionals, multiple seating, and dining areas allow comfort for larger groups. The Master bedroom has a balcony and ensuite with a large jacuzzi tub. Enjoy the reading nook overlooking treetops.
