The home has a great wrap around deck where you can enjoy sunrise and sunsets, a covered patio with a table and where you can BBQ, a fantastic side yard where the kids can play and a two car garage. You can also take a steep hike down to water's edge where you can take a walk or go fishing. We have avid bird watchers stay here, as you will see wildlife all around.

You will truly enjoy the inside where you will find 20 foot ceilings with floor to ceiling windows so you can enjoy the view from the inside. There are updated appliances, a large bathroom and a wonderful family area for gathering, playing games or just relaxing around the fire.

~The boat will be kept at our docks on the bayside of the street. You can easily walk or drive to the dock. It will start with a full tank of fuel and need to be full when it is returned or we can fill it for you for $25 per quarter of a tank on the guage.~
~It's a 10 passenger boat. Basic, adult, orange, life jackets will be provided. Please bring children's life jackets.~
~No need to reserve in advance unless you want it during a time it's not included.~

You will love this custom built home! We are located less than one mile from US highway 68/80...on a dead end street...making it a very quiet and relaxing location!

As you can see in the pictures, this home features two bedrooms both with private baths. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed.. The upstairs loft will sleep 3 with a full and twin sized bed. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and is stocked with the basic necessitates to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There is a screened in back porch for your bug-free enjoyment.

I live at the end of the street and you are always welcome to stroll down 3 houses and use the entire peninsula lot! This cottage is not allowed a dock on the main channel but you are welcome to use our dock, its just a 3 min walk down to our lot. The 55'' LED Samsung TV has a Roku for your enjoyment. Also, free Wifi for your convenience. On a chilly day, you can snuggle up on the leather couch and enjoy the gas log fireplace. Included in your stay is a 5 person pass to The Fitness Center at Lake Barkley State Park. The Fitness Center features; indoor pool, sauna, steam room, racquetball, free weights, Nautilus machines, outdoor basketball, outdoor tennis, daily aerobic classes, and much much more.

This house will be most comfortable with 5 or less people. 8 guests is our maximum.

No more than 2 pets are allowed. There is a $100 fee for each pet.

Offsite- A 5 person pass to the Lake Barkley State Park fitness center is provided. Pool and hot tub are located at the finest center.

 There is room for 2-3 cars in the driveway. There is plenty of room for over flow parking, just let me know and I’ll show you where it is.

 ALL your linens are provided. I always recommend bringing your pillow for your comfort.

 The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils for your general cooking needs. We recommend bringing your own cooking spices and any type of storage for your food you might need.

 There is a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.

 The neighborhood is located on a dead end street and is usually very quiet.

 Our neighbors’ kids play in the street so please drive with caution.

 The grill is propane and the propane is provided. Bring a lighter as ours tend to walk off.

 The outdoor grill is not cleaned by the cleaning staff, please clean up after yourself. Also, please excuse the last guest for not listening to the first part of this statement.

 The steps on the deck will lead you all the way to the shoreline.

 The water is gently sloping and you can swim from the shore.

 The bottom of the lake is rocky and semi-muddy. I recommend wearing lake shoes.

 Yes, you can fish from the shoreline. KY fish and game laws apply, licenses are easily purchased online.

 You can use any of the docks on the bayside at the end of the street.

 Everyone is welcome to come to the end of the street and use my lot on the point. I do ask that you respect our privacy.

-With being on the lake there is always a chance of bugs, please understand we do everything we can to keep the outside of the house clean but sometimes it just is not possible. June, July, and August have what is called a Mayfly hatch occasionally, they do not bite and are good for fishing.
• We have 6 pontoon boats available for rent. They are shared between all of our rental houses and I do recommend you reserve in advance, our rental website is enjoylakebarkley.com (click on boats). The boats are always docked at our docks. Once I have given you safety instructions you are allowed to use the boat from sunrise to sunset. NO night use. If you are out after dark I will assume you are missing and emergence personnel will be notified. If you are staying during the promotional period you can disregard the rental paragraph.
• No penalty for boat rain outs. If you reserve we do ask that you plan on using the boat or it will be deducted from your deposit. No half day rentals. An additional $300 deposit will be held for the pontoon.

 I always recommend you bring your food with you. Our grocery stores are no comparison to the stores most are used to in the city.

- "Nice family cabin. Patty, the owner, was an awesome host. Cabin was very clean & well stocked with the necessities. Our kids loved bunking upstairs. The balcony was a favorite spot to read, hang out, lounge on the hammock. We visited LBL 1850's Working Settlement, Bison & Elk Prairie. Venture River Waterpark (30 min) Kentucky Shores Family Fun Center (40 min). We did not utilize the boat slip this time but the kids did fish off the dock. (It is a steep trip up from the dock - good workout!) Patty was very accommodating and a pleasure to visit with. We plan to visit again!!"

Close to the lake and boat ramps. Plenty of good hunting, fishing, boating, 4-wheeling, hiking, and outdoorsy stuff around us.

Newly renovated unit. Cozy, family-friendly, and has plenty of room to park your boat, trailer, or toys. 5-10 minutes from boat launches, the lake, biking/walking path, and Lake Barkley State Park (with a great beach). We are not too far from Dollar General, and about 20 minutes to town.

This is one unit of a triplex. We are still renovating one of the other units, so you will probably see us around working to make the property even better for you!

There is a coffee bar with coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. we know how important coffee is! We also have a leave a mug take a mug fun thing to do. You can take a coffee mug as a memory of your stay, but you MUST leave a coffee mug. And only the mugs, nothing else.

It is a work in progress. We are constantly improving the inside and outside of our property to make it better for you.

There is a $5 per night extra cleaning fee for stays over 5 days due to longer stays requiring a much longer and deeper clean. There is very limited cell service and AT&T works the best if you have it. We do have “high speed” Wi-Fi and cable to watch TV.

If you are planning on bringing a boat or trailer please give us a heads up so that we can make sure to have a space designated for you.

We are in the country, and there are the usual country bugs. Bugs are normal in the country, so please do not be alarmed. We are in a rural area. We do have neighbors, but not a ton. There is wifi but, very limited cell service, AT&T works the best. But little cell service means you can truly “unplug” and enjoy nature.

You can also hear the neighbors shooting their guns every so often. I know for those who aren’t used to country life this can be concerning, do not worry, it is normal here. People like to target practice in their back yards.

Again we are in the country, so you will probably see wild critters of all kinds, from deer and bald eagles, to mice and snakes. It is the country and no amount of “pest control” will control Mother Nature.

Newly remodeled Upstairs 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment in a triplex. Private balcony. Family friendly with plenty of trailer parking, so bring your boats, and off road toys. We are about 5-10 minutes from a couple of different boat launches, biking/walking path, and Lake Barkley Sate park (with a very nice beach). We are 5 minutes from the Dollar General, a gas station, & about 20 minutes to town.

This is the upstairs unit of a triplex (#3). Currently only one other unit is being rented out (#1). This unit is upstairs and very private. It has a private balcony to enjoy the outdoors.

Close to Land Between the Lakes, Lake Barkley and boat ramps. Plenty of good hunting, fishing, boating, 4-wheeling, hiking, and outdoorsy stuff around us. There is a nice walking trail behind the house.

My parents have a dog. His name is Tucker. He is the most well mannered and trained dog I have ever met. He is very friendly and LOVES to play fetch with anything people will throw for him. He will probably bring you something to throw while you are here. He roams the property freely, and has never been a problem. People leave comments about how much they enjoyed him.

We like to make it feel homey and decorate for the Holidays (but we don’t go overboard lol)

We do all the cleaning ourselves to make sure it is done right and up to our standards. We also wash all the towels and linens in free and clear soaps, and free and clear oxiclean.

Guests have access to the whole property. There is a shared fire pit in the backyard, each unit has a front patio area, there is a small stream on 2 sides and a walking trail behind the property.

The owners (my parents) live on the property most of the time, and are there if you need them, but will give you your privacy. You can also reach me if you need anything. If you can’t get a hold of me you can always knock on their door and they will be glad to help. They live in the 5th wheel off to the side. This is one unit of a triplex. The camper was very clean and in like new condition. The kitchen seemed to be stocked with everything to prepare a meal. However we chose to eat at the restaurant on site. We did use the nice charcoal grill that is provided and it's big enough to cook for a family. Sitting outside under the awning you have a nice view of the marina and the lake with plenty of seating available. The campground itself is very small and the people staying there were very friendly. Bring your boat and rent a covered boat slip from Moonriver. It's very affordable. If you forget something at home there are stores just a few minutes away. Other than that once you get there you have no reason to even need a vehicle until it's time to go home."

- "This is a very nice property. It was clean and well maintained inside. Our son really liked that the basement was a separate outside entrance as he felt like he had his own place. It is located just outside the Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area, which is why we stayed there. The owners are very nice and easy to communicate with. They live just down the road so if you need anything they're pretty quick to respond. The only issue is that the WiFi is not very good. That's not the owners fault, just a function of the location. They use an AT&T hotspot (as there isn't wired internet available) which doesn't get a good signal. Our personal phones are T-Mobile and we didn't have any signal at all. My work phone is Verizon and it had the best signal, but even it wasn't great. So just be aware of you need Internet while there (for work, school, just to look up things to do) it's going to be difficult."

You are renting a single bedroom in a home that is occupied by myself and my fur babies. You will have access to a cabinet to store food products in the kitchen if needed, a dresser and a closet in the bedroom as well as a laundry basket for soiled linen and a trash can. For the guest traveling with cats, I have a litter box if needed, however I ask that you bring the litter of your Cats liking.

First: NO WILD PARTIES OR DRUGS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY!
Second, no smoking or vaping inside the house. You may go outside and do that in the designated smoking area, but please respect myself, the cats and the other guests by not smoking or vaping. A $100 cleaning fee will be assessed for each violation.
Third, if you are looking to stay here, know that I am not always glued to my phone and cannot help you if you book out of desperation and cancel before I have a chance to accept. I usually respond to most requests within an hour and if the room is available I rarely turn down requests. That also means you don't need to ask me if I can accommodate you late at night on short notice, since I am a night owl who usually stays up until 2am most weeknights. Most weekends would require at least a 24 hour advance notice due to work commitments, so I can leave keys in the lock box for you.
Fourth, if you want to use anything here (DVD's, books, games, towels, etc.) feel free. That does not mean you can take these items with you when you leave. As far as drinks in the mini-fridge, or pasta and rice in the cupboards, please consume them reasonably, and consider future guests by replenishing any emptied containers. I reserve the right to charge for any missing or empty items after check out.
Fifth, if you need or want any additional accommodations (plug n'play crib, high chair for children, table place settings, use of outdoor grill) please inform me ahead of time so I can have them ready for your arrival.

When I'm here I am always willing to interact with and/or accommodate you during your stay, and offer limited suggestions on what to do here. If I'm not home, I can be reached any time through the Airbnb message system. If I'm away working a sporting tournament somewhere out of town, I may not see your message for a few hours. Otherwise I try to respond to all requests within an hour of your request.

First: NO WILD PARTIES OR DRUGS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY!
Second, no smoking or vaping inside the house. You may go outside and do that in the designated smoking area, but please respect myself, the cats and the other guests by not smoking or vaping inside. A $100 cleaning fee will be assessed for each violation.
Third, if you are looking to stay here, know that I am not always glued to my phone and cannot help you if you book out of desperation and cancel before I have a chance to accept. I usually respond to most requests within an hour and if the room is available I rarely turn down requests. That also means you don't need to ask me if I can accommodate you late at night on short notice, since I am a night owl who usually stays up until 3am most weeknights. Weekends may require at least a 24 hour advance notice due to work commitments, so I can leave keys in the lock box for you.
Fourth, if you want to use anything here (DVD's, books, games, towels, etc.) feel free. That does not mean you can take these items with you when you leave. As far as drinks in the mini-fridge, or pasta and rice in the cupboards, please consume them reasonably, and consider future guests by replenishing any emptied containers. I reserve the right to charge for any missing or empty items after check out.
Fifth, if you need or want any additional accommodations (plug n'play crib, high chair for children, table place settings, use of outdoor grill) please inform me ahead of time so I can have them ready for your arrival.

▶ Hunters:
Hunters are very welcome to stay with us! There are multiple public areas near the property that allow various types of hunting. You are required to acquire a necessary state mandated hunting license and permits.

▶ Anglers:
Our property is located just a few miles from the lake. Should you need assistance in boat rental or boat launch please feel free to let us know. Additionally, the owner of the property can give you some tips on the best Crappie and Bass dens on the lake if you'd like him to stop by.

▶ Offsite Lake/Dock Access:
Our Cabin is not on Lake Barkley however our Cabin includes remote access to a private, deep water, covered dock on Lake Barkley. Just a short drive, to Hopson Bay (5 mile drive from cabin). There is a covered slip and boat lift on the dock that owner's boat will be on most of the season but may be available for your boat if you work with cabin owner.

Dockside mooring will always be available, year-round. Great place for swimming, fishing, or just hanging out with family or friends! There are no washroom facilities at the dock. Bring all your own daily needs, including your own life jackets, fishing equipment, swimming favorites, and food and drinks. Pack it in pack it out! Dock hours will be limited to sunrise to sunset, but boats or gear may be left at dock overnight.

The property is just minutes from the famous Turkey Bay Off-Road Vehicle Park. This is one of the largest off-road recreation areas in the country at more than 100 miles of primary and secondary trail types for all sorts of vehicles. If you want mud...they have mud.
