- "Great" - "very helpful walkthrough of property upon arrival. house was beautiful clean with a lovely view, just 10-15 drive from gas and supermarket. very close to beaches and restaurants, 30-40min from vineyards, had a really good time" - "We had such an unbelievable time at Lana's beachfront home. This place is to die for - perfectly situated on the beach, with ample rooms and sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is spacious with lots of cabinet space. There is also a pretty ceremony space outdoors with an accompanying fire-pit, and lots of different seating spaces! Every room has a smart TV, and most have balconies and access to the outdoor views. A few of the rooms were missing curtains which made it a little tricky as the sun rose in the morning, but everything else was so ideal that we basically forgot about the small details! The host was harder to get ahold of at first, but was ultimately quite communicative, helpful, and sweet, and even brought over extra cleaning supplies when we ran out. The best part of this property was the bay at the bottom of the porch stairs, where we were greeted by beautiful swans and the most relaxing ocean air. Needless to say, we will be back! Spacious house with large wrap around decks, Master bedroom has king bed and one extra king mattress, 1 bedroom with queen bed and 1 bedroom with a queen bed and full bed, an extra queen size futon mattress , 2 full baths and one half bath and large living room with pullout couch and wrap around deck with BBQ. There is NON operational fireplace(it is a cosmetic feature) as mentioned in the photographs. Surrounded by beautiful Fire Island National Seashore Reserve. Great views of the ocean. Close to Fire Island beach (6 miles). Great area for fishing, swimming and crabbing. House is 2 blocks from beautiful pier and osprey park. See photos. West Hampton beach is a 30 min drive and the house is about 1.5 hours drive/train to Montauk. Great ice cream store called the Ice Cream Cottage nearby. Also nice petting zoo and wildlife refuge about 6 miles away.

Manhattan is about an hour and 20 minutes drive or 1 hour 40 mins on the train from Mastic Shirley Stn. 40 mins to Tanger Outlet . Long islands vineyards are a 30 min drive. Very good golf courses close by.

We have a small outdoor propane firepit seen in the photos , bear in mind you will need to refill the tank yourself if empty, we will reimburse with receipt. Please check out the seasonal events in our section on things to do including the drive through christmas lights show at smith point beach.

Smith Point, the County's Largest Ocean front Park, offers: Swimming, surfing, saltwater fishing, camping, outer beach access, food concession, playground, showers, & special events in season.

Fire Island Wilderness Visitor Center: 5 min drive
At Smith Point County Park (same location as beach). This gateway to the only Federally designated wilderness in New York state has a ranger contact station, second floor viewing area and exhibit space, ranger-led interpretive programs, and a self-guided nature trail. Rangers issue permits for for recreational driving and waterfowl hunting in season.

William Floyd Estate: 5 min drive
Plantation of Revolutionary War General and Declaration of Independence signer. The estate includes 12 outbuildings and a cemetery. From Memorial weekend thru the last weekend in Oct.

Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge: 10 min drive
Refuge is home to many species of wildlife, including songbirds, birds of prey, deer, foxes

This is a great area for fishing, crabbing and clamming. Drop into Dick's Bait & Tackle shop on Neighbourhood Road, its about a mile from the house, the guys there will be able to get you up to speed on the area and possibly permits needed.

**For Pool Heater Usage: 40 gallons (half tank) is complimentary. Usage of more than half a tank will be at an additional charge of $350 per 90 gallon tank

**Parking is for maximum of 8 cars. There is no street parking allowed.

Check in and check out was super easy … the host even graciously allowed us to have early check in and late check out since we had handicapped elderly guests in our party. Neighborhood was peaceful and safe … one of the neighbors even found my Yorkie who wandered off to check out the Marina! Every single member of our family loved the house and property. There is a separate screened gazebo seating area between the house and pool and a separate roofed and walled structure (seating area/TV) near the ping/pong table, corn-hole game setup (along with other outdoor games), there are two other seating areas (umbrella covered table/chairs) within the yard as well as another umbrella covered outdoor table/chairs near the BBQ area. There is also a badminton setup. We saw deer and fireflies. The library has a number of games for indoor activities. There is literally a number of things to do, enjoy as a family at this location. - "Everything about the house was fabulous and the ouside was amazing. We came to visit the beach, but spent most of our time at house. The host provided a tons of towels, sports equipment, and wood for the fire pit. The is a grocery store close by and it was convenient to pick up food. We took full advantage of the common areas and oudoor nooks when we wanted quiet time. There were a few small issues, but I believe they haven't been renting the house out for very long. The owners responded quickly. I am sure anyone who rents here won't be dissappointed."

Summer Escape. down the street is the bay with a marina, restaurant and boat ramp. 1 min to eastport town, 5 min to main street westhampton, 15 min to hamptons beaches. Best of both worlds, close to the beaches and town and tucked away to a more private summer compound experience. The pool is one of a kind, perfect for laying out in the shallow , section with a drink and some music or reading under the shade. get youre workouts done in the morning either in the garage gym or bike around the neighborhood. sunset walk to the bay and beat the heat by taking a drive down to one of the nearby beaches. - "We had the most wonderful stay at this pristine waterfront home. My husband and two children woke up to rosy sunrises and watched egrets and gulls catch their breakfast from the kitchen table. The kids built sandcastles, hunted for shells and played with friends in the shallow bay mere steps from the backyard. The house is located just a few minutes from a café, ice cream shop, delicious bakery and a seafood restaurant, not to mention several other local attractions and activities on and off the water. The second floor was equipped with beautiful water views and comfortable beds and bean bags that my kids loved lounging in. They are already asking when we can back. It was a joy to be on the water and air with a book and a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We made s’mores around the fire pit and watched a family of swans swim by every evening. Tami is an excellent communicator and added special touches like a welcome treat from a famous local cookie shop. The house had everything we could need - from linens to kid’s cups.
