Welcome to this private one-floor house in a quiet residential area. Approximately 1,000 square feet (92 m2) of space. There are 3 separate bedrooms and 1 full bathroom plus a living/dining room and spacious kitchen. Convenient and quiet area close to major highways. NYC train station 15-minute walk from the house (0.7miles / 1.1 km). Good for families, tourists, traveling workers, interns, etc. No parties, events, or smoking anywhere on the property -- this is strictly enforced.

This is a private single-family house located in a residential neighborhood where families typically live. The house is one floor and a decent size — about 1,000 square feet (92 m2) of living space. Two bedrooms have queen beds in them. The third bedroom has a twin bed in it. Each bedroom has a 32 inch Fire TV in it. The living room has a sofa, a 32 inch Fire TV, a work desk and chair. There is a dining area with a small dining table, and 4 chairs. The kitchen includes a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and basic cooking utensils (nothing elaborate). The full bathroom is to the rear of the kitchen area.

You will have access to the first floor of the home, including the front porch. You will not have access to the basement, which is used by the owner for the owner’s storage. You may access the rear yard if you want via the rear door of the house, but please keep in mind that the rear yard comes as-is, there is no outdoor furniture and there is no grassy area there.

Perth Amboy Station is a 15-minute walk from the house (0.7 miles / 1.1 km). From this station, you can take a direct train to New York City. The train ride takes about 50-60 minutes. This train also goes to Newark Airport (EWR). That ride takes about 30 minutes. You can also reach points along the Jersey Shore using this train line. Check the NJ Transit website and look for the schedule for the North Jersey Coast Line for more information on trains, tickets, etc.

Parking is not included. You will need to find a spot on the nearby streets. You will be responsible for your vehicle and any parking violations you may receive.

Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival. We will not send the code before the day of your arrival.

The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. No one will be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night after 11:00 pm and no refunds will be given for any issues checking in after 11 pm. There is no luggage storage at the house.

There is no driveway or off-street parking. You will need to find parking on the street. It is free to park on the street and not too difficult to find a spot. You do not need any permits to park on the street, but you need to check the street cleaning signs. The town cleans the streets once per week and you can’t park on those streets during the street cleaning hours. We cannot be responsible if you receive a parking ticket.

Please also note that this is an older house. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the house and the age of the neighborhood. The house looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it functional and clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced private house relatively close to New York City and Newark Airport EWR, this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.

I also just want to make clear that you are renting a private house and not a hotel room. There are many differences between house rentals and hotels, and some newer guests may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. On the other hand, we are a small operation and manage our listings to the best of our ability. We try hard to create a good experience for guests. We are including this disclaimer here because we have recently seen a rise in guests that seem to view our listing as very similar to a hotel, but in reality it is quite different. Thank you in advance for understanding this.

Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will receive the email and/or text about 30 minutes after you confirm your booking. Please complete the verification prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will be given the choice between a refundable damage deposit (administrative fee for this option is $10) or a non-refundable damage waiver (the cost is $35). This process is required. It is not optional. You will not be given access to the listing unless your status is `approved` from Superhog. You will need a valid credit card in order to complete this process. We are fully disclosing this here so that a guest cannot claim after booking that this was not disclosed. We will not give refunds for reservations if you choose not to comply or you are not approved.

Note: If you pay us directly with a credit or debit card, we will ask you to send a photo of the front and back of the card, and we will ask you to sign a credit card authorization form. The name on the reservation must match the name on the credit card and the name on the ID.

- "UNABLE TO STAY HERE DUE TERRIBLE CONDITIONS. THIS PROPERTY SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN BY LOCAL HOUSING AUTHORITY." - "This house needs major renovation and deep cleaning. First thing you’ll notice when you step inside is that it wreaks of urine, and there are clear visible stains of what appears to be urine on several of the walls and doors. It gives you this feeling of just being dirty all throughout the house. There are markings on some of the walls in the bedrooms too that give you the impression it was a former trap house. There’s also a hole in the bathroom floor that has a stone tile in its place, that doesn’t fit properly and creates a trip hazard, as well as prevents the bathroom door from opening and closing properly. Incredibly lazy and cheap way to patch up an issue with the flooring. Lastly, the heating was an issue. There’s a lock box around the heater in the kitchen, so when we came in we didn’t mess with it even though it was very cold, around 20 degrees at night. We put up with it for a couple nights until it was just too much to bear. I reached out to the host, Andy, and rather than explaining how to use the heater, he immediately jumped to sending a technician to look at the heating issue. NJ was incredibly cold during our stay and this host had a lock box around the heater, and wouldn’t just simply explain how to use it. The heat was set to 70 degrees! The night before we were able to adjust the heating, it was so cold in the house we could literally see our own breath! This house is simply not fit for anyone to comfortably stay, do not waste your time and money!"

Welcome to our beautiful pool house, located in a small, quiet beach community. Conveniently located just 6 blocks from family-friendly Union Beach, on the Raritan Bay between Keyport and Sandy Hook. Leisurely walk to the beach.

The house is a short drive to other popular destinations including Historic Keyport (5 min drive), Keansburg Beach and Amusement Park/Water Park (10 min drive), Sandy Hook beach and recreation areas (20 min drive), and Six Flags (45 min drive). The location provides easy access to other Jersey Shore beach destinations for convenient day trips. There is also a great park less than a block from the house (just on the corner!), Scholer Park, with a playground, pickle and basketball courts, and more. Take a stroll/bike ride on the nearby Henry Hudson Trail.

The property has a private, heated salt-water pool (complete with hot tub and waterfall) open May through early September. (We may be able to accommodate beyond these dates by request.)

Inside, the house features an open-concept, fully-stocked kitchen and living area with sliding doors that open out onto the deck and outdoor dining area. Steps from the deck lead down to the pool with additional dining and lounge areas.

There is also a convenient half bath and large laundry room on this floor. The remote-controlled gas fireplace in the living room provides coziness and warmth throughout the seasons.

- "Enjoyed our stay here. Faculties were new. Everything you needed came with the apartment. Good local restaurants." - "Condominium was very nicely appointed clean and new but there are problems with the structure of the complex. The neighbors to the right are extremely abusive with noise and the walls are very thin and easy to hear through. The mentioned neighbors are permanent residents. They blast their stereo and television late at night and extremely early in the morning and the noise is very disrupting. Also the television that was in the condo was unable to be used and missing parts and was non-functioning. During my stay I was out one evening with my adult age daughter and she cut her hand badly and needed to go to the emergency room. She had her small dog with her. I placed the dog in its crate and put it in the bathroom so we did not have to take the dog to the emergency room. The dog was in the unit for only a few hours. The dog must have barked and ironically the people who are abusive with noise must have reported it. The owner accused me of having a dog in the unit which was not in contract and threatened to end my lease and take all of the money I had paid. I explained what happened almost immediately but the owner filed a case against me the minute he was called without contacting me back or listening to my messages. The dog never set foot in the unit but was inside a carrier only for the time period of the emergency. It should be noted that dogs are allowed in the complex and can be heard barking all over in the hallways. Overall my stay was very unrestful due to the noise and I did not appreciate the reporting and the threat of having my contract ended over an emergency even though it wasn’t carried out."

The house is not large, but it is private and set back from the street. This is a unique spot since it is a private house and there is no one living above or below like in an apartment building. You will have exclusive access to the house during your stay.

The house has one bedroom with a queen bed, and a work desk and chair. The living room has a small 2-seater sofa and a Fire TV. The kitchen is fully functional with ample cabinet space and a round dining table with two chairs. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and sink. The house has basic amenities good for tourists, remote workers, business travelers, students, etc. We keep things simple and offer a competitive price. Conveniently walkable location near convenience stores, restaurants, bars, churches, etc. To travel to New York City via public transit (combination of bus and train), the journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Newark Airport (EWR) is about 40 minutes away using public transit. Near major highways like Garden State Parkway, Interstate 287, 440, NJ Turnpike. Staten Island is only 10 minutes away by car.

This listing does not include parking. The house does not have a driveway or any parking. Parking can be found on the streets and you do not need a permit to park. But, you must follow the directions on the street signs and find a legal place to park. You may not find a spot directly in front of the house and you may need to drive around the neighborhood to find a spot. We cannot be responsible for any parking tickets or violations you may receive.

Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the property. You will receive the code to the lockbox in advance of your arrival but it will only become active at 4:00 pm on the day of check-in.

The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).

If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.

Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!

If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.

If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.
