Nestled in a quiet Colusa neighborhood, this delightful house offers 3 bedrooms downstairs, a master with a king and 2 bedrooms, each with 2 doubles. Each bedroom has a mounted TV with cable service. The bedroom upstairs is connected to a children’s play area and has a queen bed. The children’s space has a dress up area, play kitchen, coloring books, chalk board, DVD player and plenty of toys to encourage lots of play! The space upstairs has a split heat/air unit, so it is always comfortable.

The home includes a well stocked kitchen, with all the amenities, including spices, to allow for home preparation of gourmet delights. A variety of coffees, teas, creamers and sweeteners are provided. There is alway a welcome fruit bowl. There is a downstairs dining room, gas fireplace, sitting area and bar (with a variety of cocktail and wine glasses, as well as a bar fridge) a tv, also with cable service and a game table. There is a comfortable nook by the bar area for guests that would like to relax enjoy a good book.

There is plenty of street parking and parking behind the house. The back area is fenced and there is a small access door as well as a larger door that would allow for the parking of a vehicle or trailer. The fenced area includes a gas grill, sitting area and fire table.

The house is a very popular destination for bird watchers. Many of the local refuges are just a short drive from the house. Colusa is in the Pacific flyway with the peak migration occurring in December. The Colusa refuge is open year round, always a showplace for nature.

There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. Lots of activities for kids and adult activities. There is an activity binder for guests on the entry table to help you explore all that Colusa has to offer.

- "One of the main reason I use VRBO is to cook but the kitchen is missing simple things like plastic wrap, Aluminum Foil, storage containers and spices/seasonings. The kitchen does need to be better equipped with those items. Plates pans and flatware or good." - "The apartment was fine for our two night stay. We were only there at night to sleep and shower. The apartment was very clean but had an intense smell of Pinesol or some type of cleaning supply that was very strong throughout our stay. We tried to air out the apartment, but temps were quite chilly. The bedroom could use better lighting as it’s quite dark. Other sections of the apartment are cute and quaint . The housecleaner that lives next door is very nice."

The area has choppy phone reception depending on your carrier. Nonetheless, it is a nature getaway! But you shouldn't fear, WIFI is near! :)

A Little Note:
There is a caretaker who lives on the property. You’ll have plenty of privacy and will probably never see him.

The barn is a private area and is off-limits to guests.

The property is a peaceful 72-acre farm, and you may catch a glimpse of some friendly cows or goats grazing in the pastures nearby. Don’t worry, they’re all safely fenced in and kept separate from the house, but it’s always fun to see a little farm life while you're relaxing.
