Enjoy spectacular views of the Mill Pond and Penman Peak from our Graeagle Meadows townhome, right on Graeagle Creek, a year-round stream. There is something for everyone here – fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, golf (5 gorgeous 18 hole courses and two 9 hole courses), cycling, mountain biking, swimming, gold panning, wine tasting, a brewery, and ranger talks/camp fires at nearby Plumas Eureka state park. Then again, you can just sit on the deck and relax to the peaceful sound of the creek, watching the osprey and occasional eagle catch their dinner in the pond.

We have decorated our home in a “contemporary rustic” style. The master is upstairs and features a Cal King bed and a gorgeous view of Penman Peak and the Mill Pond. The downstairs bedroom features a queen bed and “live edge” cedar and beetle-kill pine furniture custom made by an artisan in Seattle. There is also a half bedroom upstairs we call the “bear’s den”, which has a twin bed with a pull-out trundle underneath. Legally it is a bedroom, but it has no windows and is very small. We recommend this room for children only.

The living room, dining area and deck all face the Mill Pond and Penman Peak. There simply is no better spot to watch the fireworks over the pond!! The deck has comfortable outdoor furniture and a dining table that seats four so you can enjoy al fresco dining on the pond. A gas barbeque sits around the corner of the deck out of view.

The living room has a modern, leather reclining sofa, large hi-def flat screen LED TV, blue ray player, and a desk. The dining room has a custom live edge willow table and seats six comfortably. There is a small but fully equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms and the living room have iPod players.

There are numerous restaurants in the area to satisfy foodies and fans of “down home cooking” alike. Walk to town, which features various community festivals, wine tasting, quaint shops, a grocery store, candy stores, frosties, etc. At the Mill Pond you can rent paddle boats, paddle boards, and kayaks for playing in the pond.

We are offering select guests a chance to stay at this comfortable and well appointed house. This house also serves as our personal vacation home, and as such it is in much better condition and is better equipped than many other rental homes in the area. For now, we have chosen to rent it when we are not able to use it ourselves. The home includes a relaxing great room with wet bar, large dining area and recently remodeled kitchen with new appliances. In early 2024 we totally renovated and updated both bathrooms and upgraded all interior doors. Fiber optic Internet and WiFi included. Tesla adapter provided to allow charging on 30 amp dryer circuit. Our guests rave about relaxing on our large back deck featuring a large private tree-filled fenced back yard. It is the perfect place to enjoy the hammock or let dogs romp freely and securely.

About half of our guests are repeat visitors from prior years. This is a great place to enjoy all that Graeagle and the surrounding area has to offer including several quality golf courses, hiking, fishing, boating and a surprising selection of wonderful restaurants.

Please note that we offer the most liberal cancellation policy allowed by the HomeAway platform. We do this because we know from our own travel experiences that unforeseen circumstances can affect even well made plans. However, those abusing this privilege by cancelling close to the rental date without good reason will not be allowed to rebook our home in the future.

This delightful cabin was built in the 1920’s and has a peaceful nostalgic ambiance; with its knotty pine paneling, it is truly a taste of a bygone era! We have named this cabin "Little Feather," and is one of a cluster of five cabins that were part of the Penman Peak Lumber Company established in 1925, which was a small working lumber mill until the mid 1940’s.

The cabins are part of University of Earth and the Lost Sierra Retreat Center. All the cabins are within walking distance of the National Wild and Scenic Middle Fork of the Feather River, which winds through our 40 acres. Stellar views of the Feather River, along with Sierra sunsets and moonlit nights, can be seen from the private back deck and riverside bedroom, along with many wonderful places to view the mountain peaks, Feather River and the local wildlife.

Located along scenic Highway 70, the Retreat Center and land is surrounded by U.S. Forest Service land and to add a nostalgic reminder of our industrial age in transition, and to the delight of many of our guests, the Western Pacific railway snakes along the river the length of the property.

Wander our many trails which offer both seclusion and stunning views. Swim in the healing waters of the "Medicine River." Our enchanting riverside sitting areas and hammocks make our retreat center just what the doctor ordered.

Our Nature Sabbaticals offer a unique opportunity in a truly magical setting for our guests to unplug and let nature become the healer and teacher. If you can, our suggested stay is three nights or longer in order to truly allow nature to have its way with you. For those so inclined, each of the cabins have suggested nature immersion activities and ecotherapy practices scientifically validated to promote healing, wholeness and enhanced creativity. Examples are walking barefoot on the delightful riverside sands and enjoying the health benefits of grounding while forest bathing.

Guests have access to most of the 40 acres, river sites and common areas. The river sites have Adirondack chairs and hammocks, and one site has a firepit (used as season/fire restrictions allow). The river may be accessed by an intermediate trail from the cabin area, or unpaved road (seasonally).

There can be an occasional train; there is no set schedule. Most guests enjoy it!

We have a "No Shoe" rule at the cabins. So, rock your sox - or slippers!!

This is a cozy, fully-furnished cabin that offers stunning views of the pine forest, and sits on the 9th fairway at Grizzly Ranch Golf Club. This cabin has a luxurious interior living space with an open concept - prepare a meal in the kitchen while connecting with guests in the great room. *For the colder months (typically November-March), we ask that you check the local weather for possible road closures and forecasted snow. The HOA provides snow removal services for the Graeagle Meadows community which should allow for a 4WD vehicle to enter without too much issue, though we cannot guarantee how quickly the snow removal occurs after each snow.

*PARKING: We have one covered and one uncovered parking space available.

*SECURITY: We have noise monitors and a ring doorbell at the front door capable of recording video and audio - these devices are only used for security purposes for the safety of our guests and neighbors.

The recently remodeled Gold Rush inspired Jamison House is a great place for two couples or a family of four to getaway in luxury surrounded by trees and small farm animals (goats, chickens, pigs.) Leslie happily gives farm tours and invites visitors to harvest from what is available in the H.O.E. (Heaven on Earth) garden. She planted 40 apple trees in 2021 and grows strawberries and herbs prolifically - it is from these fruits and medicinals that she stocks a wide variety of value-added products in the Farm Stand located a few hundred feet from the Jamison House.

Jamison House is an animal lovers paradise and 100% dog-friendly. When guests opt to bring their favorite 4-legged friends, they will be surprised by all the luxurious canine offerings! Orthopedic dog beds, water/food bowls, extra food and gourmet treats, plus loads of toys are sure to keep dog friends wagging their tales. There is also a 10x10 outdoor kennel attached to the vacation home in the back yard in case visitors would like to explore the area, sans pups.

Welcome to Blairsden's oldest home, located on the corner of Bonta street and Second street right in downtown Blairsden. This home was originally built in 1912, the north half, and in 1936, it got a addition of the south half and the upstairs, the reason why the house has two front doors, Originally one door for each part of the house! The entire house was renovated starting in 2020 and completed in 2023, so it is brand new and ready to go for the next 111 years! Blairsden was originally a railroad town, where people would get off the train to visit the Feather River Inn and the Lakes Basin Mohawk Valley area. In todays world, its still the same location, location, location! Right across the street is The Grizzly Grill know for its long standing presence of fine dining. Also, within walking distance to the Corner Barn, which regularly has weddings and other events. Blairsden is 1 1/2 miles to Graeagle, 3 1/2 miles from Plumas Pines, 14 miles to Lakes Basin, 5 1/2 miles to Johnsville and the State Park. So if you are looking for convenience your not going to find a better location than The Bonta House.

There are two full time tenants that live above our detached garage. There is no shared space with them and they keep to them selves.

The only small complaint I have is there isn’t any patio furniture, BUT I visited in June and the pine tree pollen and mosquitos were bad enough I wouldn’t have been able to hang out on the patio much anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal. I think I would have been disappointed if it was later in summer. Otherwise it was a perfect week and I would gladly return to this same home in the future!"

New Fridge with extra icemaker for your highball drinks, plus a brand new electric stove and dishwasher just installed! You'll have access to the whole home and the garage. We are not onsite and live about two hours away. However we are available by text for the fastest response during your stay, and of course to call or Facetime to help with using any of the home features. I do have friends that live in the area should something become an issue and we need to send someone over on a more urgent notice. Incredibly quiet neighborhood located in the heart of Graeagle. Easily walk to all restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The Tennis and Pickle Ball quarts are a block away from the house. Close to all the great golf courses in the area, and literally a couple blocks from the Graeagle Golf Course. We have 4 kids and they ride their bikes all day long around the neighborhood. Plenty of parking in front of the home as well as in front of the garage and in the garage. You will receive a code to access to the house as well as the garage the day of check in.

A small, cozy cabin, recently renovated. Easy access from the highway but a short walk into the wilderness. Hike to the top of the mountain to enjoy views or stay cozied up inside and watch TV(bring your Amazon fire stick, or your own Netflix, YouTube accounts sign on information). There are other apps preloaded on the smart TV. Verizon service is full bars. AT&T and T-mobile not working there. You will have to take screenshots of checkin directions in advance and set up Wi-Fi calling when you get there.

The property in conveniently located just off of highway 70 near picturesque Graeagle, California. It is a short drive to multiple golf courses, mountain biking areas, Lake Davis and Quincy California. There are also numerous dining options in Portola and Graeagle . The historic Western Pacific Railroad Museum is a tourist draw in Portola. which is located on the Middle Fork of the American River. There are six golf courses nearby, hundreds of hiking trails and cross country skiing. There is a miniature golf course and a horse back riding stable located in Graeagle, too!

- "We were celebrating our brothers 60th birthday and he chose Graeagle as his place to visit. The condo was nice, a little dated, but very comfortable and clean. Our only issue was the lack of air conditioning as it was VERY HOT during our 5 day visit. The house had many fans, but we found it difficult to sleep or spend much time inside. There were 3 funky little "air conditioners" that involved little frozen pieces to put into a box with a fan....like I said they were very funky and only helped if you held it right in front of your face ! I think the investment of a REAL A/C unit would go a long way (or only go in the winter months). Overall, it was well stocked, clean and the beds were very comfortable."
