Welcome to Our beautiful year-round lakehouse with all of the modern amenities. After a two year hiatus, we are once again opening our beloved home to guests in 2024. Its always been our summer escape for the past 40+ years, so our huge family know what an ideal opportunity this get away is.

As vacation rental hosts we hope each guests experience is unforgettable. Once you stay at our home you will be sure to come back year after year as a family tradition.

Our large kitchen is stocked with everything you need for making meals, plus a 3 seat breakfast bar. Dining room table seats 10 people. Large family room with stone fireplace. Shelves stack Loads of games & puzzles to play in the evening or on rainy days.

The best place in the house is our sunroom with a window wall offering a full view of the lake. Cell phone service throughout the house.

YES, we offer Wifi. (We know work calls even while vacationing. ) DVD players in loft & living room for movies/gaming hook up. No cable. Who needs cable when We know the Charcoal corral drive - in experience is a must. (but we also hook up a sheet outside & project movies under the stars with our cell phone & apple projector.)

2 bathooms, with one indoor shower, and one outdoor for after swimming. Both have tankless endless hot water. We also have first floor laundry - washer/dryer. We provide beach, bath, hand, and kitchen towels, and hair dryers.

Outdoor features:
Wake up & step outside with coffee or tea, sit on our tree swing and soak in the serenity. Chipmunks and hummingbirds whimsily buzz around by the old world stone dining patio. Fire pit w/firewood & 6 outdoor folding chairs, picnic table.

On the waterfront: soak up the sun on our huge deck on the water. Its like an outdoor living room fully furnished with sofas & chairs, coffee table, large shade umbrella, 4 lounge chairs, An extended boat dock with swimming ladder & plenty of dock space to fish off of.
We also provide 2 Kayaks - both ends of the lake are nature reserves where Eagles sightings are almost always seen while kayaking or boating. Blue herons land on the docks in the evening, so thats a new phenomina to be so close to them.

Car park: 3 in driveway, and more on road.
Parties: Please no gatherings, due to close proximity to our neighbors.

Silver Lake is nestled in the rolling hills of Wyoming county New York. The lake is 4 miles long, a mile wide, and known for good fishing...Winter time too! I've counted over 100 ice fishing tents in one day.

Shake on the Lake is a fun professional Silver Lake/Perry New York based theater company who "in the spirit of Shakespeare" devises original fast fun physical shows including a summer tour , and winter production. Try to catch a show, they are really fun.

- "The home was warm and inviting. The decore was beautiful and charming. Much of the time was spent on the enclosed porch and on the deck near the water. Would love an opportunity to rent again." - "Great location. Well equipped including dock with chaise loungers and umbrellas, kayaks, tree swing, seating, fire pit, updated kitchen, washer and dryer. Would definitely recommend and rent again." - "This was a terrific place to stay and SO great to host a variety of guests. We had 7 adults and 5 kids (ranging from age 2-7) overnight. The kitchen is very well stocked. We'd taken cooking utensils and a few cookie sheets, but they were unnecessary as we had lots to choose from. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Upstairs is loaded for a great slumber party opportunity with 4 small beds for little kids as well as 3 twin sized beds. There were plenty of life jackets and water shoes (needed for the rocks in the water). The two kayaks were in good condition. The dock had plenty of seating space and opportunity for fishing or swimming. Although lots of rocks and seaweed along the shore, the water itself was very clear. Linda was a very swift communicator by messaging through Vrbo and e-mail as well as text messaging. The only downside, we'd say, is that there were quite a few dust bunnies around and dust on the surfaces/window blinds. Otherwise, the most important things (linens, kitchen, and baths) were all very clean and everything was very tidy when we arrived. Lots of board games and puzzles. No need to bring any. Charcoal Corral is a great place to go to eat and/or have some entertainment and the Silver Lake property easement down along the lake allows for great walking and viewing of all the lake houses. All in all, we'll definitely be back!"

But we were happy to get the chance to see the eclipse from the owner of the cabins, maple farm! They showed us around, taught us about Maple, and let us hang around fr the event! Great and friendly people! The only problem my family had with the cabin was the sulfur smell from the water. But it's a cabin and it has working water and heat so it was everything we needed! Plenty of room for my whole family to sit around the living room and play a few games and make a few puzzles before bed! We really enjoyed walking into the cabin having a few little sweet treats left out for us!"

- "I didn't think the pictures showed how nice the property is! Everything was clean and well thought out. The beds were comfortable - 3 bedrooms plus a trundle bed in the living room area. The hosts thought of everything. Communication with the host was quick and clear, and we felt welcomed into their home. We were originally going to experience the eclipse at Letchworth State Park but decided being in the kayaks on Silver Lake would be an amazing experience and it was! The host even had an eclipse-themed welcome basket! The thoughtfulness was much appreciated!"

- "We loved the house, it was perfect for us. It was near Letchworth State Park, which is beautiful. House, including beds, was clean and very comfortable. Had dinner at golf course next door and enjoyed time sitting in patio lakeside at house. Kitchen was well stocked and we would definitely go back." - "The place feels larger than the photos suggest.
