- "This house worked great for our family. The middle section of the house has a large couch with a TV that fit all the kids after a fun day on the beach. It connects with a large dining table and kitchen area. Then you can go out on a nice covered patio with a table and sitting area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on either side of this middle room. The air conditioner kept the house comfortable with many overhead fans to move the air. We enjoyed pickle ball at night under the lights when the temperature was cooler. We tried the golf, but due to our poor golf skills decided it wasn't worth the stickers in our socks to find our lost balls.Lots of room for parking multiple vehicles. We would rent this house again."

- "The Lighthouse was a perfect spot for our 2023 family reunion. I had never been to Yuba Lake and didn't know what to expect. I have a large family and we came from all over the country. We loved the house, the views, the short walk to the water, and all the water activities. Several of my grandchildren have asked me if we could put this VRBO on our return list. The house is new, modern, and spacious with attractive decor. The kitchen is well-equipped and the ice machine was a lifesaver! We enjoyed eating at the large dining room table and out on the balcony overlooking the lake. The views of the lake, the mountains and the sunset were spectacular! It was great that the balcony was childproof with glass railings so that our youngest grandchild (14 months) and the parents could enjoy it too! Outside on the lower level we played corn hole on the green. It was a big hit! We had a lot of fun playing games, enjoying music, and spending time with each other. Scott, the owner, was very helpful. He was accessible and responded quickly to our questions. We highly recommend the Lighthouse for a great place to stay at Yuba Lake."

We were a group of 4 couples needing an overnight spot on our way to a retreat, and this was perfect. Thank you Sharon!" - "This was the perfect stop over for my family while traveling from California back to our home in Colorado. The home is very inviting with shabby chic decor, comfortable beds, super top notch cleanliness, cozy couches, and a nice kitchen for cooking. I had never been to Fillmore, Utah. There is a certain charm for sure. There are very few eateries in town but we found the Los Panchos taco truck to be excellent! The host Sharon was very kind and accommodating and easy to communicate with for a spontaneous over night. I definitely would recommend this home to anyone who finds themselves in the area. Thank you , Sharon, for a great stay."

If you have a desire to literally (or metaphorically) soak up the sun, drink refreshing reverse osmosis ice water, or rest easy knowing you're in a house that uses only non-toxic products, come stay for a spell! Even in the dead of winter, this charming A frame on the "island" of Gunnison Bend Reservoir can serve as its own retreat, even if all you do is lay on the floor of the loft and revel in its good vibes...or read, draw, write, create a masterpiece, or nap. If you're up for a more physical adventure, you're within walking distance of two beaches and have access to paddle boards and kayaks, as well as two boat ramps. Maybe rock hounding in the nearby desert is your thing. Regardless, this house is the perfect spot for an adventurous getaway or some quiet reflection/creation time.
The cozy bedroom has a queen sized bed. The loft has two queen memory-foam sofa sleepers and a nice view of the sunset. There are two bathrooms in case you need privacy or variety. The kitchen has an extra wide bar that seats up to 8 and has an additional fold-up table and chairs. The serene backyard contains a grill, fire table, and plenty of chirping birds in the morning. The deck, with its sectional and two rockers, is the perfect place to watch the sunrise. A carport will protect your car or boat from the elements, and Horus, the best dressed chicken in town and protector of the property, is out front, just waiting to be in your selfie--or at the very least spend some time with you while you sit on the front porch rockers and admire the setting sun.
This house is an experience in and of herself and just waiting for you to experience her good vibes!
- "My son wanted to do a trip to topaz mountain for his birthday and we stayed here. It was worth the drive to the mountain. Great layout for a weekend getaway host was even so thoughtful to decorate for his birthday." - "This place was perfect for our trip to Great Basin National Park. The resevoir was beautiful and convenient to paddle board from the property. It was very quiet. The amenities were great, the place was clean and we had fun playing board games on the large counter. Would definitely recommend this place and stay again when passing through."

About this space
Cozy cottage nestled in a special lakeside neighborhood. Escape the city hustle & bustle for some small-town vibes! Look at the stars, play in the water, explore the desert. This little piece of paradise has so much to offer!
-Private backyard space with hot tub, firepit, BBQ & cornhole
-Lake is awesome for boating (Apr-Sept) as well as paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, etc.
-Perfect location for all Great Basin attractions (U-Dig Fossils, Topaz Mtn, Notch Peak, Little Sahara, ATV rides)
The space
Having been recently remodeled, the cabinets, appliances, and most of the furniture are all brand new. The space has a trendy modern feel with a cozy beach twist!
-Two lakeside parks with grass areas, beaches, and boat ramps. The cottage is not shoreline, but it is only 1/4 mile from each park
****PLEASE READ!! As of right now (06/09/21), the landscaping and deck are still ongoing. We do have a firepit and firewood as well as a bbq grill and grilling utensils out back. The yard offers an excellent camping-style experience at this point!
Guest access
All of the land between the cabin and the road to the north can be used for parking.
The two neighborhood parks, which consist of nice lawn, shade trees, boat ramps and beach, are only available to residents of the Sherwood Shores neighborhood. This restricted access keeps them much more private than the Main Beach, which is open to the public and can be found across the water to the west.
- "This cottage was perfect for my 2 nieces and me. It was clean, quiet and perfectly located for our visits to U-Dig Fossils, Topaz Mountain and other rockhounding sites." - "Very cozy, but comfortable place. We did not stay at a time where we could take advatage of the lake, but it looked like a lot of fun. It worked extremely well for our planned trilobite dig. Two recommendations: 1.The kitchen needs a sponge - scrubber to wash the pots and pans. 2. The twin beds upstairs are not for adults; they are junior beds. Need to put that in the description."

A mile or less away from two grocery stores, bar, restaurants, bowling alley, movie theater, gas stations, gyms, indoor swimming pool and recreation center. 45 mins from 2 different Hot Springs. 15 miles from closest hiking trails. 1.5 hours from Crystal ball cave. 40 minutes from You-dig-fossils.
Other things to note
This room shares common spaces with 3 to 5 other guests. This means each guest is responsible to clean up after themselves, to bring their own food and belongings, to remove them from each of the common areas when they are done in that space, and take them out of the property once they leave. You are sharing spaces such as a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and living room with 3 to 5 other guests. That means some guests may or may not be as clean as you are comfortable with. We are so sorry if they do not match your level of cleanliness or organization. By booking this room, you agree to these terms and the potential of sharing common spaces with other people and their personal habits. Thank you for understanding.
Single room with full sized bed, closet, and bathroom towels. This room has a shared bathroom with two other rooms and shared other common spaces.
Other things to note
Airbnb requires that we track all of the guests. So we have to know that you have a second guest and what his name is. I told your husband when he tried to book this room yesterday. Each of the rooms say you can only have one guest except for room four that says you can have two guests, but it’s referring to the futon outside of the actual room which is an additional space. This room does not allow two people unfortunately.
