My husband, our dog, and I stopped there overnight on our way to Cincinnati for Thanksgiving. The house is historic, adorable, and well appointed. Peggy is good company and an excellent hostess. Super private cabin nestled in the woods. It is the closest cabin to the Elk Visitors Center. If you don't mind the hills, you could easily walk to the Center! Perfect for a couples get-away. The Bear Den is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that can sleep 7 comfortably and has a hot tub on a covered porch! With an accessibility ramp out front, you enter the cabin into the living room that has a couch, recliner, smart TV, and electric fireplace. Through to the kitchen, you'll find countertop seating at the bar or pull up a chair around our live edge walnut table! The kitchen is stocked with basic kitchen essentials such as pots, pans, spatulas, plates, bowls, silverware, etc. Both bedrooms feature king beds with an additional camp bed and the sofa bed being used for extra sleep spaces. Wilson's Paradise Lodging offers 2 cabins, The Fawn Lodge as you see here and The Hillbilly Hilton also available for booking on VRBO. Wilson's Paradise also offers a one bedroom motel room style rental called The Stone Front, also available on VRBO. The cabins are located on a private road away from the highway. Deer and Bear are often on the premises and occasionally Elk will venture through. Medix Run offers excellent trout fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing. There is also a large creek approx 1/2 mile away from Wilson's Paradise Lodging that is a popular kayak route when there is sufficient water.

Cookware/dishes are available for use in the kitchens, but bring your own spices, cooking oils, coffee, etc. Bottled water is provided, do not drink the tap water.

The Stone Front at Wilson's Paradise Lodging LLC located in Medix Run, Benezette Twp, PA. It is a 1-bedroom unit with 1 bathroom. The Stone Front is partitioned off from the owner-occupied main house. There is no doorway between the house and The Stone Front and the only thing shared is the driveway. The Stone Front at Wilson's Paradise is nothing fancy, but it is a cozy retreat to relax and sleep after a day of elk viewing in the heart of the PA Wilds. There is Wifi, Smart-tv, Refrigerator, Microwave and Propane Grill (propane provided) on the porch. Bedding & Towels provided, you bring everything else including utensils and plates if planning on grilling. There is no kitchen in the unit. The porch is a great place to relax and have a few drinks at the end of a long day.

Totally private space is really like a one bedroom apartment. Located five minutes from DuBois Regional Medical Center and downtown DuBois. Ten minutes from the DuBois Penn State Campus. The space
Years ago this house was a duplex. This space has a separate private entrance with locks through the porch at 311 Pifer. There are two porches, 309 Pifer, the main residence, and 311 Pifer the Airbnb entrance. It has no access to the upstairs although the stairs remain. A door, bolted on your side leads to my Kitchen. The space includes a private bathroom with shower, a dining table and food preparation area outside of the bedroom. Property is in between to two empty lots. Well behaved pets are welcome.

Guest access
The backyard includes a vegetable garden, fruit trees and a concrete patio. There are chairs on the attached narrow back porch which guests are welcome to use. I often sit out there myself. Smoking is allowed.

We are about 2 mile from town proper. There 3 grocery stores and a few convenience stores nearby.

Feel free to wander around our little property and enjoy the flowers and the garden in the spring and summer. In the fall and winter Moose Creek splashes along nearby covered with fall leaves or snow and ice.

Spacious lower level of my home, private sleeping area separated but all one big room. There are curtains you can pull to make more private. There is a futon also that can open up to a double bed if you have an older child or friend with you. Seperate quite small bathroom, but adequate and clean.

The apartment comfortably sleeps 3 people. We will allow exceptions contingent upon an additional charge of $25 per person per night. If more than a couple people use the shower, please take into account that time may be needed in between each shower for hot water to remain abundant. The water pressure is nice and high, but this positive aspect of the shower will have the tendency to deplete the hot water faster.

There is one parking spot in the rear of the building for your use. Contact us if you need more parking accommodations.

RV/Camper is located at the Cayman Landing Campground inside the private Treasure Lake community in Dubois PA. Ten square miles of woods to hike, forage, recreate and enjoy!

Plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. 30 miles to elk viewing areas.

Our RV is stocked with jugs of water for cooking, bottled water , Keurig coffee machine with kcups and tea.

We also have a stove with 2 small pots and 2 pans with lots of cooking and eating utensils.

This studio-type cabin is set in the peaceful woods of Luthersburg. Great for a quiet and secluded weekend getaway or group hunting trip.
