Mulched area: Offers many different shrubs and flowers. You will find flower buckets around as well. Please stick to walking on the pavers and not the mulch as this will be tracked into the house. There are also some vegetables growing around porch area.

GrapeVine: If grapes are ready, feel free to pick.

Walking Paths: There is one that loops the upper field and one that circles down by the river and back up.

This is a two story cabin nestled in a private wooded area next to a stream. The upstairs has two private bedrooms with full size beds and a newly remodeled bathroom. Renters must provide their own bed linens, blankets, pillows, towels and bathroom products. The cabin can sleep additional two people by using the futon in a downstairs entertainment room. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven and coffee pot. The pots and pans, plates, silverware and utensils are available for use. Also included is basic soaps, toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning products. Property has city water and garbage collection is on site. Wifi is available and there is cable TV for the main living room and both bedrooms. Cell phone service can be accessed, and a land line is available for local calls only.

A private lane leads to plenty of parking next to the cabin with lots of outdoor lighting. This is a great location for a quiet getaway, birthday parties, or local family reunions. Separate pricing for events based on number of people attending, call for details. A covered porch with swing and chairs faces the stream for a relaxing afternoon. A fire pit is located next to the stream and beside a covered pavilion.

For the adventurer, Parker Dam, Elliott Park, Bilger Rocks, and Curwensville Dam are close by. For other points of interest and entertainment there is Grice’s Gun Shop, the Ritz theater and local wineries. Enjoy the 12 miles of rails to trails for biking and hiking between Clearfield and Grampian. Enjoy fishing, rafting and kayaking on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River, which flows through Clearfield, and was named one of 2012 best destinations by National Geographic Magazine. This luxurious cabin is a work of art! Ed, co-owner and my husband, who also built our home, renovated this former hunting cabin which we lived in while building our home next door. The cabin played a prominent role in the movie, Generational Sins. It was the boyhood home of one of the characters and the film and is featured throughout the film. We have a copy, so you can watch it during your stay! Many of our guests particularly enjoyed watching it 'on location'!

The cabin has one bedroom, one bathroom w/shower, a kitchen and a great room with a futon and a couch, so it sleeps 4-5 guests. The cabin is equipped with most everything you should need. It has a fully stocked kitchen with dinnerware, pots and pans, utensils and cookware. We provide a variety of breakfast items, such as coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, cereal, muffins, and even pancake mix, but you can bring whatever you like to cook. There is a gas stove, refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster, blender, and a coffee maker.

Sheets, blankets, towels, and toiletries are included. We also provide an iron and a blow dryer.

For indoor fun we have several board games, cards, puzzles and books, coloring books, and a TV for watching DVD movies. There is no television reception or WiFi, but we have very good Verizon service.

The front porch has a couple of rocking chairs and a swing for relaxing outdoors and watching the wildlife. There is an outdoor campfire ring and a grill rack and an outdoor dining area. There are many miles of hiking trails within a short drive and miles and miles of wilderness to explore. Some of the best fishing streams in Pennsylvania are only a short distance away and if you like paddling, we are only one mile from the West Branch Susquehanna river. We offer a shuttle service if you bring your own boats and there is a local outfitter if you need to rent equipment. Winter and summer outdoor activities are endless!

The cabin is heated in the winter and has AC for the summer months. Parking is very close to the entrance for easy unloading. There is a keypad entry.

Guests are welcome to explore our 24 private acres. We have trails on the property. There is an outdoor fire pit for cookouts and s'mores!

Other things to note
Due to the nature of the development we live in, the road leading to the property is a private road and we need to limit the number of vehicles that come to the cabin. We are limited to one vehicle per stay, so we advise you to make plans for sharing a ride if you are coming with friends. We're sorry, but we cannot accommodate visitors.

NOTE: Our cabin is perfect for extended stays and it is completely isolated from the outside world and conducive to working remotely in a natural, forested setting. We offer discounts for extended stays.

Here is a fun fact about the main house at Oak Mountain Hideaway is that it is a live music venue! We have been hosting Oak Mountain Hideaway House Concerts since 2005! We cover many genres of music and host many international acts from Ireland, Scotland, The Netherlands and others. You will be able to attend a concert and then stay overnight, right next door! He was in the process of making the outdoor living space even better, but we were able to grill in the rain too. He was a very generous host, very micasa su casa. My 10 year old loved exploring the woods and being unplugged.It's a very small town and it is a dry town from my experience. So if you plan on adult beverages, plan ahead. The fish nearby at Key Largos was amazing! Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely try to go back the next time we need to get away for a weekend."

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Enjoy Riverfront access on the front side and access to the Rails to Trails on the back side. Ride bikes or take a hike to explore. There is also access to fresh spring water on the property just a short walk away. I consider this relaxing spot to be primitive. No electricity but there are battery lights and heat!! There is also a beautiful outhouse, cleaned for every stay 😍 Glamping at its finest.

Welcome to the Creekside Cabin @ The Bear's Den! This magnificent 5-bedroom, 3-bath cabin is situated on 30 nontimbered acres in the PA Wilds. The living room and kitchen have gorgeous mahogany hardwood flooring that flows into the 5 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have access to their own deck. This cabin is equipped with central AC and hot water baseboard heat.
You will find serenity amongst the forest with the most remarkable amenity, Lick Run, known as one of the best wild brook trout streams in Clearfield County. Other features include a spring fed two-tier pond, luxurious pavilion with fireplace and movie screen, hiking trails, underground utilities and communications, security gate access, property firetruck, yard hydrants...just to mention a few.

Welcome to the Pennsylvania Wilds and the coziest tiny bear den around. Zen out in this simple but well loved 350 sq foot tiny home. A great base for your PA woods & water adventures, Quehanna hunts, Penn State football getaways or stop along your journey.

The space
The Bedroom: One full size, medium support memory foam bed & an assortment of pillows. Fans available for the white noise/fan sleeping folks. Bed sheets are 100% cotton. There is a seasonally available window A/C unit. The bedroom also has a closet space to hang clothing and a small book shelf with an assortment of under utilized books, great for a relaxing speed read during your stay.

The bathroom: has an impressive on demand hot RUNNING water shower, toilet and sink! 350sq foot & indoor plumbing, wowza! Fresh 100% cotton towels.

The Kitchen: A refrigerator proportional in size to the home. And for your tiny home cooking needs- a counter top GreenLife Ceramic air fryer/toaster/oven, an electric kettle, coffee grinder & press, a blender, an electric single burner cook top, and an electric panini press/grill. An assortment of teas & coffee to make your mornings at the zen bear den a little easier.

Living room: don't look to hard for it, if you turn around from the kitchen you're there. If you've made it into the bedroom, you've gone to far and will need to pull a u-turn. There's a seating area with a small comfy couch & a high chair that allows the user to look out over the back yard from the big window. Deer, elk & bird viewing is possible.

Outdoor: There is a bistro set as well as a fire pit for your use. Please bring your own firewood if you plan to use it, we may have some at the time of your visit but cannot guarantee it. Please be responsible to your fire, drown it out when you're done.

Guest access
You'll have access to the entire tiny home and fire pit area outside. Please do not wander onto the neighboring field.

There is ample parking space on the gravel out front of the house.

A woodsy cabin nestled in the valley of central Pennsylvania, provides a peaceful stay. A perfect getaway for hunters, fishermen and anyone looking to escape. This cabin sits on a stocked trout steam, for great fishing. There is Wi-Fi access. This camp provides an outdoor smoker grill, fire pit with lounge chairs and indoor kitchen for all of your cooking needs. Minnow Camp truly is an oasis out in nature.
