The Paniolo suite is our largest room! This suite is named after the famous Hawaiian cowboys of Upcountry Maui, the “Paniolos”. Designed with a rustic but modern upcountry décor this suite is sure to give you a taste of the real Hawaii! It was designed for families or couples wanting to have extra space with two private sleeping areas. Its king size bed is located in the private bedroom side of the suite situated with a cozy fireplace and living room area. The separate dining room, entertainment, and kitchenette side is located in the front of the suite and includes a fold-out futon, dining table and is adjacent to the lanai. The garden level lanai is spacious with a seating area and small yard where you can admire our banana grove, plumeria, and small waterfall pond. The lanai has its own staircase to the pool deck and Jacuzzi giving this room direct access to the pool area where you can sit back, relax and take a dip!

The Fisher's Hana Hale is located across the street from Hana Bay and Waikoloa Beach. We are within walking distance of Hana Bay, Hana town, and Travasa Hotel. Just a short distance down the road is Waianapanapa State Park, Koki and Hamoa beaches. The downstairs features one bedroom and one bathroom, kitchen, living area, screened in lanai with queen bali bed, limited wireless Internet and a Smart TV. For larger parties you can add the upstairs which has one bedroom and one bathroom, living room area, full kitchen and a screened in lanai with a ping pong table. Remember Hana is a rural tropical rainforest so there are insects and rain. But those are the things that make Hana so unique and beautiful. If you need extra space you can also add the upstairs area, please inquire.

I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping with the windows open since they were so close to the ground and I was only traveling with my daughter. We were over heated in the house with only leaving one window open at night. It was the only window that was high and low to the ground. It was very hot at night mostly because we are use sleeping in air-conditioning on hot summer nights and to scared to leave all the windows open in the house at night because we were in a wooded rainforest. I think if we weren’t used to sleeping in air-conditioning it wouldn’t have bothered us so much. We both were very sweaty and had a hard time sleeping both nights because of the humidity and ho summer night. We loved the house but have decided for future plans we will book a place with AC. We will never forget this experience because we woke up and had no idea that Lahaina had burned down last night, because there is no reception at this house. The Wi-Fi does not work, no TV and can’t make it out going call I’m your cell phone. It doesn’t have anything to do with the Wi-Fi technically at this house that’s how it is on the entire side of Hana, everywhere, every house! Only reception is at the gas station. We found a local family to stay with after we checked out because we couldn’t get to our hotel in Lahaina because of the wildfires."

The house sits in the middle of the 4 acres surrounded by lawn, flowers, fruit trees and forest. Guests are welcome to harvest the fruit and flowers. It is very quiet, and on clear nights it is like a bowl of stars turned upside down on our land.
Both bedrooms have top quality beds, luxury linens, tvs and ceiling fans. Both rooms look out into the magnificent jungle.
The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower. The towels are big and soft.
The kitchen literally has everything, all top quality. There is also a charcoal grill on the covered lanai. There are two eating areas outside on the covered lanai where we have a harvest table and a four top teak table. There are also stools for the kitchen island.
The living area has been redecorated with new couches, chairs, and coffee table. It also has a tv, wifi and ceiling fan.
Outside on the covered lanai is another living set up with two couches and a coffee table and two outdoor eating areas. This is the best place to ponder how lucky you are! A wonderful outdoor shower is on the back of the house, hot and cold water, fun to use!
There are board games and a bocce ball set, dvd's, beach chairs and towels.
The house is located within walking distance to the Hana Lava Tubes, Kahanu Gardens and Hana Farms, Hana's Friday night hotspot for pizza and live music. There are also 3 food trucks on the road offering local eats, acai bowls and homemade ice cream. Waianapanapa State Park is only 2 miles away and Hana town is an easy 10 minute drive.

The tropical ecosystem does consist of geckos, non venomous spiders, wasps, mosquitoes, centipedes, and a variety of other insects. Yes, they do sometimes find their way into the cottage, especially the geckos. We do have monthly pest service and are diligent with catching them. They are harmless and eat insects. If you have any concerns about them or perhaps encountering any of these creatures.....PLEASE DO NOT BOOK!

JJ’s Hana Hale is a air conditioned 1 bedroom cottage, conveniently located near idyllic Hana town near the tiny Hana Airport in a historic district Hawaiian’s call: Ka’eleku, we’re on 6 verdant acres (turn left near the 31 mile marker on the legendary Hana Hwy). We live on the property, dedicating a large portion of it as a sanctuary for neglected animals. All are tame and very friendly. We encourage our guests to feel comfortable, enjoying their company… A second bedroom with its own bath can be made available if you have an extra guest (s) for an additional fee. Please inquire ahead of time.

- "First I apologize for the late response to review. All we can say is if you do not book this little farm as a weekender in Hana or for a break in between your Hana trek, you are missing out. We found it to be super charming. Alan is an incredible host, as are all the animals living their best life there. Lucy the dog came to greet us when we arrived, you will fall in love with her. The accommodation was spacious. At first we were a little concerned that there was no AC (sorry we’re from AZ…lol) but we quickly realized it was not needed. They do provide fans but really just open the doors and the breeze will flow through the screens, plus it rained in the evening and the early morning. There is a friendly gecko that hangs out in the unit, don’t be alarmed, he’s simply there for critter control. The morning we checked out, there was a gentleman there trimming the coconut trees and we were treated to fresh coconut. The farm is perfectly located & a short drive from Hana highway & places to grab coffee if you’re on the go. I/we could go on and on about this place but do yourselves a favor and go check it out. “Kaihalulu” – Unit 105 – is an ocean view studio unit located ground floor in the Mauka (upper) building. “Mokuhano” – Unit 205 – is an upper floor, ocean view studio located in Hana Kai’s Mauka Building. There is a king-size bed in the living/bedroom area, open-beam ceilings and tiled floors throughout. The view of the bay is enhanced by the expanded glass wall and vinyl sliding doors. There is a spacious covered lanai with a table and comfy chairs and a great view of Hana Bay and the Pacific.

The Makani suite is named after the wonderful trade winds we receive here on Maui! Enjoy the breeze in the front lanai rocking chairs while sipping your cup of coffee. Though this is our economy suite it is spacious and has all the comforts and amenities. Designed in a traditional Hawaiian décor, this room has a relaxing feel. The spa-like bath with its dual shower rain head will rejuvenate you after a long day of adventures. Sleep comfortably on the queen size bed and lounge in the living space with a comfortable love seat and reading nook. It has a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and all the utensils you will need. This room is great for couples traveling on a budget but still want the amenities of a high-end accommodation.

The Ho'okipa Surf Suite Studio at Heavenly Hana Paradise features a private lanai and entrance, surrounded by fresh ginger, gardenia, and tropical greenery. The en suite bathroom includes plush bath towels, hand towels, complementary toiletries, and beach towels.

A UV Sanitizer Box is included in your suite. You can easily and quickly disinfect your phone, jewelry, watches, credit cards, keys and remotes during your stay. The UV Sanitizer box will clean up to 99.9% of household germs, viruses, and bacteria.

A UV Air Purifier used in cleaning of your suite removes 99.97% of the dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, odors, and air particles as small as 0.3 microns. Fresh coconut, mango, pineapple, papaya, avocado, lemon and ripe banana trees surround Heavenly Hana Paradise and guests may pick fruit, when in season. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities in the surrounding areas, such as snorkeling and hiking.

The center of Hana town, Hana Bay, Koki Beach, Hāmoa Beach, the Hana Lava Tube, and Waianapanapa State Park (with the famous black sand beach) are all within a 10 minute drive from Heavenly Hana Paradise.

Haleakala National Park at Kipahulu at about 35 minutes away, with the pools at O`heo Gulch and Pipiwai Trail, a two mile hike through a bamboo forest terminating at a spectacular waterfall.

Hana is home to over a dozen food trucks that are usually open for lunch. Braddah Hutts BBQ, one of our favorite food trucks, is located just outside of Hana town and is open from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm weekdays. Kilo's Kitchen, also a favorite food truck, is located about 1/4 mile from Heavenly Hana Paradise just past the
Hana Police Station on Uakea Road and is open weekdays for lunch. Thai Food by Pranee, also on Uakea and located near Hana Bay is usually open weekdays for lunch.

The Bamboo Hale at Hana Farms (near the "Welcome to Hana" sign) is open daily for lunch and for lunch and for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Hana Resort serves breakfast daily beginning at 7:00 am.

Hana Ranch Restaurant is open daily for lunch and for dinner (until 9:00 pm).

The two grocery stores in Hana are Hasegawa General Store (closes at 6:00 pm) and Hana Ranch Store (closes at 7:00 pm). There is one gas station, which closes around 7:00 pm and is the only gas station in East Maui after you leave Paia town.

I was weary as Hana can be quite rural and limited options, but this place was quaint and exactly what we needed. The cabin is on a shared 6 acre property. Guests can enjoy the privacy of the yard around them. Also feel free to walk along the cabin road and enjoy the flowers!

Please be aware that we are in the country and do not spray harsh chemicals so ants and occasional bugs are a possibility.

The Pele suite is named after the Hawaiian goddess of volcanos and creator of the islands. It is designed with a tropical and natural theme. Its lava shower and unique bathroom will make you feel as if you’re bathing in the jungles of Hawaii. There is a comfortable living space with a full size pull out sofa and small kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine and all the utensils you will need. We went to Haleakala for sunset, checked in at 9pm, then got up at 3am for sunrise at the crater. As soon as we returned to our suite I came down with a cold so I was in the room for 2 days. It was very comfortable and the manager, Erin, was very helpful to me and my husband. I got to see the beautiful views and scenery as we were checking out.
