The space
There are several amenities that make this property special, unique, and a great value!! Alongside the main bedroom with queen bed is a spacious second room with a sofa bed, which can be used as a living room, office space, dining area, yoga space, or even a second bedroom. The apartment also includes a full bathroom with tub and shower, a separate, *kitchenette* with several appliances: refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, two hotplates, coffee maker, blender. Host will wash laundry for you, you can dry and fold. There are two private off-street parking spots. The outdoor sun deck (terrace) looks out at a partial ocean view, and the hot tub is surrounded by mature fruit trees--Meyer lemons, Haas avocados, and mango trees. The apartment has WiFi throughout, and there is one HDTV including premium stations like HBO.
We have space for guests to store bikes, surfboards and kite or windsurfing gear, as well as golf clubs.
Short driving distance to farmer's markets, food trucks and several excellent restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet, and the accommodations are very comfortable and private. From a guest who returns to Kula Treat annually, "This listing gives a chance to visit Maui as a resident and not a tourist. Hiking, views and comfort are first class."
Host would like to add: the apartment does have an iron and ironing board, and there is a hair dryer in the bathroom.
We are dedicated to reducing single use plastics, and we provide reusable water bottles for our guests that were generously donated by the Maui Surfrider Foundation.
We'd also like to add something about the two beds. The bed in the master bedroom is firm, but weʻve added a 3" foam topper for extra comfort. The sofa bed, in the second room is softer and also has an air mattress topper for extra comfort. If you know you do not like a firm mattress, the sofa bed can be made up for you, but *there is a an extra charge for the second bed when only two people are staying*. In Winter months (January thru March), space heaters are provided. We also have fans for the Summer months.
Also worth noting, although the driveway is relatively short, it is *steep*, and needs to be BACKED down. 98% of the time, the host is there to take your car down for you, and she is ALWAYS happy to provide that "valet" service - literally both day and night. Street parking is also available about 100 yards from the apartment. Host will show you both options upon your arrival.
As you may have noticed, Kula Treat gets a lot of five star reviews, but we want to be clear that this apartment is not the Four Seasons. It’s “country living” up here in Kula. We offer lots of nice amenities, and keep the rates very affordable, especially for such a spacious apartment than can sleep up to four people easily. The host will consider more than 4 guests, and can provide a portable single bed, or a queen airbed for this exception, but there will need to be some communication about that during the inquiry process.
Also worth noting: the nightly price is for up to two people, sharing one queen size bed. But the listing can take up to 6 people. If your party is more than 2 people, the price will automatically increase by $20 per night, per extra guests up to 5 people. The five star reviews are from people who really appreciate the value, cleanliness and the care put into the apartment, as well as lots of local tips provided by the host.

Guests have full access to the private apartment, outdoor hot tub, patio and outdoor furniture, some of the fruit trees and one off-street parking spot (everything listed here is exclusively for the guests, including the hot tub). We have beach chairs you are welcome to take to the beach and bring home, along with umbrellas, and a small selection of snorkel gear and boogie boards..
Because we have neighbors nearby, the outdoor area is not suitable as a play area for children. Although children are welcome here, we do need a level of quiet maintained - particularly outside, and most especially at night.

Other things to note
AirBnBʻs price structure is set up by the number of guests, not by the number of beds used. Generally speaking, a booking for two people means only the use of the master bedroom. If you are two people traveling together, but wish to have the second bedroom set up, thereʻs an additional set-up fee of $25 that doesnʻt show up when you book for only two people. The host will mention this in the message thread and discuss options and possible discounts. If three beds are needed, thereʻs a service fee of $25 for the portable single bed, OR a service see of $30 for use of the queen airbed, which will be set up for you, complete with bedding, for that one time fee.

Itʻs a 55 minute drive to the summit of Haleakala, 25 minute drive to the nearest beach, close to great restaurants, food trucks, locally grown farmers' markets, drugstore, super market, etc.

This is a great neighborhood located in lower Kula with a 2 minute walk to Morihara store and Kula Bistro restaurant. A 5 minute walk to Kula park which boarders the Kula fire station and Kula elementary school, one of the best Public Schools on Maui. Also a 3 min drive to true value gas station or Rice park. Come enjoy the peaceful community of Kula.

Very private 1920's historic log cabin retreat. Beautiful ocean and mountain views. The yard is full of a variety of native / non native plants and birds. Come enjoy a quiet getaway with cool nights and a warm cozy fireplace. TA registration number TA-070-604-1856-01.

The space
We are located at 3800 ft. Nights can get cool/cold, but the air is spectacular! The view from our location is stunning!

Guest access
The cabin is on a shared 6 acre property. Guests can enjoy the privacy of the yard around them. Also feel free to walk along the cabin road and enjoy the flowers!

Please be aware that we are in the country and do not spray harsh chemicals so ants and occasional bugs are a possibility.
