The MauiJOY Villa has been a favorite spa retreat for two couples to share and families with children. The kids love the pool!
Our favorite massage therapist will bring her table and you can get a relaxing massage poolside or beneath the mango tree in the lower gardens. There is a massage table located in the guest suite bedroom for your use.

The MauiJOY Villa has breathtaking views of the ocean and full South Western night skies. Lush tropical landscaping affords property privacy. The lower garden, also with ocean views, is a perfect meditation or yoga/pilates spot, and there are also various organic fruit trees including Mango, Papaya, Guava, Strawberry Guava, Tangerines, Oranges and Passion fruit vines for your morning smoothies.

There are many love birds I have rescued that visit our feeder along with finch, sparrow, and two species of cardinals, to name a few. If you enjoy bird watching, this is a good spot for that too. In fact, love birds who fly freely in our gardens may even stop to say 'aloha'. Our Axis deer actually "bark" and you may hear/see them on the adjacent vacant land.

Sit by your private pool and watch the whales play from December to May. You can actually watch them from the lanai (we have binoculars, however you may want to bring your own for boat trips) and the activity can be seen from here.

We have our own drinking water filters in the kitchens so no need to buy plastic water bottles, We encourage you to bring your re-fillable water bottles.
We have plenty of shopping bags/ cooler bags for your use.

The County of Maui is now discouraging any type of sunscreen that is NOT labled "reef safe" as our corals are being affected by the ingredients in sunscreen.
We do recycle as much as possible here too with recycling bins.

New Year's eve is spectacular with views of the resort fireworks as well.

This location is a little slice of heaven, a different experience from other rentals on Maui. Soak in unobstructed ocean and outer Island views as you gaze out at the green rolling pastures. The location is secluded yet still convenient to stores, dining, and outdoor activities. A car is necessary to get around Maui. Plenty of on-site parking available.

1. Quiet hoursfrom 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m during which noise in the rental home shall not disturb anyone on a neighboring property.

2. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the rental home is prohibited.

3. Vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area and shall not be parked on the street overnight.

4. No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur. Large gatherings, weddings or wedding receptions, or company events are not permitted. Use of the property for these purposes will immediately cause the rental to be cancelled without a refund. Only registered guests may stay overnight at the home. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of the Guest. This is not a loud party house. If that’s what you're looking for, this is not the rental for you.

5. We have a 90-day cancellation policy. Any cancellations made after 90 days will not be eligible for a refund.

6. No insurance is provided. We encourage our guests to purchase travel and/or trip interruption insurance.

7. VRBO/Home Away may charge service fees beyond our control. The owner receives no part of these fees.

When you stay in the MauiJOY Guest Suite, you park in the front main driveway and walk along your own Private Garden path that has motion lighting to the entrance located off the swimming pool lanai.
You enter your own private Resort with fantastic ocean views from the West Maui Mountains, across the ocean to the islands of Lanai'i, Kahoolawe, Molokini Crater and up through undeveloped land to Haleakala.
We invite you to bring your water bottles and use our filtered water instead of buying plastic water bottles.
There is a king sized bed with luxury linens in a large bedroom, a bathroom with shower/bath, washer/dryer, 40' Smart Flat Screen TV, free movies, premium linens, luxury bathrobes, beach chairs/towels and FREE hi-speed Wifi, netflix and Amazon Prime Pandora, HULU provided for our guests.

Many times we have guests in the 1B/1B with two small children and that seems to work out well. We can add a full baby crib, a single cot.

We have a security fencing we can install to secure the swimming pool area, so let us know, as we love kids and want them to be safe. We have beachtoys, umbrellas, floats, noodles, and lots of books, a variety of card games, and toys.

There are beautiful ocean views from the living and dining area. Sit by your private pool, enjoy your morning coffee, and watch the whales. This has been a favorite for families with younger children who can swim while closely monitored, and saves money too.

Located above Wailea in Maui Meadows at it's Southern border, adjacent to thousands of undeveloped acres, the MauiJOY Villa Guest Suite has breathtaking views of the ocean and night skies.
Lush tropical landscaping affords property privacy. The lower garden, complete with a Pavillion for ping-pong or set up the massage table as it is so peaceful with no buildings, only nature and ocean views, birds chirping....and is a perfect meditation or yoga spot.
There are also various organic fruit trees with Mango, Papaya, Guava, Strawberry Guava, Tangerines, Coconuts, Oranges and Passion fruit vines for your morning smoothies.
And now there is a wonderful large outdoor shower next to the banana trees to wash off after the beach or being in the pool area.

There are at least 25 love birds that visit our feeder along with finch, sparrow, and two species of cardinals, to name a few. If you enjoy bird watching, this is a good spot for that too. In fact, Uuku & Pua, hand raised love birds who fly freely in our gardens, may even stop by to say 'aloha'. If you’re lucky, there’ll be a bit of whale activity to watch from the lanai (December through April)! (We have binoculars, but you may want to bring your own.)

We are located in Maui Meadows which is an eclectic, quiet community just above the Wailea Resorts. We have the sunniest and best weather on the island. The neighborhood is a great place to take a walk or run and browse around, gazing at amazing ocean views. There are many birds whose beautiful songs fill the air.

Within minutes of the Ocean Blue Ohana, numerous local activities await. Beautiful beaches with long stretches of golden sand and crystal-clear waters invite ocean sports of snorkeling, swimming, stand-up paddle-boarding, and scuba. Perhaps you want to just relax with a book on the beach or walk/run the Wailea Beach Path.

Numerous world-famous beautiful golden sand beaches are very close such as Keawakapu Beach, Makena Big Beach, Little Beach, Wailea Beach, Maluaka Beach, Po’Olenalena Beach, Palauea Beach, Secret Beach, and Charley Young Beach.

December through April is whale season in Maui and you will be able to spot them off the coastline breaching, playing and swimming along the coastline.

Many beaches were within a quick drive, and access to other parts of the island was great. The view is nothing short of amazing. Everything we needed was at the house, making it easy to make the trip from the Midwest without a ton of luggage. When they say pack light, they aren’t kidding! Coolers, beach gear, chairs, everything you need is right there. April and Bob made it so easy to get settled. We highly recommend ping pong and checking out the garden, also fantastic parts of the property! Last note - we spent a night at a lovely resort in Wailea the night before checking into the Ohana, and while it was beautiful, we’d choose the Ohana for location, ease of getting in/out of a car to explore, space to relax…everything. We didn’t miss having a pool enough to think of it, and the 7 year old having his own space was priceless."

The second master bedroom on the lower level is a studio suite with ensuite bathroom and kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. It includes two queen beds; a living area including flat screen TV with sofa and coffee table and has a with a private split A/C. Perfect for a family with small children. The large lanai with BBQ, yard, and saltwater pool are accessed through two large sliding glass doors. The home comes with an upscale kitchen with large functional center island and bar. There is a separate laundry room complete with washer/dryer and full-size sink and a convenient out-door shower. The house accommodates up to 10 guests. Maximum guest up to 12 with a fully furnished pool house with kitchenette, half bath, new private outdoor shower and new high-end queen-size sleeper sofa and dining area to host with no extra cost for reservations up to 12 guests.

- "My wife and I, 3 of my siblings and their spouses, stayed 10 days in April. Age range is 59-73. We love traveling together, especially evenings where one couple cooks a meal for all, and afterwards we play cards, Mexican Train, and enjoy wide ranging conversations. This house was nearly perfect for that. Positives: our host, Diane, was wonderful and very responsive when a couple of minor issues came up. She had great tips on when/where to go on the island. The house itself was very roomy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked making meal prep a breeze. We really enjoyed the second story balcony and nice view of the ocean as well as the pool. It’s a short 6-7 minute drive to a great beach next to the Grand Wailea along with the Shops at Wailea. Negatives: they were few but they were there. First, the house is advertised as a 4 BR that sleeps 12, but the two tables (dining room and balcony) each seat 6. Since there were 8 of us, we had to add a couple more chairs and crowd around either table at mealtime. Additionally, the dining room chairs were old and extremely uncomfortable for old butts like ours who like to sit and visit, play cards, etc, after dinner. The bedrooms were all good size, but two did not have any useable closet space. Beach equipment was provided, but only 4 chairs and one umbrella for 8 guests (or 12 as advertised). Lastly, we would have used the pool more if the main living area was not on the second floor. Bottom line: had a wonderful time here!"

The cabin is on a shared 6 acre property. Guests can enjoy the privacy of the yard around them. Also feel free to walk along the cabin road and enjoy the flowers!

Please be aware that we are in the country and do not spray harsh chemicals so ants and occasional bugs are a possibility.
