At Rusty Barn our country cabin is ideal for a romantic get away or a great place to stay after a long day of work. It is located near the front of our small 80 acre working ranch overlooking the property.

Built in the 90's out of logs, the Cowboy Cabin has a rustic, vintage feel. Over the years, the floor has settled and become a bit unlevel, but is sturdy and strong. The cabin is decorated reminiscent of the Old West. Thereis a private bedroom with a queen bed. The living area features a double bed in the living area and 2 chairs that make into individual beds, a Roku smart TV, videos, games and free internet. The bath has a shower and sink with mirror. The full kitchen has a dining table with chairs, cookware, dishes, a Keurigand regular coffee maker. Enjoygreat views from the large front porch, complete with a porch swing. The firepit with a bench and a small beach is right out the front door, as well as an outdoor kitchen with charcoal cooking and 4 chairs. Charcoal is not provided. Activities include fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, biking, paddle boating, swimming, and walking on the path around the lake & more.
The space:
There are 3 cabins available to rent on this property. They are The Cowboy Cabin, The Indian Cabin and The Bunkhouse Cabin. The cabins sit between a 10 acre lake in the front and a 5 acre pond behind with gorgeous trees and wildflowers. The cabins are approximately 20 to 50 yards apart and are separated by trees and shrubs. Please see the picture of all 3 cabins for reference. Ducks, turtles, geese and deer are frequent visitors.

Country feel bunkhouse that is just minutes from town. Beautiful Kiamichi River just 1/4 mile away to relax and get away from your busy life! Sit outside and look at the cattle grazing in the fields and listen to the birds singing! Perfect little spot on earth. Offering fishing, floating and swimming in the Kiamichi River.

Clean Cute little one room cabins in a beautiful setting. Fishing and hunting out the back door. Canoeing and four wheeling close by! We have a 9 hole disk golf course. The fall foliage is breathtaking. Enjoy all nature has to offer! There is a 6 person Hot Tub & A brand new shower house right outside. - "Originally this trip was a chance for my husband and I to spend spring break with our daughter and grandkids, ( 17, 12, 3). But the week before my 84 yr old mother entered the hospital seriously ill and declined quickly passing on Monday morning the 13th, just 2 days prior to our trip. The trip turned out to be a beautiful place to let God hold me, and in the midst of heartache and find moments of Joy, and laughter, and just rest. Although the weather was cold the kids were able to take the paddle boat and Kayaks out on the lake, make stores, and ping pong on the deck. Our 3 year old granddaughter ask if she could live there with her mom. Highly recommend this home to anyone. Would live to go back in warmer weather . ☆☆☆☆☆"

The kitchenette has a mini fridge, toaster oven, two electric burners, a Keurig coffee maker, microwave and table with 4 chairs. The large covered deck features a full size fridge, picnic table, bar height gaming table & propane grill overlooking the pond. A firepit and large swing are provided and face the private lake. Activities are fishing which is exceptional, swimming, paddle boating, boating, kayaking, hiking, biking, and grilling. A walking path goes all the way around the lake. The space: There are 3 cabins available to rent on this property. They are The Cowboy Cabin, The Indian Cabin and The Bunkhouse Cabin. The cabins sit between a 10 acre lake in the front and a 5 acre pond behind with gorgeous trees and wildflowers. The cabins are approximately 20 to 50 yards apart and are separated by trees and shrubs. Please see the picture of all 3 cabins for reference. Ducks, turtles, geese and deer are frequent visitors. Some firewood is provided.

- "I booked the cabin for family. Our house was not big enough to accommodate all of our family coming to stay for a graduation event. Garrett called and said i could coke check out the property to make sure that it would accommodate our needs. The place is beautiful and quiet. When it came time for check-in we could not find the keys, I contacted Garrett and he said he would arrange for keys to be brought down. We decided that was not necessary and were not worried. I will definitely be renting the place again when family come back to visit."

The space
This cozy two story home on 6 acres is perfect for a quiet retreat or family getaway. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, large living room, piano, games, kitchen, dining room, bar, washer and dryer, front porch, books, and DVDs.
There is an elderly black lab named Ash on the property that gets taken care of. She is harmless and friendly.

Guest access
There will be a couple of locked closets for storage. The garage, barn, shed, and old stairs outside are off limits.
The fireplace is currently out of order until further repairs are made.

The Lodge at Shady Oaks Resort is a beautifully decorated two-story lodge with space to spread out. A large downstairs common includes a fireplace, large TV, massage chairs, and a large kitchen. If letting someone else do the cooking is your thing, you could walk to the bar & grill located at the resort. The backyard includes a gazebo, fire pit, and grill. Great for weekend getaways, family reunions, small get-togethers, private parties, or company retreats.
