The owners live on property and are available in emergencies. If you need to reach us, we are available via text. We live on 10 acres and that leads to having various projects going on at any given time. The most common maintenance that you could hear or see would be us trimming trees, mowing the yards, cleaning the pond, and tending to our garden. If we have time, we are happy to interact, but we also know some people just need respite and we respect this desire for privacy.

Mountain View Park Neighborhood: This neighborhood is historic and on private roads. We boast towering cedar and oak trees, abundant wildlife, and great walking trails. It's the only neighborhood with wooded acreage 1 mile from the highway i-35 and so close to all the amenities in town and the lake. There is simply no other neighborhood of its kind in all of Edmond. Be surrounded by nature, yet right next to the City. We also provide all the information on the history of the historic neighborhood in our guestbook.

We are 1 mile from the highway, 1 mile from Lake Arcadia boat ramps and beaches, 3 miles from University of Central Oklahoma, 20 minutes from downtown OKC, 10 minutes from downtown Edmond, and close to all the eateries, movie theaters, bowling, bakeries, grocery stores, etc.

You will have access to the entire house minus the cleaning closet. You will also have access to our Koi pond, kids playhouse and the surrounding area of the house. 4 parking spots within our gates are available to you.

Downstairs: The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook any meal. There is a large island for prepping meals. A bar for eating, 2 living areas, 1 dining table for four, 1 fireplace, and a unique Japanese soaking tub are all accessible downstairs.
Upstairs: a spiral staircase leads to an open loft with 1 king and 1 queen. It has a private bathroom and shower.
Outside: 1 table that seats 4 is located on the front porch, one covered outdoor living area on the back porch and one charcoal grill.

We are 25 minutes from Will Rogers International Airport and 1 mile from Lake Arcadia. We have free parking for 4 cars and are 3 minutes from I-35. We are available to make recommendations for any activities you may be interested in doing. We have created a guidebook for you to check out before and during your stay. We also have a book of favorite restaurants, favorite u-pick farms, and local entertainment ideas in our guidebook at the house. The Gate House was built in 1940's and has been remodeled with unique features, all while maintaining its historic charm. From the native cedar spiral staircase, to the peaceful outdoor space, to the one of a kind hospitality- it is the ONLY Cabin of its kind in OKC/Edmond/Central Oklahoma.

A few things to note about our Cabin:

*The loft is open. We have two beds in the loft that are on opposite ends of the loft. The king size bed does have a wall and door for privacy. The Loft spans the entire length of the house, the queen bed is open in the loft area and the king bed has a door that can be locked. The beds are not side by side; they are in separate rooms. If you are traveling with another couple, please note that the queen bed is open in the loft, the king bed is in a room with a door that can be closed.

*There is a spiral staircase built out of all native cedar lumber taken from the property. The staircase leads to the open loft and requires coordination and strength to carry luggage up the stairs. All rooms are upstairs, so it is imperative for guests to be able to navigate a spiral staircase.

*We also have a Japanese soaking tub in the downstairs bathroom. This bathtub is not a typical bathtub. It requires stepping up two steps and then stepping down into the tub. It is only meant for soaking and not meant for showering. And again, it could be harder to enjoy if you struggle with walking up or down steps. This is not the only bathroom, we also have a bathroom upstairs with a shower.

Cancellation Policy: We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance at the time of booking. Full payment is due at the time of reservation. We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations due to acts of God, pandemics, weather conditions, or medical emergencies. All cancellations will incur a non-refundable 10% processing fee to cover third-party payment and platform charges—regardless of when the cancellation occurs. We love to help you as little or as much as you'd like. Our office is in the back of the home, but has no access to the home and we tread lightly when we have guests. You may see us from time to time working, but we keep to ourselves unless you need something. We are happy to offer up our favorite local restaurants and book stores if you need them!

This home has two floors. The living room, dining area and kitchen and half bath are downstairs and the two bedroom and full bathroom are located upstairs. Our home is equipped with High Speed Fiber internet excellent for streaming Netflix, Hulu, Youtube or watching local HD TV channels. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics and then some. Slow Cooker, Toaster, Blender. If you need anything let us know we're happy to add amenities for future guest.

Guest will have full access to the home. Parking is available in the driveway in front of the home as well as on the street.

The property features over a mile of wooded walking trails, a three acre pond, family friendly farm animals including everyone's favorite, Kenny the Clydesdale, a scenic back porch and more. The property and farmhouse is family friendly and accommodates up to six guests.

The house is about 1,300 square feet and has two bedrooms, one and half baths, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, shower / bath combo, an open living area and LOTS of space outside including a stone patio with fire pit and wood deck with an outdoor eating area. In the summer there is a garden outside the farm house and guests are welcome to enjoy fresh vegetables from the garden.

Guests will have the full house to themselves. The house stands alone on twenty acres. The property is adjacent to the owners twenty acres. Guests have access to the entire 40 acres to enjoy the animals, hiking, etc.

The owners live on an adjacent property and are available if any needs arise during the stay.

The house and property are situated in the heart of Arcadia, OK. We are about three miles from Route 66 and fun dining at Pops or the Chicken Shack. We are about ten minutes from a Wal Mart and Sam’s in Edmond and about thirty minutes from downtown OKC.

There is a two car covered parking bay and plenty of space for additional vehicles as needed.

The house does not have a TV as we hope guests have lots of opportunities to spend time enjoying the outdoors and farm life during their stay! The house does have high speed WiFi though just in case it rains or the kids need a rest / video streaming break or there are work emails needing a response ;-)
We are okay with guests coming to visit during your stay, but please let us know ahead of time who will be coming.

We charge an event fee of between $100 and $500 (depending on the number of people attending and scope and scale of the activities) for hosting events such as birthdays, showers, graduation parties, corporate retreats, etc. Please get permission for any events prior to booking and we will provide the additional fee at that time.
