The Loft is the upper story of a house with my shop below. The loft has a large deck which has a grill, hammock, outdoor table for 4, two lounge seats and a hot tub. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, large jd tv in the bedroom,dining room, and a living area with a reclining sofa and TV. Our property has a vineyard, an almost 4,000 square foot cedar covered veranda with darts, music, TVs, corn hole, ( we offer wedding and Reception packages in a separate request). Lots of trees, a pond with a deck, and shaded places to be outside. We have plenty of wildlife including rabbits, roadrunners, and cardinals, as well as frogs, fish and turtles in the pond. In the summer, we have lots of purple martins who come back year after year.
Many of our travelers enjoy feeding the fish, walking the vineyard or others just enjoy getting away from the bustle of city life.
Unfortunately for those of you who would like to make this a family vacation with children, we regret to inform you this is an adult only destination.

- "Beautiful, clean! Great experience" - "For starters, the loft listing is very humble. When I arrived I was expecting to stay in a nice-ish efficiency apartment over an old workshop. What I found was a lovely, well manicured vineyard estate, and I was staying in a spacious, well appointed, modern loft. The sleeping area has a vaulted ceiling you wouldn’t be able to tell from photos. Though the kitchen and dining space are on a split level up, moving about the unit was very comfortable. (I have a severe thing against slanted ceilings, but this was barely noticeable and made zero impact on our stay. The photos could make it seem otherwise.) The bathroom is very spacious and high end, loved everything about it. The deck was one of my favorite things, my wife and I loved sitting, drinking our coffee and listening to the fountains on the pond in the distance. The view of the vineyard was so serene, the peace and quiet was a great recharge after busy days of adventuring in OKC. The hot tub helped too. Linda, the hostess with the mostest, is a super cool human and was awesome to get to know. Not everyone wants to interact during their getaway, and she would totally respect that. She was our kind of person, hysterical and friendly. She was available and responsive to communication and answered any questions we had. 10/10 will recommend to friends if they ever travel to the OKC area!"

The owners live on property and are available in emergencies. If you need to reach us, we are available via text. We live on 10 acres and that leads to having various projects going on at any given time. The most common maintenance that you could hear or see would be us trimming trees, mowing the yards, cleaning the pond, and tending to our garden. If we have time, we are happy to interact, but we also know some people just need respite and we respect this desire for privacy.

Mountain View Park Neighborhood: This neighborhood is historic and on private roads. We boast towering cedar and oak trees, abundant wildlife, and great walking trails. It's the only neighborhood with wooded acreage 1 mile from the highway i-35 and so close to all the amenities in town and the lake. There is simply no other neighborhood of its kind in all of Edmond. Be surrounded by nature, yet right next to the City. We also provide all the information on the history of the historic neighborhood in our guestbook.

We are 1 mile from the highway, 1 mile from Lake Arcadia boat ramps and beaches, 3 miles from University of Central Oklahoma, 20 minutes from downtown OKC, 10 minutes from downtown Edmond, and close to all the eateries, movie theaters, bowling, bakeries, grocery stores, etc.

You will have access to the entire house minus the cleaning closet. You will also have access to our Koi pond, kids playhouse and the surrounding area of the house. 4 parking spots within our gates are available to you.

Downstairs: The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook any meal. There is a large island for prepping meals. A bar for eating, 2 living areas, 1 dining table for four, 1 fireplace, and a unique Japanese soaking tub are all accessible downstairs.
Upstairs: a spiral staircase leads to an open loft with 1 king and 1 queen. It has a private bathroom and shower.
Outside: 1 table that seats 4 is located on the front porch, one covered outdoor living area on the back porch and one charcoal grill.

We are 25 minutes from Will Rogers International Airport and 1 mile from Lake Arcadia. We have free parking for 4 cars and are 3 minutes from I-35. We are available to make recommendations for any activities you may be interested in doing. We have created a guidebook for you to check out before and during your stay. The Gate House was built in 1940's and has been remodeled with unique features, all while maintaining its historic charm. From the native cedar spiral staircase, to the peaceful outdoor space, to the one of a kind hospitality- it is the ONLY Cabin of its kind in OKC/Edmond/Central Oklahoma.

A few things to note about our Cabin:

*The loft is open. We have two beds in the loft that are on opposite ends of the loft. The king size bed does have a wall and door for privacy. The Loft spans the entire length of the house, the queen bed is open in the loft area and the king bed has a door that can be locked. The beds are not side by side; they are in separate rooms. If you are traveling with another couple, please note that the queen bed is open in the loft, the king bed is in a room with a door that can be closed.

*There is a spiral staircase built out of all native cedar lumber taken from the property. The staircase leads to the open loft and requires coordination and strength to carry luggage up the stairs. All rooms are upstairs, so it is imperative for guests to be able to navigate a spiral staircase.

*We also have a Japanese soaking tub in the downstairs bathroom. This bathtub is not a typical bathtub. It requires stepping up two steps and then stepping down into the tub. It is only meant for soaking and not meant for showering. And again, it could be harder to enjoy if you struggle with walking up or down steps. This is not the only bathroom, we also have a bathroom upstairs with a shower.

We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations due to acts of God, pandemics, weather conditions, or medical emergencies. Upstairs you can find another sizable bathroom, with a large shower and double vanity sinks. Conveniently located next to the bathroom is a large Queen bedroom. Down the hall there are 2 more rooms, one with a Queen sized bed and the other with 2 twin beds and a sofa. Pool, arcade game and TV room is also upstairs.

- "Our family was unable to get in the property. After driving 4 hours with 3 kids we arrived at 945pm. We received instructions to enter and they were not correct. After repeatedly texting, calling, messaging, and ring camera attempts we finally gave up after 45 mins. We ended up going to a hotel. The “host” finally responded at 11:15pm with a generic text repeating the exact same instructions on how to get in. It was almost like a copy and paste. A management company finally called me at 1am representing the host. Absolutely the worst experience. I ended up contacting VRBO directly. VRBO was very understanding and reviewed my case. The VRBO representative was great to deal, responsive and very apologetic. They reviewed all the calls and texts between the host & myself. I did end up getting a refund from VRBO. The house the next day was back on as available with a new “host”"

Our home is a clean, comfortable & cozy space with a cottage feel nestled in a quiet beautiful north OKC suburb.
It offers a privacy fenced back yard where you can sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening beverage as you wind down after a busy day.
The space is decorated with a mix of cottage and beach influenced art and hand made pieces. The private bath is off your suite just outside your bedroom. You will only share this space on the occasions we open up our second guest bedroom for booking.
We are pet friendly with 2 rescue dogs and will do whatever we can to make your furry friend feel right at home!

Our guests will have wifi access and a Queen Sleep Number bed which can be adjusted individually on each side, nightstand with drawer space, a closet with additional storage and a desk. There is a private bath with shower adjacent to the bedroom. (Bathroom will only be shared if we have a guest in our other room.) Towels and toiletries are provided with a spare toothbrush should you leave yours behind. Bottled water, herbal teas and coffee provided for our guests daily. LIMITED kitchen access is available with use of microwave and coffee maker.
There is a laundry mat 2 miles away.

During your stay
We work in and out of the home however can and will interact as much or as little as our guests need. We are home some on weekends and happy to help with recommendations on local eateries and nightlife. He is a native Oklahoman and I am originally from Arkansas and have lived here 12 years. We have one small rescue dog named Miles who is still learning how to be a real dog and a rescue named Dolly. We have a 17 year old son who is here every other week and weekend. He is very polite and loves meeting new people. We enjoy our city and the surrounding areas and hope you do as well.

We are a pet friendly Airbnb home. We charge an additional $10/night for pets. Before booking guests will need to add pets as an extra guest. There is one large laundry room that is shared on a schedule by guests in both this property and the adjacent studio apartment. It is reserved from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m every day for our housekeeping staff. The main home has use of this laundry room anytime (except for reserved housekeeping hours) on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. The studio guest has access Tues, Thurs, and Sat, (other than during housekeeping hrs.)

Guest access
Nightly rental includes APARTMENT ONLY, with laundry room accessible on Tues, Thurs, Sat, except for 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and one covered parking space under the carport. There is additional street parking.

Please be respectful of our neighbors. This is a lovely historic area-quiet and peaceful-where neighbors are close friends and take good care of each other. Please note this home DOES NOT ALLOW smoking, pets, or parties. Neither open carry nor smoking are allowed anywhere on the premises. Thank you!

Guests will have private access to the entire studio. The connecting door to upstairs has been secured. The back patio is dedicated to the studio but is open to the property/ yard which is a shared space.

Master bedroom has a king-size Serta perfect sleeper mattress, tile walk in shower, large closet, and sliding glass doors out to back patio.
