- "Our stay was fine. The property is just beautiful and it was so nice to be able to walk our dog around among the tall trees. Room was large, the jacuzzi tub was amazing. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and on time. Staff were friendly and very understanding as we had some issues with our card processing. The mattress and sheets were soooooo soft. The room had a nice ambiance with coffee maker, dishes, ect. Overall the room was ok, it is definitely a little worn. There were some holes in the walls, missing paint, some light bulbs burned out, the window blinds had no way to open or close them to let in light, both were missing the stick thing that you twist to control them, and hard to pull up and down. The pillows were very hard, super uncomfortable. And the room was VERY clean except one area which was the inside door/ handle to the room. It was very dirty. Overall I would say this is a nice quiet, place but for the price I would consider elsewhere, unless they fixed the things above."

- "This train caboose was renovated into a perfect place for a quiet retreat. The interior of the unit was in great condition, containing a mix of modern amenities along with the historic hardware and feel of the original caboose. The hosts provided everything that you might need and more including toiletries, dishes, coffee, Wi-Fi, two TVs, and even some prepared heat and serve meals if you are not in the mood to leave. There were some great train books to browse through and even a classic ink bottle and old-style pens with paper to practice your skills at writing in the classical way. The bathroom was very unique but fully equipped with everything that you need, including a shower! The hosts were very responsive and perfectly respected our wishes regarding their dog, Duke. Be aware that you must climb a few stairs to enjoy this unit but the climb is well worth it, especially when sitting in the upper areas to look out the top windows or to play the retro Nintendo! Overall, a fantastic experience and would highly recommend it to others. It would also be a great venue for a group gathering in the large outside yard which was also nicely decorated with railroad and other old-style artifacts."

Please no swimming in the pond only let your dog drink the pond water at your own risk. It is pond water.

- "The house felt clean. Sufficient cooking supplies. Nice to have a full size couch although there is duct tape on the arms of it to cover the holes. There is no window coverings in the master bathroom. Although not a huge deal since it’s woods behind the house but if someone was in the backyard you can see into the master bath. Stayed for the weekend. Clean and convenient. I emailed the manager about an issue and she responded promptly. That was much appreciated"

Duke, a German Shepherd lives at the main house. He is very friendly and loves to play fetch. He can be kept indoors while guests are on site if need be. Please coordinate with host and/or co-host about your comfortability with Duke's presence.

There is a full kitchen, newly refurbished, with a brand new gas stove, a microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, slow cooker (crock pot) and a full sized refrigerator. There are not laundry facilities in the rental, however for longer rentals (greater than 7 days), host will arrange access to washer/dryer in main home.

Guests have access to entire half of the duplex, may use front porch at all times, back patio with prior arrangement, laundry facilities in main home with prior arrangement and storm shelter in main home during storms.

Basic shopping and dining are available 3 miles away, across "the bridge" in Purcell. More extensive shopping, dining, and all OU activities are available in Norman. Host lives in Lexington and works in Norman, it's that quick and easy.

Other things to note
For guests staying for a week or more, we make arrangements for you to use the washer and dryer in our home, so laundry facilities are available to you.

If you would like to use the patio or backyard, please let us know and we will prepare it for you and make sure to bring our dogs inside.

Other things to note
If you love quiet and have extended family, this is the perfect place. We are also only 25 minutes from OU. If you want to stay for an athletic event for a weekend, we are in the perfect place. Also, there is a winery only 10 minutes away and the ‘Heart of Oklahoma’ is only 10 minutes away.

The kitchen is fully stocked! Crockpot, baking sheets, casserole dishes, mixer, blender and utensils.

There is plenty of outdoor sitting, with a bar and tv, plus pool seating on the deck. There is also a playground. There is a double size bed porch swing. It is perfect for both, sunrises and sunsets.
