This 900 square foot apartment was fully renovated in September of 2020 It is located on the river side and is a walkout basement apartment in a property with the separate upstairs being another rental unit on the coast of Groton with a view of the Thames River right out the front window!

The apartment features modern furnishings and appliances, vinyl floors, 2 wall-mounted TV's, air conditioner, 2 queen beds, in the bedroom, and one queen in the living room, and a air mattress

The kitchen features a full-size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave along with all of the necessary dishes, glassware and utensils you will need. The kitchen is also appointed with counter top appliances such as a toaster, coffee machine, rice cooker, and a stir fry steamer.

Clean linens and towels, coffee, tea, soap, shampoo and paper products are provided to all guests.

This in law unit has another VRBO unit upstairs. We ask that all guests enjoy themselves but be respectful of their neighbors. We have taken as many sound-proofing measures as possible between floors and units, but noise may occasionally be heard as in any multi-unit building. Private 2 bedroom apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood on the third floor of my home.
Comfortable for several people with a full kitchen and large living space in addition to 2 spacious bedrooms and one bathroom. There’s a little over 900 square feet of space. The back bedroom has a queen size bed with lots of room to spare. The front room has a queen size bed and a full size bed. The couch in the living room is super comfy for sleeping and the queen size air mattress will fit in either bedroom or even the living room. So you could fit up to 8 people if you really wanted to. We regularly host 6 people and everyone has been happy.

- "We rent a house for a family gathering each year. When I asked my wife and children to compare this year’s rental, they all agreed that this year was at the top of the list. The house itself was so comfortable, and the location was ideal. We took advantage of the proximity of the beach, the opportunity to rent kayaks, and the varied activities of the Mystic Seaport and aquarium. The rental house was in excellent condition, and the owner supplied everything that we needed to make our trip successful. She responded quickly to any questions that we had. One thing that renters should know is that there are strict rules about outdoor gatherings in the evenings. This was not a major problem for us, but if you want to sit around the campfire, be forewarned that you are expected to be inside the house no later than 9:00 PM. All in all, this was a great house in a great location."

There is also a futon that can fold out and fit one-split the kids up if you desire they'll thank you for it! Bed linens and pillows are available for all beds. The kitchen is full sized and has all standard amenities. You can also enjoy your meals outside on the patio with a view of the yard where you can relax and enjoy the wild animals that often shows up in the yard (deer, turkey, squirrels, rabbits etc!)

Although we couldn’t be outside as much as we wanted due to a couple rainy days, there’s tables in the backyard to eat or play games, a fire pit with lounge chairs/wood, corn hole, bicycles, and a grill. One last thing…Double bonus that I don’t believe was mentioned in the description but is close to my heart… his house is not only charming, but it’s also handicap accessible!!! ♥️♥️ So don’t be nervous about bringing your elderly parents or family member in a wheelchair!! Host did NOT provide the code to the backdoor! Back yard was OFF LIMITS, per host.Because, there were 5 dogs in rusty old crates, INSIDE a shed in the back yard. No a/c, no food, no water for the dogs. Host "claimed" I ripped her bedroom screen and tried to charge me a damage fee. NOT TRUE!"

- "Was a great time ." - "We were visiting my daughter’s school for the weekend so the location of the apartment was very convenient because it was a very quick drive. The location however was near a depot where the local sanitation company keeps its trucks, which meant you would hear the trucks leaving the depot very early in the morning (probably around 5 am). However, it is manageable with a pair of earplugs. The shower itself was pretty tight as previously described in other reviews, but it was fine for us. Bedrooms were roomy and bathroom and kitchen was well stocked with all essentials."
