This house has been beautifully updated with hardwood floors throughout. All of the appliances, beds, mattresses and couches are newer. There are 2 outdoor showers, a large patio with a Weber grill and patio furniture to relax on. We have at your disposal, 14 beach bikes, beach chairs & umbrellas. The house is conveniently located midway between the beach and downtown shopping in Manasquan. Beach passes are included. The home has been professionally decorated. This house is open, spacious and very clean. All our visitors return. We have added a fifth bedroom with a vaulted ceiling & a half bath.

This cottage is close enough to the beach that you will walk back for a drink or to use the bathroom! When we had infants the convenience to walk back to change a diaper or get a fresh bottle was the best thing about it. You will love the cedar outdoor shower, the classic pine floors, the under-counter ice machine, central air, and stainless steel grill, and outdoor deck that catches the last of the setting sun. This house is truly the perfect beach cottage - the pictures tell the story!

It was the perfect size for my family of 5. Communication was easy and Marilyn is a great host. The house has everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The washer/dryer was key and we used it daily. There are air conditioning units in each room and 2 smart tvs. Marilyn provided us with beach passes for our whole family so that saved us $40 a day! Getting to the beach was easy and only a minute walk. It’s also close to shopping and restaurants, also walkable. Other Things to Note:
Our unit is on the top level. To enter, you simply walk to the front door to on right of the building. Punch in the code and walk up the stairs to unit 2.

Please know that you will be asked to sign a check-in form and rental agreement that outlines the terms of your reservation!

All supplies are provided in moderation; the number of each supply on-site is what we provide, and you may need to purchase more for the duration of your stay. If you want additional supplies during your stay, you will be responsible for bringing or obtaining extra.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, toaster, blender, pots and pans, mixing bowls, salt & pepper, coffee maker and filters etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, utensils etc.

**We also do not provide beach essentials such as beach chairs, towels, or umbrellas.

HOUSE RULES:
A copy of the house rules are posted at each home. Failure to comply with the house rules may result in immediate eviction without refund:

GENERAL:
Quiet time is from 10:00PM to 7:00AM every day. Please be considerate of your neighbors and keep music, loud voices, and shenanigans down to a minimum!
No prom groups
No bachelor parties
No more than 4 guests (You CANNOT allow anyone outside of the booking party to stay at the house.)
No smoking; If ANY sign of smoking is found in the home, the security deposit is automatically forfeited along with additional cleaning costs to be incurred by the renter.
If we are made aware that there are more guests than the agreed upon number, guests will be immediately subject to eviction.

SMOKING POLICY:
Our home is non-smoking. If smoking outside, please smoke away from the house, not on the deck or patios. Cigarette butts need to be kept in a container and disposed of properly. There will be a $100 charge for any butts found outside on the ground that the cleaners have to pick up and a $200 charge for evidence of smoking inside our home.

PET POLICY:
We do not allow pets here, sorry! There will be a $300 fee for failure to notify us of a pet present in the property.

CLEANING POLICY:
If any excessive cleaning is needed subsequent to your departure (stained rugs, clogged sinks, excessive pet shed/mess, excessive garbage left around the home, stench, etc) There will be an excessive cleaning fee of up to $700 depending on the offense.

CHECK-IN:
Check in time is 4:00 pm. You may request an early check in 48 hours before your arrival. No early check-ins between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Upon arrival please inspect the house carefully and report any unsatisfactory condition to the rental manager immediately. Failure to report means you accept the house “as is”. To report any items please contact us immediately with any issues.

CHECK OUT:
Check out time is strictly 10:00 am. We allow late checkouts for a $125 fee. Failure to pay this fee with a late check out will result in an automatic charge of 1 extra day stay (amount differs per property but is a minimum of $125.00). If housekeeping arrives prior to your departure and has to leave and come back there will be an automatic charge of $100.

- "The property is exactly as described. Looks like it has been newly renovated with new furniture. The beds are comfy, a nice welcome for a restful sleep after being outdoors on the beach all day. The kitchen is fully stocked as is the coffee machine. Also, included some tea options which was a perfect way to warm up after walking the beach. The hosts are very responsive to questions and very accommodating, before and during the stay, even provided an outdoor grill in the off season. We did not end up grilling as it was too cold and windy during our stay. While the unit is steps from the beach there is a house behind the unit that you will need to pass to get to the beach. Once on the beach it is beautiful and restful. Enjoyed our short stay!"

- Quite literally steps to the beach! In a quieter part of the city, please be considerate of your neighbors. The property is still located in a city environment; potential for noise from cars.

The Neighborhood:
Manasquan Beach is one of the top rated private beaches on the coastline. Access this beach oasis via a 10 second walk to the beach via our private walkway outside the backdoor. This quiet neighborhood combines shore vacation homes, friendly locals and vacationers looking for a peaceful & family oriented getaway. For food and fun when you're done with a long day in the sun, head on over to Gee Gee's for classic American cuisine, Leggets Sand Bar for some live music, or First Ave Pizza for a quick slice - all within waling distance!

Other Things to Note:
Our unit is on the ground level. To enter, you simply walk right to the front door to the left when facing the front. Our back door leads directly to the private walkway onto the beach front and beach!

Please know that you will be asked to sign a check-in form and rental agreement that outlines the terms of your reservation!

All supplies are provided in moderation; the number of each supply on-site is what we provide, and you may need to purchase more for the duration of your stay. If you want additional supplies during your stay, you will be responsible for bringing or obtaining extra. Here is the list of what is provided per stay:

One roll of paper towels and a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom (plus 1 extra) are provided. You will need to provide your own for the rest of your stay.

Dish soap, hand soap and laundry soap (where applicable) will be provided in moderation – You may need to purchase more for the rest of your stay.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, toaster, blender, pots and pans, mixing bowls, salt & pepper, coffee maker and filters etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, utensils etc.

**We also do not provide beach essentials such as beach chairs, towels, or umbrellas.

HOUSE RULES:
A copy of the house rules are posted at each home. Failure to comply with the house rules may result in immediate eviction without refund:

GENERAL:
Quiet time is from 10:00PM to 7:00AM every day. Please be considerate of your neighbors and keep music, loud voices, and shenanigans down to a minimum!
No prom groups
No bachelor parties
No more than 4 guests (You CANNOT allow anyone outside of the booking party to stay at the house.)
No smoking; If ANY sign of smoking is found in the home, the security deposit is automatically forfeited along with additional cleaning costs to be incurred by the renter.
If we are made aware that there are more guests than the agreed upon number, guests will be immediately subject to eviction.

SMOKING POLICY:
Our home is non-smoking. If smoking outside, please smoke away from the house, not on the deck or patios. Cigarette butts need to be kept in a container and disposed of properly. There will be a $100 charge for any butts found outside on the ground that the cleaners have to pick up and a $200 charge for evidence of smoking inside our home.

PET POLICY:
We do not allow pets here, sorry! There will be a $300 fee for failure to notify us of a pet present in the property.

CLEANING POLICY:
If any excessive cleaning is needed subsequent to your departure (stained rugs, clogged sinks, excessive pet shed/mess, excessive garbage left around the home, stench, etc) There will be an excessive cleaning fee of up to $700 depending on the offense.

CHECK-IN:
Check in time is 4:00 pm. You may request an early check in 48 hours before your arrival. No early check-ins between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Upon arrival please inspect the house carefully and report any unsatisfactory condition to the rental manager immediately. Failure to report means you accept the house “as is”. To report any items please contact us immediately with any issues.

CHECK OUT:
Check out time is strictly 10:00 am. We allow late checkouts for a $125 fee. Failure to pay this fee with a late check out will result in an automatic charge of 1 extra day stay (amount differs per property but is a minimum of $125.00). If housekeeping arrives prior to your departure and has to leave and come back there will be an automatic charge of $100.

The Roku/Netflix streaming was available but offered no local news so we felt a little out of touch during our 2 week stay. We were able to enjoy all of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, and found shopping, banking, laundry services and lots of great restaurants very nearby. We were in NJ during some terrible, stormy weather, where many local areas flooded, which was why it was a good idea to rent a little bit more inland and at a higher elevation. This is a very big deal, when the folks at the beaches start evacuating, you are warm and safe with no need to relocate. I would definitely recommend this rental with one reservation. The apartment is new but the building is old and musty. We have allergies and had a terrible time with all of the mold and mildew- all of our possessions came home smelling musty so be forewarned. Of course, EVERY hotel in the area is older and musty- it's part of being at the shore. The price of this rental and the accommodations available greatly outweigh any inconveniences- just pray for sunnier, dryer weather."

- "We had a lovely stay at this apartment. As a mature couple, we would rather be away from the crowds with some privacy and solitude worked into our vacations. The apartment was pristine and everything very clean and new. The host was very accommodating and communicative. The house is nestled in a wooded area but in a nice neighborhood and a heartbeat away from shopping. The distance to the beaches is very short and very easy. We have accounts to various streaming services like Netflix and Hulu so that was perfect for us. Note that the TV is in the kitchen / living room area, which really is what we prefer rather than having one in the bedroom. The apartment has a separate entrance in the back and has access to a nice porch area with seating for chit chat in the evening. I believe there might have been another renter, but we didn’t even cross paths. We were also able to bike ride around the area, everyone was so friendly! Oh did I mention how comfortable the bed was?
