If you don't just want to sit around you can shoot a game of pool on a slate top table, play a game of foosball, or get involved with a game of ping pong. Enjoy the convenience of more amenities like Hot Tub, AC/heat, 2 sets washers/dryers, WiFi, gas grill, hair dryer and an iron. Come and enjoy yourself in our semi-detached cottage during your stay in the heart of Amish country. Located close to everything while still being on a quiet street. Enjoy your morning coffee on our newly constructed covered deck located at the back of the house or take a quick walk down the street and allow the Bluegate Restaurant to make it for you. We are close to multiple playgrounds, miles of beautiful paved walking and biking paths, downtown shops and of course the flea market. There is a full service kitchen including a replica vintage stove. The master bedroom is located on the main floor off of the kitchen diner. It contains a queen bed and en-suite with both a shower and stand alone tub. While located on the first floor the master bedroom does a have a slight 2" step up. The second bathroom can be found at the bottom of the stairs just off of the living room. There is a queen bed hidden in the sofa. Up the stairs you will find bedroom #2 with a double bed and bedroom #3 with 2 twin beds. While these bedrooms are not connected with the central air system, each room has a window a/c to make sure that everyone sleeps comfortably even on the hottest night. Through the kitchen we have a recently renovated laundry room.

- "First off Jessica is a very sweet hostess, there was only 2 things that we did not like the house is so cute but the thermostat for the air was not working right would not shut the air off we had to turn it off completely. 2nd is they were working on the road digging and that was not her fault but they started at 6 in the morning and it woke us up everyday we were there. Jessica knows about the thermostat and she said they will fix that the road work will be done soon and i would stay there again in the future walking distance to town."

Enjoy our cozy, lake front cottage on Stone Lake. You are just off the I 80/90 toll road at exit 107. Water activities include canoeing, fishing, swimming. Lots of lakes in the area, but Stone Lake delivers the best water quality and our view delivers beautiful sunsets.

5 miles to Shipshewana, home of lots of Amish points of interest. Less than 5 miles to access of area wide bike path that connects to Pumpkin Vine bike path. We have bike riders stay just for that reason, and then relax by the lake after a day of riding.

For summer rentals, swimming area with a nice sandy bottom and Shore Station pier to enjoy the lake. Fabulous shopping in the Amish community with the famous Shipshewana Flea Market less than ten minutes away. Boat rentals available with a pontoon kayaks canoe and paddle boat

For winter rentals multiple month terms available inquire for special rates. Winter sports in the area like skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, ice fishing.

We are only a half hour from Notre Dame, perfect for game days or campus visits.

This cottage is wonderful for getaways and all season enjoyment. You may bring your boat or our fishing boat, kayak and canoe are available to rent. Fish in both Stone Lake and Mud Lake with easy access from the new public boat ramp. Fishing from our dock is easy and safe for the whole family. Kids love catching bluegill, perch, bass and catfish anytime.

The huge front deck is a great spot for evening sunsets. Awesome view of the lake from living room and master bedroom windows. Beautiful front and back yard with lots of room for games and kiddos to play. Cottage is well maintained, clean, cute and comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need. Lake community is very friendly. Washer/dryer, gas grill for your use. TVs in both living room and master with VCR and DVD. Central air and ceiling fans throughout. WiFi available is included. Central air and gas furnace keep the house cool and cozy.

Sleeps 9 with 2 bedrooms and loft. Towels and linens provided. Gas grill right outside on back patio. Fire pit available on the beach.

- "Attention to detail was appreciated Washer/dryer on-site was so convenient" - "We spent a week at this cozy cabin and it felt like going home to mom's. Very clean, well supplied in all ways, close to local activities, great porch for rain or shine, and beautiful sunsets! Kitchen is supplied with everything you need, including sharp knives! The cabin is not large but there is plenty of space for everything we brought for our own convenience. There are new stainless kitchen appliances and a new washer and dryer. We only used the master bedroom and can say it slept mighty good. David was awesome to work with and promptly answered our questions. Upon leaving, he asked for input to improve the place. Only thing I could come up with is that more washcloths would be helpful, the water is very soft so a bathmat and handicap bar would be safer and the loft stairs may be a bit challenging for for old folks like us. The place is just plain great! We hit the sights in Middlebury and Shipsee but also the Rise N Roll Bakery and dinner with friends at Jay Walkers, at David's suggestion. (Menu is in the basket} Recommend it all! Steaks and peppered bacon from Yoder's Meat and Cheese were great hits, too!"

- "This is a beautiful, updated property. This guest house has great beds & plenty of space to move around inside & out. The shower worked great & furniture was very comfortable. Very beautifully decorated and one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. The owners were responsive & friendly. There is no air-conditioning, but to be fair, the discription did not list AC. The fans worked well & were very quiet. The guest house was a bit close to the owners home & the road. I did not expect this based on the pictures of the home. We enjoyed our stay & highly recommend this property. Thank you."

- "We were at LaGrange for our granddaughters 6th birthday. The stay was perfect to Reconnect as a family and enjoy what the area has to offer. Just what we needed." - "The farmhouse was perfect for our few days in Indiana, centrally located to other activities we were involved in during our visit. The owners of the property were so gracious to us, they have a beautiful farm and the milk they produce is delicious, even flavored! Landscaping is gorgeous!"

Unplug from the outside world ! No TV, wifi or internet makes this place a Haven of rest, relax and rejuvenate. Inside it looks a bit like my amish gramma's house did, very plain and simple, with more modern conveniences then my Gramma had back in her days !! Only sounds are the songbird, neighborhood children's laughter and the clip clop of horse and buggy. Watch the orioles and hummingbirds from the front porch ! Sit around the fire pit on the back patio or backyard. Feel the peace and quiet of a country, while being right outside ( 3 min) the town of Shipshewana.

A storm took a few of our favorite pine trees, we ask that you'll excuse the mess, we are waiting to get the tree stumps removed and more trees planted.

We have big back yard for children to run & play. Board games, Dominoes, Racko, Marble Board game.

Jason, a young Amish guy, the property manager/maintenance, resides in the basement. He keeps to himself, but if you happen to see him doing yardwork, feel free to have a chat with him, otherwise he will stay to himself. He has his own private entrances.

Pumpkinvine Bike trail is 1 mile from this house.

Blue Gate Theater and Concert is 3-5 min .

Flea market every Tuesday and Wednesday

4-5 min from MEC Center, go the back roads & by pass town.

- "The house was very clean and the host was very welcoming. Unfortunately, she was out of town and we missed out on meeting her! We enjoyed the back patio!" - "We chose this property because it fit the needs of two couples but we were so pleasantly surprised. The house was wonderful! It was clean and spacious. The kitchen was large and well equipped. Our mattress was just perfect! My favorite part was the front porch. I was surprised to find that even though we were in a residential neighborhood there were Amish all around us, on Sunday even holding an outdoor church service just down the road. I could sit on the porch and watch buggies and bikes all day! Just perfect! Also, Miriam was very responsive and sweet!"

- "We were very happy with our stay. While the property looked like a cabin from the outside, it was very modern on the inside. It was furnished very nicely and the kitchen had all the dishes and utensils that we needed. The cabin is located on a main street in Shipshewana where many, many Amish residents pass by in their buggies. Our favorite pastime was sitting on the front porch and hearing the clip clop of distant horses hooves and waiting for them to pass by pulling a carriage. We will definitely request this cabin on future trips to Shipshewana"
