Our lovely 1+ bedroom, 2-level walk-out cottage backs up to prime Minneapolis William Berry Park and is located just 800 feet from the shore of beautiful Lake Harriet.

This unit is 2 blocks to Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet. Only blocks from downtown Linden Hills which is a very upscale/artsy community of Minneapolis. You can explore great shops and restaurants. The unit itself is large, updated but still has the charm of a 1920's building. It is a 4-plex and this unit is on the main level. 2 bedrooms with comfy gel queen mattresses. Nice large L shaped couch with 50" HDTV and 144 channels. Formal dining room and fully-stocked kitchen. Watch your team win while exploring what Minnesota has to offer.

My place is located in the Beautiful area of Tangletown in Minneapolis. It is a quiet neighborhood that is close to everything – 10 minutes to the airport, downtown, and MOA. It is walking distance to Wise Acre restaurant, Tangletown Gardens, and other restaurants/bars. Half a block to public transport and bike trails. It is a comfy, two bedroom one bath unit on the top floor with high-speed Internet and Roku TV. Tons of charm built in the 1920s with modern amenities. We provide two retractable bikes that you can bike to Pav that go around three lakes in Minnehaha Creek.

The Space:
NEWLY AVAILABLE! Check out our other reviews as a SuperHost & you will not be disappointed. As you enter the 5 unit building, you will walk up a half flight of stairs to your gorgeous condo. It has sunlight coming in on three sides including southern light that streams into the living room and full eastern sunlight that fills the sitting room, dining room, kitchen, and both bedrooms.

When you enter the unit, it features a peaceful sitting room or reading space - complete with a full size desk for when you need to buckle down and work. There is fiber optic internet and an extremely strong Wi-Fi signal throughout the condo. The living room features a large comfy couch and chair along with large TV that features live television from Hulu as well as movies and shows from Netflix and Amazon Prime. The dining room features seating for six adults and there is also additional breakfast bar seating in the kitchen. There is a very large coat and storage closet for your luggage located directly next to the dining room. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and features all the utensils, plates, and cookware you could need including a toaster, blender, and mixing bowls. There is also a wonderful coffee, tea, and wine bar that features a nice selection of fresh coffee beans and teas to use in either the drip coffee maker, the tea kettle, or the French Press.

Down the hallway there you will first encounter a bedroom that features a bunk bed that has a full sized bed on the bottom and a twin sized mattress on the top bunk. Continuing down the hallway there is a primary bedroom that features loads of sunlight, a very large closet, and a super comfortable king size bed. There is also a well appointed full bathroom with plenty of extra towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is also a washer/dryer that is just outside the hallway which is shared with the unit across the hall. It is very rare for this washer/dryer to be in use by someone else in the building, but in the off chance that it is, there is another washer/dryer just one flight below the unit that can also be used during your stay.

Finally, the backyard is also available for guests to use during their stay. There is a large yard for playing catch or for relaxing in a lawn chair on when the weather is nice. It is a very peaceful space.

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the home as well as the backyard area. There is ample free street parking. The garage is currently closed to guests as we are using it for storage purposes. This is a small 5 unit condo building, so there is a possibility that other guests may be staying in the other units within the building, but we have never had a noise complaint as it is very quiet. You will not be disappointed in your choice to stay with us while in the Twin Cities!

The Neighborhood:
Named for the abundance of linden trees and the area's gentle hills, and widely known as Minneapolis's nicest neighborhood, the Linden Hills community is also anchored by two of the region's most beautiful lakes: Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska. Our home is located just a few blocks walk away from Lake Harriet and the numerous biking and walking trails around Minneapolis's Grand Rounds Scenic Bikeway. Known today as the ideal in urban living with a small town charm, there are numerous high-end restaurants and shops within walking distance or a short drive. Bus transit is located just a half a block away too.

Nearly 3 miles of pedestrian and bike trails circle the perimeter of nearby Lake Harriet and pass some of the city’s most stunning homes. No matter where you’re at on the lake, it’s hard to miss the castle-like Band Shell, complete with turrets. Here, you’ll find a full lineup of free concerts and movies through the summer, plus sunrise yoga facing the lake every morning from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

During warmer weather, lounge on three beaches, get active on the soccer and softball fields or sand volleyball court, and rent bikes—in addition to canoes, kayaks and paddle boats—through Wheel Fun Rentals.

As the chill sets in and the lake freezes over, the area continues to draw outdoor enthusiasts even on the coldest days. You may spot people ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowkiting, and skijoring across the frozen surface. Each February, the sky above the lake is festooned with a rainbow of kites both large and small during the annual Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival.

Located just 1 block east of a primary road (Xerxes Avenue), it is very easy to get to the home from several freeways and multiple major arteries. There is a bus stop located just 1/2 a block to the west on Xerxes Avenue that will take you basically anywhere in the Twin Cities. We are located approximately 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and approximately 20 minutes from the airport.

There is a reserved parking spot in the back of the property as well as street parking.

The check-in process is simple and convenient by entering the code provided 24 hours before check-in on the key box above the doorbell. This will grant you access to the key to the front door.

Located in the Armatage Neighborhood, this up-and-coming and highly desired location is perfect for sightseeing, trying new restaurants, and enjoying the great outdoors. You can bike to Lake Harriet or have a walk along Minnehaha Falls to take in a natural beauty or grab a bite to eat at tasty pizzerias featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives!

Getting Around:
Getting around Minneapolis is fairly easy to explore. There is ample parking in the city if you decide to bring your vehicle or rent a car, and rideshare options are almost always readily available. The metro buses and light rails are another great choice as they connect with major spots like downtown and the airport. For those who prefer a more active method of transportation, pedestrians, and bicyclists will have no trouble navigating the city and can utilize the many bike lanes and walkable areas.

We stayed for the month of October, with gorgeous fall colors and the beautiful lake just steps away. It's an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of quaint Linden Hills - the neighborhood is beautiful! The bedding and mattress are very comfortable - always kind of luck-of-the-draw with rentals- so we were very happy with that. The apt is clean and bright, plenty of windows, tastefully put together, and all you need to live away from home. There is a 2nd bedroom one flight up from the outside door, then a 2nd flight of stairs to the main apt. No problem for us, jsut be aware. We would love to stay here again!"

The space
This is the second floor of a three story home in South Minneapolis. Hosts live in the house but mostly keep to their master suite on the third floor. The bedroom has a queen size bed in it. Other bedrooms on the floor are available if you need space for more guests. The kitchen is shared with hosts, but they hardly use it. You have access to the living room, and dining room as well and are welcome to host an evening (inside or outside). We are very friendly and easy going people that want you to enjoy your stay in our casa. We have experience helping guests navigate a new city, language and truly enjoy the experience.

Please enjoy our back yard space as well. Grill, fire pits, garden, outdoor patio and furniture are for you to use. Screened in front porch keeps the mosquitos away.

During your stay
We mostly keep to ourselves, but are happy to answer all of your questions. Occasionally we have company over to share our beautiful back yard space and your are invited to join us, but we would always respect our guests' request for privacy. We take our cue from our guests and are easy to get along with. We have had guests stay with us anywhere from two days to seven months. We are so close to everything Minneapolis has to offer lakes, Mall of America, theaters and Uptown.

Other things to note
We have two indoor/outdoor cats. They are quiet and keep to themselves (like us).

We live on the best block with friendly neighbors and lots of children playing outdoors.

The South Studio features a Twin bed, private work space, and closet. You’ll also have access to an open kitchen, and bathroom. Common spaces are cleaned and tidied regularly. Free parking can be found on surrounding residential streets, and you’ll have access to free bike racks. In the warmer months, you’re welcome to enjoy our spacious backyard patio, situated next to community gardens.

My place is close to family-friendly activities and nightlife. I'm on two different bus lines and all you have to do is walk across the street to catch one. One bus line will take you downtown for an easy commute for business or going to the new US Bank Stadium for an exciting football game or a concert. The airport is easy to get to with a bus ride to the light rail and out to the airport. I'm convenient to lakes, fabulous food, nightlife and bike lanes are right outside my door.

The space
Comfy well lived in home that has a story to tell. This house was built in 1908 and has 4 stories. Has some old charm to it with a built-in buffet and stained glass windows and natural woodwork throughout along with wood floors that creak as you would expect. Ceiling fans with lighting are in the common areas and also in your bedroom. In your bedroom there is also a smaller table top fan if you enjoy that white noise and a cool breeze for sleeping.

Guest access
You can enjoy a relaxing bedroom with a full size bed and ceiling fan. In your room you will find snacks and waters, so please help yourself. I've also included an assortments of toiletries in the bathroom just in case you forgot something. We will be sharing a spacious bathroom that has an old claw foot tub with a shower. You are more than welcome to use the kitchen and all that comes with it. Make yourself comfortable on the deck while relaxing. In the dining room is a coffee maker (I usually try to have a few selections of coffee available) and tea. Also in the dining room is a small fridge you can use during your stay. You are more than welcome to use the living room. I offer local channels and Netflix, so please let me know if you need help getting into Netflix. Please feel free to use my dinning room table and enjoy.

During your stay
I am here for you and want to make sure you have everything you need to make this a great experience. If you need something or have a question about anything please ask. I work full time so I am gone all day. I have another renter that works full-time. I'm off to work early and don't return until late afternoon. I typically need the bathroom at 5:45 for a bit and out of the house by 7:15. I might not be here but I'm always reachable.

Other things to note
If you have a car, I offer my driveway for you to park in during your stay, but it's on a first come first serve basis. I'm a hands-off host and want you to feel comfortable and welcomed, but I am here for you if you need me. Feel free to move about the house. I have a fully stocked kitchen as far as pots and pans. For those with extended stays, if you feel like cooking please do so. I have oils and seasonings so you don't have to worry about those extra ingredients. I am always cell phone connected if you have any questions or need anything.

Our classic 1920's stucco house has one-of-a-kind interior decor and furnishings, thx to husband and WoodZest-owner, Craig. Your bedroom is on the 2nd floor, as is the full bathroom. Closets have towels, extra blankets, and storage space. Help yourself to any of the toiletries under the sink or in the medicine cabinet - it's all your space! The two bedrooms are adjacent to each other, without locks, but there is a lock on the bathroom door; only guests in your own party use the full bath and the extra, second bedroom ($35/nite extra for 2nd room).
Craig and I reside in the bedroom and office in the opposite side of the house (at the top of the stairs).
There is a first floor toilette ("WC") at the base of the stairs for your convenience as well.

Guest access
Parking is free on the street. Check-in will be in person; if arriving after 10pm, contact Jean for instructions. You may enjoy our front or back yards any time. We discourage cooking in our kitchen, as we use it regularly, but if you need refrigerator space, we'll gladly clear some shelf space. I do have coffee and tea available - just ask me so I can get them prepared for you.
And you can feel free to enjoy your carry-out or leftovers in the front dining room, patio outside, or borrow a cooler and basket for a picnic!

During your stay
Craig and/or Jean will be living in the home during your stay. We are Minneapolis enthusiasts, interested in sharing what we love about the Twin Cities. You will reside in a separate wing upstairs, so only the staircase and laundry room is shared with us. On the first/main floor, we use the garage entrance in the back of the house; your entrance is through the front door. So unless we have friends over for dinner, the front of the house is pretty much your space.
You are our guests, and as such, you can decide how much interaction you want. Please don't hesitate to ask us anytime, in person or by text, about any concerns or questions you have - we choose to be Airbnb hosts because we enjoy sharing our home and our city. Allow us to make your stay as pleasant for you as possible.

Other things to note
High speed wi-fi is free. We have a wireless printer at your disposal as well. We are traditionally not TV watchers, thus no TV's in your room(s), so screen time will be on your PC (unless you want to join us for a Netflix evening in the family room - we do indulge in that, since becoming empty nesters :)
Our home is furnished with high-end contemporary furniture designed and created by my artisan husband, Craig, but the house itself is 90 years old, with lovely old wood trimmings and floors, including the creaky staircase (we don't even notice that during the night anymore, but some people do) and wood floors that carry the sound of voices, music from your room, right out from under your door; please keep this in mind after 10:00pm (quiet hour). *I supply disposable ear plugs if any noises bother you.
In the summer you are encouraged to use the fan and close window blinds during the day to keep heat out; at night Minneapolis often cools down, so the AC doesn't kick in - open your windows if it becomes stuffy.
Craig calls Jean a "granola-head" because for decades she's shopped organic at food coops, and had a compost bin before most people knew what they were. So, know that all cleaning products and toiletries are as natural, non-allergenic, and as environmentally friendly as I can find. Even the shampoos in your bath are containers that I refill with gentle soaps and essential oils from the local Food Coop. Your sheets may feel crisp and slightly wrinkled from clothes-line drying, because I only use the clothes dryer to soften up towels, in attempt to reduce energy consumption. And I loathe ironing.

The space
This neighbor has been my home for 8+ years, and I love it here!
Your private space is in the BASEMENT LEVEL of my charming 120 year old house! While infrequent, the owners walk downstairs to use the separate utility/laundry room. The bathroom is equipped with a warm-water bidet + squatty potty, the shower has HOT water + detachable shower head. Shower doubles as a bathtub and has great water pressure. The full sized bed is slightly firm. There's a desk + chair for remote workers, with blazing fiber internet. Entry to the house is a breeze with a keypad on both front + back door. In warm months, guests can relax/work from the peaceful shaded patio, and in cooler months there's a great fire pit! (ask ahead for wood).

Nearby: guests love the dozens of amazing restaurants, bars, bakeries, and coffee shops within 1 mile. Bogarts Donuts is a particular fan-favorite 2 blocks away. Adventurous guests enjoy the 15-min stroll to the nearby Lake Bde Maka Ska. There is a convenient bus stop 100 feet away with direct access to downtown without any changes.

Guests are welcome to their own private space downstairs, with easy access to the shared washer and drier also in the basement. There's a Roku-connected TV downstairs. Guests have access to everything on the main floor as well, including a full kitchen, lots of fun kitchen toys, streaming services on the 65" smart tv, books, records, boardgames, and lounging in the sunroom. Please refrain from going upstairs, where the hosts work remotely and shower/sleep.

During your stay
Eric (me!) is responsive via the AirBnB app at nearly all times to answer questions and give advice and recommendations. If it is something urgent, please call. When home, he likes to interact with guests and trade stories, but fully respects guests privacy and wishes if they aren't the chatty type!

Other things to note
- The room is DOWNSTAIRS, following a slightly steep staircase. Please use the handrail and watch your head!
- The house is 120 years old, and the hardwood floors creak sometimes. We have provided earplugs for extra sensitive sleepers.
- There is a small fridge in the room, as well as main fridge/freezer space available for guests, as well as free laundry.
- I do all my own cleaning and I appreciate respectful, clean guests!
- Rita, our 15lb rescue puppy, is barky but she will never bite. She loves when guests sit on the floor to meet her.

This is the second floor of a three story home in South Minneapolis. Hosts live in the house but mostly keep to their master suite on the third floor. Along with walk in closet. You have access to the living room, and dining room as well and are welcome to host an evening (inside or outside). We are so close to everything Minneapolis has to offer lakes, Mall of America, theaters and Uptown.
