Welcome to our cabin, Sailor's Cove, directly on West Rush Lake and get ready to relax. This full season cabin offers amazing views from the deck or patio and has approx. 100 feet of shoreline. Boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, relaxing, games, campfires, fire table, 2 lakeside restaurants and oh the view… the list goes on. Enjoy beautiful Minnesotan seasons on the lake! This is your escape! Views and wildlife, cozy places to relax and good restaurants to eat at, we have it all! In the summer you can fish right off the dock, bring your boat (public landing just minutes away), rent a boat or use our canoe/kayak and explore approximately 1500 acres of recreational enjoyment. Plus there are over an additional 1000 acres of water accessible thru a short channel to East Rush Lake! What could be better? Islands, bays, restaurants, sunrises and sunsets all just waiting for you to enjoy!

You can enjoy looking at the lake from the new deck off the main level or from the expansive patio below. We just added a "fire table" to the deck which has quickly become a special spot to enjoy the views. One of my favorite things is sitting with a cup of coffee on the second deck, the "sunrise" deck, aptly named for the view. A cozy fire pit on the patio is surrounded by comfy furniture for relaxing evenings and reminiscing. Listen to the loons and watch eagles soar overhead, wildlife abounds! The cabin is situated on part of a peninsula which adds more privacy and lake views. The neighborhood bar/restaurant, Grumpy Minnow, is a quick 5 min. boat ride around the bend or a 15 min. walk thru the neighborhood. Flickabird's is another lakeside bar/restaurant that is accessible thru the channel to East Rush Lake and a marina.

We are close to several wedding venues in the Rush City, Cambridge and Stanchfield areas. The cabin is a perfect place to come together as well as wind down.

The cabin has 4 bedrooms:
*Large Masterbdrm - Queen bed plus a Queen size Murphy bed (folded up against the wall)

*There are 2 bathrooms with showers.
*The kitchen has a long breakfast bar (seats 3) that comes in handy for buffet meals or a quiet breakfast looking out over the trees and lake. A barnwood table and built in buffet bench offer plenty of seating (8) for meals and games.
*A desk/work area is adjacent to the kitchen table and often gets used as a snack/beverage station for grabbing yummy items on the way to the deck.
*New oven and microwave in 2020, new fridge in 2021, new dishwasher in 2025
*The upstairs living room opens unto the new large cedar deck with a gas grill and a large patio table that seats 6 comfortably with room for 8 (plus a new fire table for 4).
*There is another living area in the lower level with a new gas fireplace/stove for game night or watching movies on the flat-screen TV via Roku. A bar area and beverage fridge are conveniently tucked along one side. The second bathroom is located in the lower level allowing quick access from the patio and lake. The laundry room is located next to the lower bathroom and has a front load washer and dryer for your use.
*The walkout patio offers various seating/conversation areas and a firepit.
*2nd deck along the side yard stairs offers great views of the sunrise/lake or just quiet reflection away from the main cabin.

If you are feeling lucky after catching all those fish, then a 20-minute car ride brings you to the Grand Casino in Hinckley. If live music sounds great then head to one of the nearby lakeside bars, the Grumpy Minnow or Flickabirds on the weekend. There is even an 18 hole golf course, Bulrush, nearby at Rush City. The towns of Rush City and Cambridge are both within 20 minutes. In true 'up north' fashion there are food raffles and fun bars in the area as well as many wineries and antique shops so there’s always something to do.
Ice fishing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling are perfect winter activities along with a good book snuggled up to the fireplace.

Our winter rates are $175 - 225 per night, summer rates are $300 - 435 per night. There is a 2 night minimum Sept. thru May (holidays may have 3-5 night minimums) and a 5 night minimum June thru August with a 5% discount for 7 or more nights. There is a one time charge of $25 per guest over 6 guests for maintaining and running the property.

Pets are welcome with prior approval as well as a $150 pet fee each.

A damage deposit of $500 will be required as well as a $150 cleaning fee for all bookings.

Our rental is located on Ann Lake. Ann Lake is approximately 650 acres in size, and 17 feet deep at its deepest point. Ann Lake is great for fishing, ice fishing, and water sports. We are located near Mille Lacs, and between two casinos. Mille Lacs is Minnesota's second largest lake, and the "Walleye Capital of The World". You are less then 20 feet from the lake, not to mention that your less then 300 feet from a public access, so launching your boat will be a breeze.

This is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life, as well as a great spot for all things outdoors such as ice fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sledding and more! We're just across the way from East Rush Lake and minutes from downtown Rush City. Come and watch the sunset from your private deck while you relax at this cozy little cabin! Please note, Pine Lake is a small, shallow lake for non motorized watercraft (which we provide). Fishing is not productive, but it’s great to take the boats out and have fun. There is great fishing across the street on East and West Rush Lake. Swimming is also not advised due to the abundance of lily pads and cattails. There are many options for swimming nearby if that is of interest.

WE ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT OUR SECOND SEASON OF RENTING OUR HOUSE!

The first year was a great success! Our guests were so gracious and we learned so much. We are hopeful that leads to an even better second season for our rental property.

We have a few changes we are excited about for this upcoming season. We have built a very large three season porch overlooking the lake. No more bugs! This spring we are adding a cement patio that will overlook the lake and have a nice sitting area for those who want the outside experience. Both areas will have dining space. Pictures are in on the new sun room and we will add when done with patio.

We have also remodeled both of our bathrooms on the main floor.

You are going to love everything about this place. From morning coffee out on the porch or down on the patio, both overlooking the lake. Or maybe you would prefer to have your morning coffee down on the 50+ foot long dock, with a bench seat on the end of it. It is such an easy walk to the dock and can almost guarantee you will walk right under an eagle in the trees or flying above you. You will have a couple of kayak's or a couple of paddle boards at your disposal to take out onto the beautiful Goose Lake. There is also a paddle boat that will seat four.

Goose lake is a chain of four lakes, Upper Goose, Lower Goose, Mandall Lake and Robour Lake. Over 700 acres of shoreline. Your house will be located on Upper Goose. The public boat ramp for the lake is literally 1000 feet down the road from your drive way if you want to bring your own boat and tie up to the long dock. The two parts of Goose Lake is passable under a small bridge. Mandall and Robour are connected by channels.

All four lakes are known for pan fish, LM Bass and northern. Lower Goose will provide the walleye fisherman with plenty of opportunities. Fishing is good right off the dock for bass, northern and pan fish. Don't have a pole, there will be a few down in the lower level entry of the house for you to use. Grab some crawlers at the bait shop just off the Harris exit on your way to the house. Or you can run up to the Rush Corner Store, a five minute trip.

The lakes are big enough to enjoy yet small enough to not have heavy traffic of any kind.

When the sunset hits at dusk it is the most gorgeous thing you will ever see. You will find yourself paralyzed as you look at it. Wondering just how bright it can get.

The yard is perfect for yard games. We have plenty of yard in the front of the house as well as the back, between the house and the lake. We have a portable fire pit for you to have your s'mores wherever you would like. We also have a gas fire pit for the patio.

The biggest problem will be getting out of the house, it is so warm and cozy you will have a hard time leaving it. It is three levels, you will walk in to the middle level. It will hold the master bed and bath, the second bedroom (bunk room) and another bathroom. It will also have a living area, a kitchen that may make you forget you are at the lake until you look up and see the lake out the two huge windows in the dining area. The space is very open and easy for all to enjoy.

The upper level has two more bedrooms and a full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a full bed. There is a living area up stairs as well that has a sleeper sofa. There is small table up stairs looking out over the lake. It's a great place to do some crafting or putting together a puzzle.

The lower level has a spiral staircase. These types of staircases are not for everyone. They are safe, but different and make some people uncomfortable. We have tried to keep that in mind and made the downstairs living area a "kid area." With a couch and tv, and a place to play games. There is a closet full of board games in the bunk room. There is an entry to the lower level from the back yard as well.

In the winter when you come up to ice fish (straight out from the house is the best place on the lake in the winter) . Or maybe you go hang out in the sauna as your winter activity. It is hooked up and ready to go year round.

If you HAVE to work for part of your stay, there are two designated work areas each with its own desk. One is in the master bedroom, far away from house traffic. More than quiet enough for that zoom meeting you have to do. There is also a standing desk upstairs if needed for a work space. Internet is great and fast.

All four TVs will have access to your internet streaming choice as they all have access to wifi. The TVs do not have cable/satellite access of any kind.

The outside area on the side of the house that is opposite of the lake is very spacious. There are many parking spots and good turn around area if you are pulling. Many games have been played up on that side of the house as well because of its great shade and flat area.

The house is located an easy 15 minute drive of off interstate 35. You will be an hour to the cities and 90 minutes to Duluth.

The area is loaded with things to do. You are ten minutes from the cities of Cambridge and North Branch. All kinds of stores, coffee shop, and restaurants. Many of trips to Target have been made from this house. :)

There are three bar/resort bars within ten minutes of the house. Food is great at all three places.

Sunrise Prairie Trail is about a 15 minute drive from the house. This is an asphalt bike and hike trail.

Running Aces casino, hotel and race track is 20 minutes away to the South and Grand Casino is 30 minutes to the North. Both located just off of I35.

ATV/snowmobile trails are 40 minutes away.

There are several golf courses within an hour drive of the house in all directions. Including Bullrush Golf Club, only 5 minutes away in Rush City. Many of those courses also have simulators for the cold months.

The house is close to several wedding venues in the Rush City, Cambridge, North Branch and Stanchfield areas. The house is also just an hour drive to Hudson, WI.

Rush City, a 5 minute drive, has a very good Mexican restaurant and it may also have the best baked goods you have ever tasted at the Rush City Bakery. Get there early, things go quickly.

The bedrooms:
The master is a huge room, has a king bed with adjustable bed base. There is an office area in the bedroom and a rocking chair as well.

The master bathroom is a full bath. It is a walk in shower no tub.

The second bedroom is the "bunk room" has a bunk bed, twin over full, and a trundle bed. The bathroom downstairs is also full bath, with tub/shower combo.

The other two bedrooms are upstairs. Bedroom 3 is a queen bed and bedroom 4 is a full size bed. The bathroom upstairs is a full bath as well with a shower/tub combo.

The living area upstairs has a sectional that turns into a double bed with a lift up section.

The laundry area was just moved from the basement, upstairs to master bed level. It is a washer/dryer all in one.

There are TVs in the living area on the top floor, the living area on the main floor and down in the "kids area" in the basement. There is also one in the master bedroom.

The kitchen is loaded. The usual of course, plenty of dishes, cups, silverware and supplies. In addition you will find an opal nugget ice machine, Ninja air fryer, and Ninja double brew and single cup coffer maker compatible with Keurig pods. A nice sized island to use in any way you see fit. There is also a beverage fridge to help with the overflow.

The neighborhood is on a dead end road, with the boat ramp towards the end of the road. The house sits in a private setting, fence and trees as barriers between both neighbors. Both side have great neighbors who keep to themselves and will expect the exact the same from you. If you are looking for a party house, please keep looking.

Upper Goose, the lake the house sits on, is a shallow lake. Most of the lake, away from the shoreline, will be 5 to 7 feet. From the shore line to about 100 feet or so will be 1 to 3 feet. That is why the docks on on upper Goose Lake tend to be pretty long, allowing it to get out to a little deeper water.

Swimming on the shoreline becomes challenging. It tends to get weedy as summer moves along. Most swimming is done out away from docks on this lake.

Pets are welcome with prior approval as well as a $150 pet fee, dogs only. Limit of two.

A damage deposit of $500 will be required as well as a $150 cleaning fee for all bookings.

Relaxing modern Lakeshore home, peaceful with amazing views. The home features a large deck out back for relaxing out in the sun, or you can enjoy the same views relaxing in the gazebo. Pokegama lake is great for watersports and fishing in the summer. You can do some great fishing right off the private dock as well. During the winter months, Pokegama lake is great for ice fishing and is accessible to snowmobile trails. The lake also hosts two restaurants/bars with dock access.

Boat launch information for summer bookings:
Goose Lake is part of a chain of lakes. If you have questions about the boat launch or water levels, please reach out and we're happy to help provide additional information! The boat launch is on the smaller Upper Goose Lake, which is joined to Lower Goose Lake, where our cabin is located. You will need to cross under a small bridge that connects the two lakes. We recommend the private boat launch 'Goose Lake Narrows Resort' (1450 Goose Lake Narrows, Stanchfield, MN 55080), for $7.00 fee.

You are less than 20 feet from the lake, not to mention that you're less than 300 feet from a public access, so launching your boat will be a breeze. Located near Mille Lacs Lake.

The lake is only 11 feet deep, spring and creek fed. Later in the summer, the water can get murky and filled with algae. Great place to enjoy peace and quiet. Very relaxing!

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. 2 of the bedrooms have queen sized beds, the third bedroom has 2 single bunk-beds. If you have more than 6 people, there is a sofa in the living room and an air mattress (mattress and air pump provided) for a couple additional people. Owner requests absolutely no more than 8 people staying in the cabin without prior approval. This will be enforced.

You will have access to the entire property: Entire cabin, spacious yard, and 150 feet of shoreline. Firewood, propane, 2-10 ft kayaks, and yard games are provided. This is a very relaxing, comfortable, place to stay at any time of the year.

There are 3 golf courses less than 30 minutes from the property. Grand Casino in Hickley is also less than 30 minutes away. There are several restaurants in Pine City approximately 10 minutes away. The Northwest Company Fur Post Museum is 5 minutes away.

Far enough away but still close enough for all of your needs! The large lake front with dock makes for great summer boating, fishing, & water adventures. As the leaves begin to change in fall this property provides beautiful scenery and hunting. The winter creates a great ice fishing getaway. Something for all seasons!

This relaxing, modern Lakeshore home is peaceful and has amazing views. The home features a large deck out back for relaxing in the sun, or you can enjoy the same views while relaxing in the gazebo. Pokegama Lake is great for watersports. You can do some great fishing right off the private dock as well. During the winter months, Pokegama Lake is great for ice fishing and is accessible via snowmobile trails. The lake also hosts 2 restaurants/bars with dock access.

Take a deep breath and relax. This light filled cabin is the perfect place to slow down for a few days. Just a little more than 60 minutes from the Twin Cities. You'll enjoy the great views of Lake Pokegama from the back deck as well as over 100 feet of private shoreline. The garage offers pickleball as well as other games.

This is NOT a house for parties.

NOTE: Lake Pokegama is fed by the Snake River. It can turn green in late summer along the shore.

The space
This house boasts four bedrooms and three separate living rooms. There is an upper yard and a lower yard with a dock and beach. Your group will have plenty of space and gorgeous views. The deck off the back of the house offers a place to relax with sight of sunrises and sunsets. You'll be less than 10 minutes from Pine City, where you can grocery shop or find a good bite to eat.

If the dock is pulled in for the season, do not play on the pieces on the lawn.

As seen in the pictures, there is a long staircase down to the water. Please consider this when booking.

Only registered guests allowed. This is NOT a house for parties. My neighbors are full time residents and quiet hours must be observed from 10pm-8am.

There may be some firewood on premises, but it isn't guaranteed. To be sure you have good, dry firewood, you should bring your own.

There are a number of youth life jackets available in the boat house and three adult life jackets. Fit is not guaranteed, so bring your own if you are concerned.

There is a lily pad, two kayaks, a paddle board and some noodles available to use.

Lake Pokegama is fed by the Snake River. It is a clean lake but not a clear lake.


Rental Agreement:
VACATION RENTAL LEASE AGREEMENT This Vacation Rental Lease Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between the guest renter (“Guest”), whether one or more, and Golden Heel Properties LLC (“Owner”) regarding the vacation property known as “The Lookout on the Lake’” located at 15899 Sunset Trail, Pine City MN (“Vacation Property”). This Agreement constitutes a contract between Guest and Owner. Please read this Agreement carefully. It is the responsibility of the Guest to understand and acknowledge all the terms and conditions in this Agreement. Guest agrees that s/he will be present at the Vacation Property for the entire duration of the reservation and that s/he will be responsible for the actions and behavior of each member of the group or authorized visitor(s) (“Group Member”) present at the Vacation Property. This includes ensuring that each Group Member or authorized visitor(s) present at the Vacation Property is aware of and in compliance with the terms and conditions as set forth in this Agreement. If you are booking this Vacation Property through a third-party, i.e., VRBO or Airbnb, this Agreement may also be subject to that third-party’s terms and conditions. In the event of any discrepancy between this Agreement and the third-party’s terms and conditions, this Agreement shall prevail unless specifically stated otherwise. Any payment of money direct or otherwise or occupancy of the Vacation Property shall constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. 1. OCCUPANCY DATES: It is expressly understood and agreed that this is a short-term rental based on the reservation dates made through a third-party, i.e., VRBO, or as agreed otherwise in writing directly with Owner (“Occupancy Dates”). In the event the reservation is made directly with Owner, the Occupancy Dates shall be set forth in an attached Vacation Rental Addendum, if applicable.

1. HOUSE RULES: The house rules (“House Rules”) attached as Exhibit A hereto are incorporated into this Agreement. Please review the House Rules carefully as violation(s) may result in the termination of this Agreement, additional fees or liquidated damages, denial of entry or immediate removal from the Vacation Property, and/or forfeiture of all amounts paid including any deposits

2. NO LIABILITY, INDEMNIFICATION, HOLD HARMLESS AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK: Owner shall be indemnified and held harmless by Guest, each Group Member or visitor for any liabilities, damages, costs or expenses whatsoever arising from or related to any claim in connection with use or occupancy of the Vacation Property, including, but not limited to, any claim or liability for personal injuries, damages, fines, penalties, loss or theft of personal property, which is made, incurred, or sustained by any individual at the Vacation Property during the Occupancy Dates. Guest, each Group Member and any visitor(s) at the Vacation Property during the Occupancy Dates accepts and assumes all risks involved in or related to the use of any activities or amenities available at the Vacation Property, including, but limited to, watercrafts, use of fire pit, and lake activities.

3. SIGNATURE: A signature is not required to make this Agreement enforceable. Acceptance of this Agreement is deemed when payment is made.

4. ACCEPTANCE: This Agreement shall become binding upon receipt of any payment whether paid directly to Owner or a third-party and constitutes acceptance and agreement to the terms, conditions, limitations, and restrictions hereunder.



EXHIBIT A: HOUSE RULES

Thank you for choosing The Lookout on the Lake as your vacation property. Our house rules are intended to allow full enjoyment during your stay, while respecting our neighbors and property. The basic rule is to act in a civilized and respectful manner as you would in your own home.

1. NO SMOKING: There is absolutely no smoking, vaping, e-cigarette use permitted anywhere
inside. The no smoking policy is strictly enforced with no exceptions.

2. NO PETS: Due to allergy issues of some guests, pets or animals are not permitted, whether
inside or outside.

3. QUIET HOURS: Please respect quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM (Central Time).

4. CONDUCT AND NOISE: Please avoid excessive noise, foul or lewd language, and other
disturbances.

5. FIREPIT: Do not leave fire pit unattended when in use. The fire must always be under control
and not excessive. Basically, no large fires that are a danger to you or others.

6. BED LINENS: Upon check out, please strip beds(remove duvet cover, pillow case and fitted sheet) and leave at foot of each bed.
Please place all used towels in the bath tub or white laundry basket in the laundry room.

7. KITCHEN: All kitchen items used must be washed and the dishwasher emptied at check-out.

8. GARBAGE: At check-out, please gather and place all garbage in the can outside garage.

Take it easy at this one of a kind, tranquil getaway on Pokegama Lake. Enjoy access to a private 8 acre island, where you can swim, kayak, fish, or boat on over 3,000 acres!

Pokegama is known for its excellent fishing & also offers 2 bars/restaurants. The main cabin features a spacious indoor bar facing the lake, glass garage doors, retractable screens, TVs, & ample seating. For the kids (& the young at heart), there’s a waterslide, trampoline, raft, & other fun toys to keep everyone busy!

The space
The main cabin includes two bedrooms:
One has a queen bed, and the other features a bunk with a twin on top, queen on the bottom, and a twin trundle. You’ll also find a full bathroom, a kitchen, and a cozy living room. A washer and dryer are located just off the bar area for guest use.

The bunkhouse is perfect for larger groups, with four queen-over-queen bunk beds and a PTAC unit for heating and cooling.

The nearby bathhouse includes three separate bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink, and shower.

Heads up! The water trampoline has officially bounced into retirement. After a noble run and way too many surprise meetings with fishing hooks, it finally waved the white flag (and deflated with dignity).
While it's no longer making waves, the lake is still loaded with fun - bring your floaties, paddleboards, or just your best cannonball form. Water adventures await— just hook responsibly! 😉

Guest access
You’ll have full access to the entire 8-acre island during your stay.

Please note: you will need your own boat or water transportation to travel to and from the island.

Other things to note
We provide a Traeger grill, Blackstone, and a fire table. Please bring your own pellets for the Traeger and propane for both the Blackstone and fire table. There is also a wood-burning fire pit on the island; firewood is not provided, so please bring your own.

If you use the Water Wars game, be sure to pick up all balloon debris. Failure to do so may result in a cleaning fee.

While this space offers a unique and upscale retreat with modern comforts and beautiful amenities, it’s important to remember you’re staying on a private island surrounded by hundreds of trees and abundant wild life. This means you’ll share the space with nature’s little residents—bugs, pollen, cobwebs, and occasional geese (and their droppings) are all part of the experience. The fresh lake air and open spaces come with these natural elements, so while we provide screens and plenty of creature comforts, a bit of rustic charm and respect for the environment is all part of the island lifestyle.
