"The Beatnik Nook" a Tiny cabin nestled in the woods, overlooking environmental Meadow Lake. Featuring a sauna & relaxing outdoor tub for the ultimate rejuvenation experience. Take the kayaks out for a paddle on the lake, gather around the firepit under the starry sky. Immerse yourself in nostalgia with the retro decor. Embrace the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere while still enjoying modern comforts.

This tiny cabin is 240 sqft and features 2 queen beds, one in a private bedroom with a desk and closet space another in the sleeping loft area. A full bathroom with a standing shower. Kitchen with a plug in cooktop, microwave, fridge, and larger flip down toaster oven. The living room which is shared with the dining space has a dinette bar, couch, tv and games.

While outdoors you will feel like your in the middle of nowhere as there is no neighbors on either side of beatnik, the cabin is down a private minimum maintenance road so if your looking for an escape all to yourself this is it!

The cabin offers central air-conditioning and heat.

The large front porch has patio seating with 2 tables, and a gas grill. There is a renovated boat house that offers 2 kayaks, 4 life jackets, and a vintage fridge to store lakeside drinks and snacks. Cabin rental includes the kayaks, dock and boat lift use. Fishing is great all seasons for bass, northern, sunny, and walleye.
The cabin is also settled on a quiet bay, which is perfect for water sports in the summer and great access to ice fishing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling trails.

Year 'round secluded, fully furnished cabin with 1 bedroom, 1 enclosed porch, 1 bath, fully equipped kitchen situated in the woods on 2.5 acres. The bedroom upstairs has a queen bed. The enclosed front porch has a futon double couch. The living room has a leather couch.. sleeps 5. The owners blue dock is a 2 minute walk from the cabin. Our lake easement is 30 foot wide and there is a private cabin and private bunkhouse on either side of owl trail cabin lake access. There are 2 marked parking spots for owl trail cabin at the access. Owl trail cabin is located 12 miles north of Browerville, 12 miles south of Staples, 12 miles east of Clarissa and 12 miles west of Lincoln Lakes area. Lake Alexander, Fish Trap Lake, Shamineau Lake and Pine Ridge golf course are within 15 minutes. Brainerd is 35 miles to the northeast.

Summertime fun: boating, fishing, swimming and golf.

Wintertime fun: Ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowmobile trails and hunting close by. Ski Gull is located 25 miles away.

Weather can be snowy and icy and wet and muddy in the springtime. Be prepared with mud or snow boots.

Public landing is across the lake where you can launch and land your boat and then tie up to owners dock. The owl trail dock has a ladder and the lake drops off to 20 feet about 10 feet from the dock. Swimming and Fishing is good. Bring your boats and water toys or snowmobiles, skis and fish houses for your get away at owl trail cabin!

Lake Shamineau has up to 20 feet of water clarity. Our Cabin is on the mostly undeveloped northern shore. The back of the cabin is protected by 3.5 private acres of woods and trails.

The cabin is located on a beautiful tree-lined, quiet road which offers excellent walking and biking just out the front door. There are two lakeside restaurants, "Anchor North” (was Castaway) offers outdoor seating and features live music during the summer months and "The Landing" offers fine dining. This cabin is full of winter fun as well! Enjoy ice fishing right out your back door. Also, snowmobiling, sledding, winter walks among the tall Pines, or just cozy up next to the wood burning fireplace!
Sleeping arrangements: 3 bedrooms; 2 on main level and 1 in the walk out lower level. All with queen size beds. In addition to the bed rooms, there is a bunk area with twin beds over 2 full size beds. There is also a pull-out oversized chair to accommodate additional guests.

Fun fact: Lake Alexander is in the top 5% of lakes in MN in terms of size and has excellent water quality.

The exterior bunkhouse has 2 full-sized beds and can be used in the summer months.

It includes 3 separate living room areas, a dining room, laundry room, and kitchen with a Kuerig and all the cooking/baking items you’ll need. There are 4 exterior decks including a spacious boathouse deck with expansive views, a main deck with a lakeview, a master deck off a bedroom, and a deck on the bunkhouse. The patio is perfect for evening bonfires (wood is complimentary), smores, and lots of laughter. The cabin has 2 full bathrooms, both with a shower and one with a bathtub.

Room for 4 cars maximum to be parked on property. Smoking is NOT allowed, and sorry, no pets as we have beautiful wood floors milled from trees on the property plus an allergy in the family.

There are 4 security cameras on the exterior of the property that will only be viewed in the event of injury or damage.

“The Tiny Timber" is a 450 sqft cabin with many updates to give it a modern look without completely comprising its "up north cabin" feel. Timber is a true gem located in the Lincoln lakes area of Cushing MN. The area boasts nearby restaurants, and many recreational activities from snowmobiling in the winter, to exploring one of the nearby lakes in the summer. Timber is also an ideal spot for hunters as there many options for nearby public land to hunt on. When not enjoying what the area has to offer Timber is the perfect place to unwind at from a cold water plunge paired with the sauna to s'mores around the campfire.

THE SPACE: The Tiny Timber features a fully equipped kitchen with all the cookware you need to make all your favorite meals! The kitchen appliances are apartment sized appliances (on the smaller side). The dining room features a table with 4 dining chairs. The living room features sofa and a chair, 32 inch roku tv, gaming console with 1000s of classic preloaded games, and a handful of boardgames and books for additional entertainment. The first bedroom features one queen sized memory foam bed, the second bedroom features a full sized memory foam bed and a twin sized bunk bed (more suitable for children but would accommodate and additional adult). The bathroom features a sink, toilet, and a single stall shower with included amenities such as towels, toilet paper and soaps.

NEARBY TOWNS & ATTRACTIONS: The Tiny Timber is 1 miles from Fish Trap Lake boat landing, it is not a lake front property. It sits on on a .73 acre lot with scenic nature views.

Brand new remodel and fully furnished. 30 feet off of the water, and 2 blocks off of a fantastic local golf, drive your golfcart right onto the fareway trail. Perfect for a couple to have a private getaway, or a small family with additional sleeping in the living room. Wake up right on the water and campfires at night looking across the lake at a private shoreline with no cabins built, owned by camp shamineau and provides a dark shoreline for star gazing! You dont even have to chop firewood. Motley is only a 5 minute drive and a short 20 minute drive from brainerd lakes area. Shamineau offers bass, walleye, northern pike, black crappie, blue gill and muskie amongst other species. We also have a boat a 23' sunesta available for rent which seats 14 people.

Welcome to your retreat on Lake Shamineau! This charming home has two bedrooms, one bath and a full futon in the living room and will sleep 6. We do have a full size air bed as well. If you chose to use the air bed, the home will sleep 8 comfortably. Home has mini split AC/Heat that can be adjusted in both bedrooms and the living room. Home is fully furnished with all the cook ware, dishes, and drink ware you should need. Also is furnished with bed linens and towels.

The home has a private sand beach and swimming area. The water clarity is very nice, with clarity depths around 12 ft. For outdoor fun we supply two 12ft fishing kayaks as well as three 8ft standard kayaks.

You will have free access to a boat slip on our private dock. Please let us know what kind of boat you are bringing! If you need to rent a boat, we can help suggest local rental companies to assist.

Fishing! Fishing is great for young or old right off the end of our dock. Shamanieau is know for Bluegill, Crappie, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Perch, Walleye, and Northerns. It is also know as a great Muskie fishery.

You will find comfortable seating at the end of the dock if you chose to fish or just enjoy a sunset.

We also have a fire pit (fire wood supplied), picnic table and gas grill in our backyard.

Quintessential Minnesota "Up-North" Cabin here. House is about 15 feet from the water. Really clean and clear lake that had all kinds of fish. Best part of the spot was seeing the group of loons (sometimes a group of 3, others a group of 6) and listening to them at night while the sun was setting, doesn't get more Minnesotan than that! Didn't have any interactions with any neighbors so it was a relaxing, stress-free time. Kitchen and grill had everything you needed to cook meals. Main living area had all the channels, both bedrooms had comfy beds and AC that worked really well. Life jackets and some kids toys for our 3 little ones were a nice touch since we forgot to bring floaties. Owners were very responsive and helpful they had a great recommendation for an AWESOME restaurant about 10 minutes away called The Landing at Lake Alexander, that I can't recommend enough, too! Clean house, all the accommodations we needed, and the setting was as good as it gets. We'll be back next summer!"

The Tiny Timber features a fully equipped kitchen with all the cookware you need to make all your favorite meals! The kitchen appliances are apartment sized appliances (on the smaller side). The dining room features a table with 4 dining chairs. The living room features a sofa and a chair, 32 inch roku tv, gaming console with 1000s of classic preloaded games, and a handful of boardgames and books for additional entertainment. The first bedroom features one queen sized memory foam bed, the second bedroom features a full sized memory foam bed and a twin sized bunk bed (more suitable for children but would accommodate and additional adult). The bathroom features a sink, toilet, and a single stall shower with included amenities such as towels, toilet paper and soaps.

The Tiny Timber is 1 miles from Fish Trap Lake boat landing, it is not a lake front property. It sits on on a .73 acre lot with scenic nature views.

Fire pit and garden areas will be accessible for all guests to utilize . Paddle boards, lilly pads, and kayaks will be available. Fishing rods and lure will be available for use. If you want to fish, please make sure to have an MN fishing license.

Other things to note
We live five minutes walk from the resort and would be able to help and assist if you need anything. We have an organic vegetable garden at our property that every guess is welcome to utilize. You stroll, pick fresh produce, or help out at the garden.

The space
Castaway Cove is located on a large private lot on Fish Trap Lake. The cabin is completely renovated and updated with a kitchen that includes everything you need for eating in (hand mixer, Ninja blender, toaster, slow cooker, popcorn maker, ...). And a coffee bar with all you need to enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea any time of day (some coffee and tea included to get you started).

Guests have access to the entire cabin, dock and large private beach and yard.

The lake shed has lots of extras…outdoor games, extra camp chairs, fish cleaning station, life jackets (2 of each size - infant to X large).

Other things to note
Castaway Cove is family and child friendly. On request we provide a pack-n-play, a bed rail for a bunk, baby monitor, Fisher-Price baby-to-toddler high chair, booster seat, baby gates, toddler dinnerware and sippy cups.

This beautiful, peaceful lakeside retreat has lots of room for private parking and outdoor fun. The beach is shaded, the lakeshore is sandy. clean and quiet on most days. Beautiful sunsets. A paddleboat, 2 Kayaks and floaties are available for your use. The lakeside level has a game room with some board games, a miniature foosball table, a private lakeside bedroom and large bathroom. Hike or bike in beautiful fall colors, winter ice fish, snowmobile trails nearby. Golf course nearby.

The space
Full kitchen with lakeside view, upstairs bedroom and kid bedroom with twin over full bunkbed. There are 3 channels on the tv and internet service is sometime spotty. Free parking, lots of room.

Guests have the whole cabin and beach to themselves.

Other things to note
There are three single cots and extra sheets in the laundry room that you may use. Also, the couch and chair upstairs lay down almost flat, and the small couch in the gameroom pulls out into a single bed.
Many extra towels are rolled up and in the downstairs bathroom for use by the lake.
