Welcome to the Forest House, a single-level, fully furnished retreat nestled on the 2300 acres lake. This charming cabin offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests in comfort and style. Each bedroom is meticulously appointed with new mattresses, quality bedding, ample outlets for device charging, and storage options like closets and drawers to ensure a restful stay.

**We do allow up to two dogs with a flat $100 pet fee, regardless of the length of stay or number of pets.**

The Clear Lake Cottage offers activities for all ages during all seasons! Spring, Summer & Fall offer great fishing for walleye & bass, swimming in sand/rock bottom Clear Lake, boating (pantoon available by request & fee), paddle boarding, playing lawn games, walking/biking on the nearby paved trail system, or getting a sun tan on the dock. Winter months attract the sport of ice fishing, snowmobiling on nearby trails, crafting and quilting groups, family holiday gatherings, spiritual retreats, jumping into the outdoor hot tub and building many fires in the wood burning fireplace onsite. The neighborhood
Forest Lake is a town with great heritage and growth in recent years! We enjoy getting a cup of joe or latte at Kodiak Coffee or the Coffee Smith, picking up scrumptious cinnamon rolls from Keys Cafe to eat on the dock and getting a sweet treat at the local ice cream shop in the downtown area. There are wonderful restaurants all within 5-7 minutes if you're wanting to enjoy a meal out or grab take out! Our personal favorites are: Mallards, Zoukmaya & Shoreside Bar & Grill. There are also fun antique shops located downtown: Vintage Junky is one that has awesome handmade items! Another relaxing option for individuals or groups is to book a day at the full service LeGrande Spa on Forest Lake, just 7 minutes away from the Clear Lake Cottage. Taylors Falls is 25 minutes away and offers great hiking, rafting, climbing and unforgettable views in all seasons! Target, Walmart, Aldi, Cub, and Home Depot are also within 8 minutes of the Clear Lake Cottage if you should need to grab any extra groceries or supplies during your stay.

Clear Lake Cottage shares a long private driveway with our neighbors. This creates the perfect separation for relaxation & quiet! There is parking for a max of 8 vehicles on the driveway behind the garage. (The volleyball court, basketball hoop and kid playground are on our neighbors property, please refrain from trespassing). No RV parking is permitted due to having a narrow & shared driveway. Please observe our quiet hours listed in our house rules information (10pm-8am).

Getting around
Uber & Lyft are popular apps for getting around town if you do not have personal transportation.

The Hardwood Creek Regional Trail is within walking distance of Clear Lake Cottage. It is a paved, 9.5-mile multiple-use trail in all seasons. The trail consists of two parallel trails which run adjacent to State Highway 61, from County Road 8 (Frenchman Road) in Hugo to the Washington/Chisago County Line in Forest Lake.

The paved trail portion is for bikers, hikers, and in-line skaters, skiers and snowshoeing. In the winter, the paved trail is not groomed. The adjacent turf trail portion is for horses in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. The Forest Lake snowmobile club grooms the turf trail in the winter.

Meadow Retreat is a gorgeous two story home nestled in a beautiful 1.5+ lot off North Shore with privacy and a gorgeous views. Lake front property! 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Property set up for separate living spaces. 1 room with plenty of bunks for boys/girls/kids and 4 bedrooms for adults. Level 45 foot walk from walkout patio to the lake. The water is shallow and clear out to the end of the 280 foot dock. Great for parents with young children as the water doesn't drop off until 20 yards past the dock! There is a ring doorbell with alerts off at the front door.

Come enjoy our year-round lake cabin with your own PRIVATE beach. We have beautiful sunrises from our 3-level cottage and sunsets from the dock or anywhere on the water. Enjoy almost 70 feet of private, sandy beach into the lake, which is great for kids of all ages. Our long dock is available for your private use May-September (weather permitting) and has plenty of space to pull up your own boat. We have 2 kayaks and a paddleboat for you to enjoy as well, and if you are a member you can also rent a motorboat nearby at “Your Boat Club”. (Note: The motorized boat on the property is not for rental use.) The lake is quite shallow and usually clear but also weedy at times. For your safety, do not dive from the dock. The bench and 2 lounge chairs on the end of the dock are lovely for enjoying the lake at any time of the day!

We are walking distance to downtown Forest Lake, including the Dairy Queen and a great ice cream shop, coffee shops, and multiple restaurants. The city park and the city beach are a short walk as well. The bike trail is across the street and steps away, and we have a bike for your enjoyment in the lower level. If you are here on a summer Tuesday night, you won’t want to miss Arts and Crafts in the park with food trucks and live music. Don’t worry about parking - you can walk to the park in about 7 minutes! We are conveniently located about 30 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis/St. Paul if your travels bring you here for events in the city!

Our cottage sleeps 8 comfortably (10 max with a 1 time, extra-person fee for guests 9 and 10) in 4 bedrooms (2 Kings, 1 Queen, 1 lower-level bunk, and 1 Twin in the hallway [Twin hallway "room" has no closet]). There's also an extra futon in the lower-level family room (linens in the closet). Note: We welcome children but do not have a Pack’n Play or crib, nor is the home setup for the safety of small children. Please feel free to bring your own children’s items. If you should need some necessities and/or groceries, we are an easy drive to Target and Walmart. We are close to Cub Foods or Aldi for groceries, and there are plenty of fast food places near the interstate. The Keys Cafe is also a favorite and only a short drive away. If you are here for the 4th of July the parade goes right past the house on the street and the fireworks are on a barge in the middle of our lake, weather permitting.

Amenities included:
Home internet and free Wifi. A full bathroom on each level, at least 1 TV on each level, whole house boiler heat (if needed) and bedroom AC window units (May-Sept only) and room fans.

-Main Level: Full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave (with air fryer feature), gas range, microwave and fridge. Flatscreen ROKU Smart TVs in the eat-in kitchen and Queen bedroom, in-room window AC units in the bedrooms, ceiling fans in the kitchen and dining room and some portable fans in rooms too. There is a lakeside desk to get your work done, if you need to do any work on your getaway.

-Upstairs: Flatscreen ROKU Smart TVs in each of the 2 King bedrooms and in-room window AC units

-Lower Level: Large Flatscreen ROKU Smart TV in lower-level family room with a futon, extra eating space, kitchenette with fridge, sink and microwave, washer/dryer. Full bathroom with shower is just inside the lower level door for easy cleanup after playing at the beach. Please rinse off your sand OUTSIDE first. (NOTE: The infrared sauna in the bunk room is not for rental use.) Sorry, the inside fireplace is not available during the summer months.

Parking: Plenty of parking on our over-sized gravel area when pulling in at an angle. There is no parking inside the garage but you can park on the pad in front of the garage, which is handy for easy unloading. (Important Parking NOTE: We share our driveway with our neighbors to the north. Please Do NOT BLOCK the cars from coming in/out of the neighbor’s garage. Please stay entirely on our side of the driveway. We do have a pontoon trailer in the driveway but still room to park.)

Enjoy outdoor living in a number of areas: 1.) Deck lakeside off the living room with a small table and 2 chairs. Great for sunrises with a cup of coffee, 2.) Side patio area with a swing and outdoor eating area and BBQ, 3.) Fire pit near the beach (perfect for s’mores), 4.) The sandy beach and of course 5.) the lake!

Please note, our home is close to both our neighbors. We have the utmost respect for them and expect the same of our guests. No parties/events, no loud music/noise, no smoking/vaping (owner is severely allergic to smoke and pets and has asthma), and no drugs or illegal activity is allowed. As stated, NO PETS! Please respect our neighbors' privacy!

Note: The house does have 2 outdoor ARLO cameras monitoring the front door and the beach from afar for security purposes. There are no cameras in the home. You will be charged for any damages or theft, inside or outside or for excessive messes left by you or your party, those fees will be added on top of the standard cleaning fees and start at $500.

Note new June 2025: We did have some ice damage to our beach over the winter/Spring. It is still sandy but the beach is steeper than in years past. We added cinder block steps down to the water's edge and new Adirondack chairs on the sand. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the beach will be clear of weeds when you arrive. Expect weeds to come up on the beach if the winds blow towards our shoreline. There's a rake in the lower-level utility room if you'd like to clear an area of weeds.

Also, the VRBO site assumes if you have any exercise equipment, you have a "gym". We have a stationary/recumbent bike and some hand weights in our lower level, and 1 bike for outside for your use. We do NOT have a "gym."

In addition to our cottage being close to Mpls/St. Paul we are about 20 miles to Taylor's Falls thru Chisago City and the cute Swedish town of Lindstrom (great bakery too). We enjoy day trips there for sightseeing and exploring.

Forest Lake is a quaint town 30 minutes from both downtowns of the twin cities. It’s close to the Blaine airport, sports center+Running Aces Casino. It has several shops+ restaurants+ a beach area on Forest Lake!

- "It has potential. One large room over a garage. No walls to divide living/kitchen/pool table/bedroom space. Beautiful view. Very bright. Nicely furnished. Fun pool table. Dirty on arrival-we had to clean. No drinking glasses, 1 coffee cup! We had to ask for glasses. Dirty, USED paper plates in cabinet. 4 sides windows-no blinds...like sleeping in a fish bowl. 1 full, 1 twin bed. Crinkly rubber sheets. Noisy neighbors-fireworks at 2am? " - "Loaded the car up and had the kids ready to go. Everyone is excited and I get a call from evolve 4 hours before check in that our stay is cancelled… then evolve lets me know there are “other similar properties “ but those properties tend to jack up their prices when you want to book same day. Especially on Fourth of July. They didn’t offer a discount or credit. Why would I book something if they can just cancel it again? Why would I trust your company? They just said “the owner cancelled.” Why were we punished? If the owner cancels, my guess is they booked a longer stay on a different site, a reason should be given. We were just told. If its evolve, we will never trust them again."

This home is minutes from great restaurants, public boat launch, shopping, public beach, and entertainment.

*Spring 2024 is remodel around the pool area! There will be a beautiful 1,500 ft patio around the pool to enjoy. Please note that this will mean that the yard around the patio will be torn up with new grass being planted in Summer 2024.

The space
Prepare yourself a delicious meal in the fully stocked kitchen or on the large BBQ by the pool. This home offers plenty of seating for eating and relaxing, with 2 living areas with couches on the main floor, plus a family room with bar, arcade games, an infinity game table, and X Box with game pass.

You will have plenty of seating when dining in. There is a table in the kitchen that can seat 6 and a huge island, that can seat another 6.

Guests have access to the whole house, except a few locked closets for storage. Guests do not have access to the garage.

All bedrooms have blackout shades for a great night’s sleep.

The heated, in-ground pool will be open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Pool will still be open in September, but guests will need to pay a separate fee to have the pool heated. We have the pool maintained via cleaning, chemicals, and such once per week. We will be monitoring the chemical levels through a smart device throughout your stay and may need to instruct you to add some simple chemicals throughout your stay depending on your usage and weather, to keep the pool in optimal condition for your enjoyment.

Guest access
There is room for 2 cars to park side by side in the driveway and many more can park behind them in the driveway. Guests will not have access to the garage.

The home is 1 mile to downtown Forest Lake and 30 miles to Minneapolis.

Other things to note
The interior of the home is newly remodeled, and we hope you enjoy it! We are still working on the landscaping, the home’s exterior and a few interior finishing touches. The pool is ready to go so enjoy a swim and the BBQ and patio area. If you visit again in the future, the landscaping and pool area are likely to be improved!

The pool house will be locked and unfortunately the shower on the side of the pool house does not work (nor does the drinking fountain), but please enjoy the mermen posing for you there. :)

Welcome to your small, but cozy lakefront studio. It’s 340 sq/ft of cuteness. It is attached to the main house, but you have your own private entrance. Your own deck sitting area right off your patio doors where you can relax with a good book or simply enjoy life at lake. You’ll have access to the dock if you want to bring your fishing pole or just go dangle your toes in the water. If you have a boat, there’s two public launches around the lake. You can anchor on our dock during your stay.

The guest studio is attached to the main house. It has its own entrance. The sidewalk to the left of the house brings you to the deck where the studio patio doors are. Welcome to the lake!

You will have private access to the studio. You’ll also have access to a portion of the deck. You may see me on occasion, but I’m usually in my screened in porch. You’ll have shared access to the dock and backyard. I provide lawn chairs for your enjoyment.

Back deck with privacy screen barriers and electric grill. Backyard has fire pit and dock to park your boat. Kayaks and paddle boat to enjoy. Access to lake is from front door and walk down side yard. Bunk room has 4 twin beds that are wall mounted. Main bedroom with lake views has Henredon furniture and Queen Tempur-pedic topper mattress. Generous closets and set up to host long term stays. Ceiling fans, USB ports, work area.

This split level is essentially operated as a duplex with private separate entrances on opposites sides of home. Your host, Sydney, lives downstairs (walkout level of home) with a dog Phoebe. She is a quiet 50lb Newfiedoodle. Phoebe is never left unattended in the home. I work full time and split my time living at this property.

Noise barriers and no shared spaces in home. Window treatments to feel private from neighborhood.

You’ll have plenty of room in this freshly redesigned and spacious townhouse. Only a few minutes away from the quaint downtown of Forest Lake, this peaceful townhouse is a great space for families! There’s plenty of space to sleep six and make memories at the Juniper House!

The space
The Juniper House was designed with a calming and rustic mid-century vibe offering a mix of peaceful and natural esthetics. This 1800 square foot, 2 level townhouse offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining space, upper and lower living rooms, washer/dryer, and a deck. Although the backyard boasts an apple tree, it’s nothing to write home about…it’s the fresh and earthy atmosphere inside the Juniper House that counts!

Local Stores & Eats:
Forest Lake is a charming little town with local shops and restaurants within a short drive of the Juniper House. Our favorite coffee spot is Kodiak, but for a more urban feel, pick up your cup of joe at the newly opened Coffeesmith. For groceries or basic needs Target, Walmart, Aldi, Cub Foods, & Home Depot are all within a 5-7 minute drive. Some yummy eats at local restaurants include the famous Keys Café, the Lone Oak Grille, or Mallards. The Fairview Lake Medical Center and Running Aces are both only a couple miles up the road.

Local Activities:
Try hunting for antiques at The Vintage Junky; relax at Lakeside Memorial Park and beach, golfing at Forest Hills or Tanners Brook, or treat yourself at the La Grande Beauty Spa.

Home Details: The townhouse is equipped with wireless internet. The home has an air conditioning unit located in the upstairs living room and baseboard heaters throughout. Guests can adjust the heat or air as desired by turning the dial clockwise (each baseboard heater is its own separate unit). Baseboard heaters do get hot to the touch. If little ones present, ensure they keep their distance.

The Juniper House is supplied with a Keurig, tea kettle, toaster, tableware, glassware, pots and pans, as well as basic kitchen supplies. The closet next to the kitchen is stocked with basic cleaning supplies and a vacuum if you should have need of these during your stay.

Streaming: The tv is only equipped with Roku and not DVD capable. Guests will not be able to watch anything if they do not bring personal login information. Guests will need to personally login to streaming apps (Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+) through Roku if they want to watch a movie or catch up on their favorite shows. Please log out prior to check out.

We have labeled and provided instructions where helpful throughout the home. The washer and dryer located in the downstairs laundry room are available for use with detergent provided.

The rest of the house includes fully furnished kitchen with air fryer, coffee maker, toaster, blender, & crockpots. The living room includes 50 in TV, plus a sleeper chair for additional guests. You'll have full access to the entire home and all outdoor spaces, including the backyard and covered patio behind the garage.

Other things to note
The property runs on well water, and we’ve installed a home water softener along with a charcoal filtration. We regularly test the water to ensure it meets safety standards. There may be a slight smell or color due to minerals, we do supply a few gallons of drinking water under the coffee bar as well as drinking water filter in the kitchen.

This property is NOT SUITABLE FOR SMALL CHILDREN: Please note that the property is not fenced and has direct access to open water and the dock. Extra caution is advised. Use of lake and dock at your own risk.

For heating and cooling, our mini-split system is set between 69-72°F to keep the home comfortable. Guests will not have direct access to adjust the thermostat, but if you need any temperature adjustments, just let us know, and we’ll be happy to assist.

Bunk Room (Twin over Twin, Minimal Privacy) The room serves as a pass-through between the living room and the four-season room. Be sure to check the photos of the bunk area to ensure it’s a good fit for your group before booking!

We DO NOT supply life jackets, so please bring some if you plan on swimming especially with children. Use of dock and lake are at your own risk.

Dock Use & Boat Access:
Our 50-foot private dock is available for guest use! Water depth is about 2 feet midway and 3 feet at the end, which is typically suitable for smaller boats like fishing boats or pontoons. Please note: all boats must be pre-authorized prior to using the dock to ensure safe and proper access.

Boat Rental: If you would like to rent a pontoon boat we recommend reaching out to Your Boat Club Dot Com on Forest Lake. Let us know if you do, we will give you a coupon code if there’s one avail.

The cabin is perfect to enjoy Minnesota summers and winters. Located right on the lake enjoy your own private Dock and Beach during the summer or direct snowmobile access in the winter.

OUTDOOR
Private Dock and Beach with plenty of room to swim and play or enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The dock has room for your own boat or RENT OUR PONTOON by the day! There are also two kayaks and a canoe for your boating pleasure. Children and adult life jackets are provided.
Start your day off with your favorite beverage at the breakfast bar on the large deck. Then enjoy lunch or dinner at your outdoor dining area next to a large gas grill where you can test your BBQ talents. You may then decide to relax and enjoy the hot tub (May - October) or the gas firepit, also located on the deck. Why not both!

There is also a wood firepit next to the lake to enjoy S'mores, relax or even tell ghost storie. Roasting sticks and S'mores ingredients are provided. There is also plenty of FREE FIREWOOD for your use!!!

Three bedrooms including one queen bed on the main level, twin bunk beds on the second floor, and king bed in the master bedroom. There is also a (seriously) comfortable fold-out queen bed on second floor. Access to the deck is on the main level and also on second floor. Living room has ample cozy seating to gather by the fireplace and TV. There is a second living space on second floor with a fireplace and desk overlooking the lake.

The lake can be enjoyed year-round! Swim off the dock or shore in the summer, play on the ice in the winter. We include two kayaks for guest use during the warm months.

Welcome to Keewahtin Lake Home, This Lake Home has a modern feel, it sits beautifully on a private lake. Tucked away only 30 miles from the Twin Cities this charming home has 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, It can sleep a total of 19 guests. This home sits on almost an acre with 340 feet of shoreline. Plenty of space for everyone.

The space
Our property has 5 total bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, one which is in the master bedroom. There is 3 bedrooms and 2 baths on the main level and 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom in the lower level. This house sleeps a total of 19 guest.

Upstairs we have two living rooms, one with a lake view and main television , and the other one is off of our big walk in kitchen. This sitting area has a gas fireplace and a very cozy spot to read a book or relax.

The deck is off of the dining room which is In-between the kitchen and the lakeview livingroom.

There is also washer and dryer on main level for your use.

The space
The White Rabbit Retreat is a luxurious and unique 3 bedroom custom lake home with 10 acres on Clear Lake just outside Forest Lake, Minnesota. Whether you are looking for a couple's escape, a family getaway, girls weekend, crafting retreat, or boys poker night; you will have plenty of room to relax and unwind. Large cabin feel, rustic vibes with close, easy access to the cities!

OUTDOOR
With almost 200 feet of lakeshore, you will have amazing views of the water as well as plenty of room to swim and play. The dock offers space for you to bring your own boat or rent one from nearby. Large backyard perfect for games and a fire-pit for bonfires, smores and quality bonding time. There is a large patio off the lower 3-season porch, which features a gas grill and an outdoor dining table that easily seats at least 8.

LIVING AREAS
The soaring three story great room on the main level is the perfect place to hangout by the gas fireplace or watch TV. Settle in for a game of chess, cards or one of the many other board games we supply. Bird and wildlife lover? We have some binoculars and identification guides for your viewing pleasure!

Perfect set up for large family meals! You will love cooking in this chefs kitchen complete with 36" commercial-grade stove top and range hood, Cambria quartz countertops, butcher block island and informal dining room space with seating for 8.

Loft has wonderful lake views, a reading nook with books to share, telescope for star-gazing and a mobile work space for working remote or school work.

If you prefer indoors with the illusion of outdoor, our upper 3-season porch has a large sectional and table for gathering and games with lake views and our lower 3-season porch has high tops and loungers by second gas fireplace with of course, more lake views!

BEDS AND BATHS
The spacious master bedroom on the second floor features a king bed, lake views, ensuite bathroom with double sinks, coffee bar, shower and soaking tub. Walk-in closet with chaise lounge could be used for an extra bed or mothers room. Second floor also includes an additional bedroom with queen and twin beds and ensuite bath with single sink, tub/shower combo. 3rd bedroom is located on main level with lake views features a full bed and bunkbed with full on bottom and twin on top. 3rd bathroom is next door with single sink and shower.

ADDITIONAL SPACES
Laundry room for your use included with washer, dryer, detergent and area to dry wet towels or swimsuits.

Garage has been set up with additional games including a pool table and foosball.

ACCESSIBILITY
All living facilities (living, dining, laundry, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom) are located on the main level and is wheelchair accessible through a ramp in the garage. The property is also flat so no steps or steep slopes to get to the lake!

SEASONAL ACTIVITIES
Summer
We supply two kayaks, one canoe, fishing poles (fishing is PRIME on Clear Lake!), life jackets, beach towels and various water toys and floaties for lake activities. Outdoor games including Cornhole/"Bags", Giant Jenga, Ladder Ball. If you wish to bring a boat, the public launch is only 2 miles away!

Winter
We supply various snow shoes for adventures around our property or on the lake. Cross country ski the lake. Ice fishing is popular on Clear Lake! We do have ice fishing gear (pop-up, sled, Vexilar, fishing poles, available on request).

Fabulous home on Forest Lake with room to play. This 4 Bedroom/2.5 Bath house is on the lake. Bring your boat. Launching area is a short walk from the house, and there is a boat slip at the dock. There is more than enough room to spread out. Light and airy, there is everything you might need for your getaway. Kids can play in the yard. Adults can take time from home. Splash in the heated inground pool with waterslide, relax in the outdoor hot tub, devour delicious food in the beautiful kitchen with an 11-foot island, play arcade games or sit at the bar in the downstairs family room, and spread out in this spacious, 2 story home on an acre lot with private backyard. This home is minutes from great restaurants, public boat launch, shopping, public beach, and entertainment.

The space
Prepare yourself a delicious meal in the fully stocked kitchen or on the large BBQ by the pool. This home offers plenty of seating for eating and relaxing, with 2 living areas with couches on the main floor, plus a family room with bar, arcade games, an infinity game table, and X Box with game pass.

You will have plenty of seating when dining in. There is a table in the kitchen that can seat 6 and a huge island, that can seat another 6.

Guests have access to the whole house, except a few locked closets for storage. Guests do not have access to the garage.

All bedrooms have blackout shades for a great night’s sleep.

The heated, in-ground pool will be open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Pool will still be open in September, but guests will need to pay a separate fee to have the pool heated. We have the pool maintained via cleaning, chemicals, and such once per week. We will be monitoring the chemical levels through a smart device throughout your stay and may need to instruct you to add some simple chemicals throughout your stay depending on your usage and weather, to keep the pool in optimal condition for your enjoyment.

There is room for 2 cars to park side by side in the driveway and many more can park behind them in the driveway. Guests will not have access to the garage.

The home is 1 mile to downtown Forest Lake and 30 miles to Minneapolis.
