I live upstairs (I do have a baby but no pets). The rooms are located in the basement and has a separate entrance locked off from the rest of the house. I won't be in any part of your space.

We are very easy going, go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. All we ask is being respectful of our home and neighborhood. We look forward to hosting you!

Perfect for your summer vacation and making new memories! You will feel like you are in the country but are conveniently in the city. This home is on Lake McCarron with both a dock and swim dock perfect for fishing or swimming or just sitting and watching the sunrise and sunset. The Gateway bike trail starts on the lake and goes miles connecting with several other bike trails. With 4 bedrooms, one on the main floor, 3 baths, a fully equipped kitchen and tons of outdoor living space. The wrap around patio has a Weber gas grill, a weber charcoal grill and 3 sitting areas, the sun porch is perfect for relaxing. Evenings you can enjoy a fire in the fire pit with seating area around it. There is a front yard sitting area with chiminea as well.

With quick access to Hwy 694, 36 and both 35's this charming log cabin is located in a beautiful and convenient area of the Twin Cities. You'll enjoy the melodies of loons with your morning coffee and vibrant evening sunsets. Be careful of cars....they’re always slowing down on our road to see the local deer families....my goodness those fawns are cute! There is many beautiful local parks to explore or great shopping at Rosedale Mall just minutes away. Under 10 miles to either UofM campuses, along with many other University's: Bethel, Northwestern-St. Paul, Concordia, and Hamline. Minutes to either downtowns to get the Xcel Center, US Bank Stadium, Winter Carnival and Minnesota State Fair Grounds.

The space
Walking in, you'll enjoy the distinct log aroma that warms your soul and transports you to a tranquil corner of the world. Nicknamed "Owasso Marina" we have always had several docks and water toys (kayak, floaties, paddle bikes and paddle boat) which we will provide the same for our valued guests. Additionally, guests can try fishing, waterskiing, boating, or swimming during the warmer months and ice fishing, skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating and snowmobiling during the frozen months.

Pets
1-2 well behaved, 100% housebroken dog guests allowed. Must be discussed and approved by owners before final booking. When human guests are away, the dog guest must be crated. There will be an additional fee for dog guests.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire 1st floor and master bedroom loft that overlooks the living room and dining room. They can enjoy the lake views from the deck off the living room and the lower patio and deck space at the lake level. A separate dock is available for any guests that wish to bring a watercraft. There are several other water toys and life jackets available, if needed. Door to basement is locked for homeowners use. If we visit the basement, it will be through the lake side basement door and will only be for short periods of time for business operations.

Other things to note
Our home is located on a paver stone private drive that parallels a railroad track. There are 8 intimate homes on the drive and it’s just over a car width wide, so please do not park in the roadway in order to allow the neighbors ample room to come and go. The roadway is a driveway for our homes and often times the neighbors, their kids and/or pets are socializing, playing or working in the yards, driveways or the roadway…so please drive slowly and don’t hesitate to wave, stop to say “Hi!” and introduce yourself!

Possible noise
Private drive parallels railroad track which may run during daylight hours. An 8-10 car train runs 5mph and sounds horn at the top of the hill for car traffic. It’s part of our “up north” atmosphere in the middle of the Twin Cities!

- "Clean; seem like nearly new rugs; quiet neighborhood; parks and playground within 1-2 miles; firm new matresses; bright and airy; quiet floors - no one was awakened by people walking above them; as much hot water as we could use, 4 car driveway plus 3 car curbside parking. Our host texted us multiple times to see if we had any questions or needs. Dining space tight for a group the size of this house, but the nice, covered and well lit backporch table allows expansion. I mean really - an osprey in the back tree with a fish caught 100 yards away in Lake Owasso, and a pair of Baltimore orioles, added to a great morning while visiting on the back porch. The Holly House is located in a quiet suburban neighborhood of St. Paul. Homes in the area are well maintained and are occupied by both young and old. Universities and colleges near by: Hamline, Bethel, Macalester, Northwestern, U of M (St. Paul & Mpls.), Augsburg, St. Thomas, and St. Catherine. Other: U S Bank Stadium, Como Zoo, and MN Museum of Science. Centrally located between downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis, public transportation. Excellent room and location for students.

The space
The home-like bedroom includes a full size bed, gliding rocking chair, and a desk for study or other use, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, shelves for storing food or other items, and drawers for clothing. The bedroom is located on the first floor, conveniently located near the front entrance and set apart from the host family areas. The bathroom is located immediately next to the bedroom.

Guest access
In addition to the bedroom, guests will have a semi-private bathroom (shared with one other guest), shared and limited use of the kitchen, use of the laundry room, and occasional use of the living room, front patio and back deck.

During your stay
The hosts will be available 24 x 7 to assist a guest with questions, problems or concerns. The hosts will respect the wishes of the guest to interact as much or as little as is desired by the guest. The hosts are sociable and very welcoming to social interaction with guests.

Welcome! You will have a private living space, bedroom and bathroom downstairs as well as driveway parking. You have a private entrance through the garage to your space. It's a single family home in a very safe neighborhood. If you are allergic to or do not like cats or dogs, this is not the place for you. They are kept out of the downstairs though. It's centrally located so you can get to Minneapolis or St. Paul quickly and easily. We are walking distance from Central Park.

The space
It is a very nice single family home. It has a great open first floor with a nice kitchen if you like to cook. It's close to parks, lakes and shopping.

Guest access
You'll have a parking space in the driveway in front of the single car garage which is on the front of the house. You will have access to the kitchen, dining room, laundry, bathrooms, the guest room and the downstairs living room.

During your stay
I generally have an active schedule. I tend to spend my time in the upstairs living room and nook. Feel free to ask any questions; I want you to have a great stay!

Other things to note
If stairs are difficult, this is probably not the space for you. There are stairs from the driveway to the front entry door, and your private living space is downstairs with the full kitchen upstairs. There is a mini kitchen downstairs in the laundry room with a microwave, fridge, countertop stove and countertop burner though.

Our place is close to the Fairgrounds, the U of M east campus, and both downtowns. You’ll love my place because of the views, the people, the outdoors space, the ambiance, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Easy access to public transportation with new Micro Bus service.

Walk out basement apartment of our single family home in the centrally located suburb of Roseville. Minutes from Como Park, the State Fair Grounds and Hamline University. 5 min from the U of M St Paul campus and 10 min from the U of M Mpls campus. 15 min from either downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul. 15 min from US Bank Stadium or Huntington Bank Stadium. 10 min from Allianz Field. 25 min from the airport and the Mall of America. Very quiet and safe neighborhood!!

The space
Large basement apartment (over 1000 sq feet) that we use to rent out. Has private entrance so very separate from our upstairs living area. Large kitchen with fridge, microwave and stove. Island with bar stools and table eating area for 6. Very large bathroom with deep tub and a separate shower. 2 bedrooms - 1 is very small with twin bed. (Note - the 2 rooms are on opposite sides of the apt. so if you have small children they may not want to sleep in that 2nd room. We could however set them up with a twin blow-up bed, if needed.) Couch can sleep 2. Queen air mattress can sleep another 2 to accommodate up to 7 in apt. Your own washer/dryer in the apt. Left side of the garage parking spot. Great place for longer stays - we host a lot of people either moving in state or out of state and between homes. Private - we often do not even meet our guests unless we run into them outside when coming or going. Very close to Cub Foods (188 steps) and other other local restaurants. ***Update to a previous review--We had a concern of a smell in the apt. We have since figured out that this was a bad interpretation of a Glade Plug In. It has been removed and subsequent guests have not had an issue.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! This private room in a 3 bed, 1.5 bath house is close proximity to everything! Also dog friendly! :) One of the rooms is currently occupied by another person and a dog. So your room will be one of the other two available!

The living room has a few couches and a chair for seating. There's a Roku TV that you're welcome to use. No cable tv, but there is wifi!

There are 3 bedrooms. One bedroom has a two queen beds. Another room has a full bed. And another room has a twin over full bunk bed.

There's a pack and play for families with little ones!

Dogs are also welcome! There's a spacious fenced in backyard. I just ask if you leave without the dogs to crate them or keep them in one of the bedrooms. I have a large crate you can use.

The lake is a great for swimming, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing. Fishermen go out for northern, bass, muskie and walleye. Fisherman are active winter and summer. Many people cross country ski the lake in the winter.

You have access to the whole first level of the house--kitchen, living room, dining room, bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, patio and washer/dryer!

The kitchen is supplied with dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, coffee pot, toaster, blender, etc. There is also a island counter top island with stools for additional seating.

The living room has a few couches and a chair for seating. There's a Roku TV that you're welcome to use. No cable tv, but there is wifi!

There are 3 bedrooms. One bedroom has a a queen bed. And the other two have a full bed in each room.

There's a pack and play and high chair for families with little ones!

Dogs are also welcome! There's a spacious fenced in backyard. I just ask if you leave without the dogs to crate them or keep them in one of the bedrooms. I have two crates you can use (one large, one medium).

Long term stays are welcome, just inquire and let me know how long you are thinking! :)

🧻We start guests off with a generous amount of essentials, we do not restock after our starter items (toiletries, etc) have run out. We ask for you to only use what you need during your stay at our rental

🌷🌸 We have small air freshener containers in some areas of the house to neutral the house between groups. Guests are welcome to set them to the side during their visit if undesired. Please note if sensitive to scents.

House Rules:

🚮♻️ If you are Checked in the night before Garbage/Recycling day, you will be asked to roll bins down for pick up. Pick up day is Thursday morning.

🏡 Quiet hours 10PM-7:30AM

🚫 No large gatherings or events allowed, only guests listed on the reservation are allowed on the property. If house rules are broken we reserve the right to cancel your reservation without a refund.

🚫 🚬No smoking inside the rental, no smoking inside garage. You can smoke outside away from the house and any open windows. There will be a $200 fee if smoking rules are violated and extra cleaning is required

Charming log cabin - PONTOON INCLUDED with May-September stays. With quick access to Hwy 694, 36 and both 35's we are located in a beautiful, quiet and convenient area of the Twin Cities. You'll enjoy the melodies of loons with your morning coffee and vibrant evening sunsets. Perfect for out of town getaway, staycation or traveling for work. Many beautiful local parks and great shopping minutes away at Rosedale Mall. Minutes to either downtowns.

The space
When walking in, you'll enjoy the distinct log aroma that warms your soul and transports you to a tranquil corner of the world. Our 25 year old log home is located on Lake Owasso which is only a 15 feet from the back of the log house. You'll feel transported to an "up north" getaway with the breeze off the lake, wild turkeys roaming the yards, deer grazing in the fields and bald eagles soaring overhead.

Nicknamed "Owasso Marina" we have always had several docks and water toys (kayak, floaties, aqua bikes and paddle boat) which we will provide the same for our valued guests. Additionally, guests can try fishing, waterskiing, boating, or swimming during the warmer months and ice fishing, skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating and snowmobiling during the frozen months.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire 1st floor and master bedroom loft that overlooks the living room and dining room. They can enjoy the lake views from the deck off the living room and the lower patio and deck space at the lake level. A separate dock is available for any guests that wish to bring a watercraft. There are several other water toys and life jackets available, if needed. Door to basement is locked for homeowners use. If we visit the basement, it will be through the lake side basement door and will only be for short periods of time for business operations.

Pets
1-2 well behaved, 100% housebroken dog guests may be allowed. Must be discussed and approved by owners before final booking. When human guests are away, the dog guest must be crated. There will be additional fees for dog guests.

Other things to note
Our home is located on a paver stone private drive that parallels a railroad track. There are 8 intimate homes on the drive and it’s just over a car width wide, so please do not park in the roadway in order to allow the neighbors ample room to come and go. The roadway is a driveway for our homes and often times the neighbors, their kids and/or pets are socializing, playing or working in the yards, driveways or the roadway…so please drive slowly and don’t hesitate to wave, stop to say “Hi!” and introduce yourself!

It runs around Lake McCarron and goes through urban landscapes of eastern Saint Paul in Ramsey County and rural farmland and forests in Washington County. Mpls is 12 min, downtown St Paul less than 10, Stillwater and the St Croix River only 20 minutes or bike it. MSP is 20 minutes away as is the Mall of America. Rosedale Mall is 20 minutes away with AMC movie theatre. Within 3 blocks is Cub Foods, Joes' Sporting Goods, Caribou Coffee, Setzer Pharmacy, Walgreens, a diverse choice of restaurants , and more...but you may not want to leave the lake!
