This is a mother in law apartment in the lower level of my house. Bright and colorful. Fun feeling of the mid 60s.

One bedroom with a comfy queen size bed, dressers and closet space.

Rumpus room has a fold down sofa with a memory foam topper for comfort. The rumpus room has an electric built in fireplace, TV with Roku Stick, Games, puzzles and cards are in the bookcase for evenings or rainy days. Darts anyone?

The kitchenette/ bar area has bar seating. It is a very usable kitchenette with stove, microwave, refrigerator, mixer, blender, coffee maker and k-cup brewer, electric kettle and a waffle maker. There is even a couple fondue pots to really get into the spirit.

The bedroom has a comfy queen size bed. There room in the closet and dresser for your things. Laundry/bath area is a colorful space. There is a good size shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. A blow dryer is in the cubby next to the sink. A full size washer and dryer and iron are in there. That space also has an elliptical, exercise balls, bands and a few other work out tools.

Come out and join me in the shared screen porch when it is warm out. The yard is fenced and has some nice gardens when its warm out. You are certainly welcome to come out and help me pull some weeds. Since the yard if fully fenced it is great for your doggos. We have one here. She is an older Husky named Bella. Climb up into the tree house or let the kids go down the slide.

There is a gas grill right outside the porch door. We grill year around here in Minnesota. We are a hardy type.

There is ONE space available for your parking.

This is a nice neighborhood with a park just a block away and 4 blocks from the city public pool and water park. Kent Hrbeck fields are there too for ball games. Moire park has 9 Mile creek flowing through it with walking paths, frisbe golf, and sometimes concerts in the park. It is a busy street but the neighbors walk by and talk across the fence. The back yard gives you privacy with a grill and fire pit. The city created bike lanes throughout the city including on the street in front of the house. There are plenty of restaurants close by and great grocery stores. We are only a few miles from the Mall of America. and just a little further to an outlet mall and Southdale Center. Minnesota does not charge tax on clothing purchases. The Museums and art galleries in the cities are fabulous. There are several churches and a mosque close by. Nice people of all different types live in this neighborhood.

This may be a good place to stay while a loved one is in one of our cities fine hospitals. Many have stayed while they are in town looking for a new home or are between closings. It's a little home away from home.

There are Ring doorbells at the doors and a Ring camera pointing at the garage and gate.

- "When we booked this we did not realize there was a 19 year old that would be staying in the basement while we were there. We also did not know there would be cameras watching us inside the home. The VRBO was not ready when we came but we had not a lot of options. It was pretty dirty. The owner provided us with cleaning things but did not clean it prior to us getting there. It seemed like the owner was trying to make a fast buck and just wasn’t ready. The VRBO has three rooms that can be rented with a shared kitchen and one bathroom. It is not set up for a relaxing stay for vacation. It wasn’t very clean or welcoming. The owner was nice but again didn’t seem like they were ready for a someone to stay here. The location is good for Mall of America. Good parking area for multiple vehicles. We just didn’t like someone watching us on camera and staying in the basement while we were there. Just not ideal in todays society."

They are open for conversation and questions if you have any, otherwise they respect your privacy and leave you to your space and your comfort :). You are only sharing the keyless main entry and the fenced in back yard during warmer days with them. They are often away on weekends as well.

Free parking on the driveway of the home. $100 additional monthly fee for 1 garage parking. This will not fit a truck.

Clean, newly finished light-filled lower level apartment with a side entrance and garage. If needed, I do have an extra twin bed that can be set up for an occasional extra guest.

Use the front-side door via the attached garage and take the stairway to your unit. Park free in garage, on driveway or in street. Metro buses have two stops within a block or two. Of course there is Uber and Lyft to rely upon. The light rail runs from the Mall of America to both airports and downtown areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

HOUSEKEEPING
We provide housekeeping services upon request for a fee; the fee is collected via AirBnB and paid directly to our housekeepers.

SUPPLIES
We provide basic supplies to get you started, such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand and dish soap, sponges, trash bags, etc. This is a vacation/rental home which means you are responsible to provide all other items beyond the initial provided supplies.

Please do not take any items from designated housekeeping supplies, these are for our housekeepers only; charge will be assessed for any designated housekeeping supplies used by you or your guests.

TRASH DISPOSAL
Please dispose of the trash daily in the designated shared trash receptacle (accessed via pin code in a closed garage just steps away from our home).

PARKING INFO
*Parking in designated guest parking only (all other spots are tow-zones without required permit)
* Parking Permit available upon request with a $100 deposit (refundable provided the permit is returned at check out)

MAIL/ONLINE PURCHASES
Mail/packages may be rejected by USPS/UPS as they require the owner name to be on the packages. DO NOT MAIL OR SHIP PACKAGES TO OUR HOME.

If you need to make an online purchase, we have a secure PO Box it may be sent to; contact us for the address and inform us if you are expecting something so we can be sure to deliver it to you in a timely fashion. Keep in mind we are not responsible for unexpected issues with your online purchases or for mail/packages sent to our home. If you have any questions, please contact us.

PLEASE NOTE: additional charges apply when the owner has to fix items damaged during your stay or pay for additional, excessive cleaning. All damages, spills/stains should be promptly reported to the owner to minimize damage and expense.

WATER
Tap water is potable. The City of Bloomington consistently has some of the best tasting water/quality of water in the state!

Cold Water: please run the tap for 3-5 minutes to get cool water. (The main pipeline coming into the complex runs warm.)

The perfect place to stay for work or play! Curl up in front of the fireplace on the full-sized couch and stream your favorite shows on the flat screen TV (Netflix only, no cable) or take a break from relaxing and get some work done on the desk or in the 4 seasons porch/dining area. Eat takeout in the dining room overlooking the private backyard or make your own meal with the full kitchen. The place is fully stocked, from dishes and silverware, fresh towels and sheets, to soap and shampoo.

The space
This is the entire main floor of a duplex house with two private bedrooms. The living room has a full-sized couch and loveseat and lots of space for air mattresses if you have a large group. Central air and heat throughout the house with a thermostat to control the temperature to your liking. We've included all the essentials to make you feel right at home.
PLEASE NOTE: this is a duplex. There is a unit in the lower level.

Guest access
You'll have access to the entire main level of the house, the private deck and use of the large backyard.

Other things to note
There is another listing in the basement so there may be others coming and going from the side door. We ask you please be courteous of the other guests below you (no jumping jacks please :) and limit noise after 10pm. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen but it is not working - dishes must be washed by hand.
The washing machine is a smaller unit that hooks up to the kitchen sink. There are drying racks for drying clothes, but no clothes dryer.

When making your reservation request, please be aware that the number of guests you listed when booking is the maximum that will be allowed to stay overnight. There is a strict noise policy; no noise heard from outside after 10pm or you may be asked to leave without notice or refund.

The space
Duplex home in the heart of the Twin Cities. Complete privacy. One floor living, three bedrooms, one with a desk for work if needed, full kitchen, dining room, and living room with couch for sleeping. There are no stairs in the living area. Two queen-size beds (one is a high-quality Stearns and Foster), one pull-out sofa, and two full baths with a master walk-in shower with handicap bars and a seat if needed.

We charge a higher cleaning fee because our cleaning goes above and beyond. This includes washing all bedding, including all quilts and blankets. We also wash all bathroom rugs, throw rugs, and blankets. Floors are steam cleaned, and the kitchen and baths are meticulously disinfected.

Original art by a local Minnesota artist and our mother. If she were still here, our mother would have loved to have a glass of wine with each and every one of you. We are trying to keep this home in her honor, so we appreciate everyone who rents our home. You are not just a renter; you are a treasured guest who is helping us create a legacy for our children and grandchildren, and our nieces and nephews. A place where all of us can gather or visit to continue to build strong family connections, which our mother always made a priority. Love was at the root of it all. Now, this home where she used to live will brim with families, not just ours, and we couldn't ask for more.

There are two big, and just a bit ugly, leather recliners in the family room. Since these two chairs are so popular with many of our guests, they will stay (for now). We would love to know if you like them too.

The garage will not be accessible; we currently use it for boat storage, but you will have access to an entire driveway for parking.

We have a high chair, baby monitor, and Bjorn portable crib if needed. We can also add a Snoo for an additional rental fee that is reasonable.
