We especially appreciated how clean everything was. The gardens and outside fire pit area was an added bonus. We have made this Canal Builder’s 1850’s era home into a comfortable and fun place to enjoy while visiting the Lambertville and New Hope areas. - "I had the pleasure of staying at this delightful private apartment/studio in July. I was not looking to cook much during my 3 night stay. There are many options to eat in Lambertville and New Hope. But I also brought provisions which were accommodated by the fridge, microwave, and electric griddle. If you are looking to cook meals, this may not be the place for you. It was perfectly suited for myself -- a lovely reading nook, outdoor seating to relax and eat, and easily walkable to the paths of the Delaware & Raritan Tow Path. I was looking for a place that was easily accessible to the lovely town of Lambertville/ New Hope, safe, and close to all the wonderful outdoor activities-- hiking, biking and kayaking. All of which i was able to enjoy while staying in this humble abode. Leah, the host, was very accommodating and responsive. Kudos for a wonderful stay!"

- "We were in New Hope for the weekend for a wedding celebration. We rented this place which was perfect location for where all the festivities were. We were in walking distance to most everything great house. It only has one full bath, but we worked with it. The only thing I would say is the living room could’ve been more comfortable with couches instead of just chairs so it’s hard to just relax and lounge if you wanted to and it did rain so we didn’t have the outdoor unfortunately to spend some time on the patio, which had a nice set on it, all in all, I would definitely stay again. beds were comfy. Kitchen nice set up and equipped. Host was good at getting back to us."

- "Great cozy apartment located in the heart of downtown Lambertville. Perfect little getaway with all the amenities of home!!" - "The apartment was cute and clean, and in a great location. We had a great stay. I have a few suggestions to inform renters of, though: *The kitchen and bathroom ceilings are low in parts. My husband is 6’ tall and had to bend over a bit at times in order to not hit his head. *The stairs in the apartment are steep and narrow, and the ceiling is low for part of the climb. It was a bit challenging to lug our suitcases up the stairs - especially while bending over - and a bit scary going down. These things were not dealbreakers, though, and our stay inspired me to pack lighter."

The space
Enter the space from your own private front porch, which overlooks farm fields & beautiful old shade trees. The room is an open concept studio apartment w/ a separate sleeping area, eating area, tv and sitting area, kitchen, & full bathroom with a beautifully tiled stall shower. Also has a walk-in closet. With plenty of natural light, the high ceilings add elegance and interest to this 400 square foot space. You'll feel instantly cozy and comfortable in this home away from home.

Guest access
This is a one bedroom studio space. It has a full kitchen with plenty of cooking amenities if you prefer to cook at home, and a full bath with a large stall shower. Enter from a private front door entrance, which you reach via a brick walkway from the driveway. Plenty of parking but please be mindful of not blocking other cars in. Guests have full use of the front and side yard areas surrounding the suite. Feel free to visit our goats by watching them from the fence but please do not go inside the barn or the goat's field. We also have a sweet outdoor cat, Cookie, who will surely say hello when she sees you. But please do not let her inside, even if she acts like it's ok to follow you! She loves people and often follows them to the door. Please feel free to give her some love whenever you see her outside. There's also access to a firepit and outdoor dining table if you like to enjoy the outdoors.

Other things to note
We do rent out another space on Air Bnb on the other side of the house so if you have a larger group, you could book both spaces and be on the same property! Our other listing is called fiddleheadfarm...send us a message if you have trouble finding it since we can't post links here.

At Fiddlehead Farm, your guest suite has a private entrance through sliding glass doors that cover two entire walls. Plenty of natural light & spectacular views of our fields and barn. This spacious "studio" apt has 12 foot ceilings, a wood burning fireplace, & kitchenette w/eating area. Plenty of space to rest, relax, read, eat, work, or just take in the scenery.

The space
Attached to our home but with it's own separate entrance, your space will be quiet & private. PLEASE note you will sometimes hear us, our 2 young kids and our dogs during the day in our portion of the home, since our kitchen & tv room are on the other side of the space. We will be as quiet as we possibly can. Our sleeping areas are far enough away that you won't hear much of us after 8 pm. Mostly during mealtime when we use our kitchen.

Our dogs never have access to your room, but if you have allergies to dogs this probably isn't the right place for you.

Room is complete with a super comfy Queen-size bed, couch and loveseat that pulls out to a twin bed if needed. TV with Apple TV provided. Amazon Prime included, plus any subscriptions you have and can log into. Kitchenette area includes fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster & table for eating or laptop friendly workspace.

Continental breakfast options will be provided. The sliding glass doors make up two complete walls of your room & give plenty of natural light, panoramic views and beautiful sunsets!

Your space is on the back side of our house. Please note there is a security camera facing the driveway for security. It does not scan any interior space or your patio space. To respect your privacy, we will not be wandering around outside in the yard near your room during your stay. So we hope you will leave the curtains open during the day to enjoy the beautiful views of the fields and wildlife!

Guest access
From your parking space in the driveway, follow the stone path onto our back patio on the rear of our house to your private entrance into this large room with loads of natural light and tremendous views! A sliding patio door will bring you in and out of your space. It's the 3rd door you'll come to on the backside of our house, past the patio table. Feel free to use the patio outside of your room, and the grassy area by your room where the firepit is. This is where the best sunsets are. Feel free to explore around the barn as well, but please do not go inside. There are goats in the back behind the barn. Please stay outside of their fenced area as they can be physical and ram into you. We welcome you to enjoy them from outside of their fenced area. Please respect our privacy and do not wander out back beyond your entrance and patio area, meaning the pavers around the non-functioning pool. This is also for your safety as the pool is a mess; a project we hope to tackle in the next couple years. There are plenty of other areas to explore. Keep watch for wildlife all around you! Fox, Deer, beautiful birds, and more!

Other things to note
PLEASE note we have a very friendly kitty that will probably greet you in the driveway & follow you to your door. She is NOT permitted in the room, no matter how much she tries to persuade you. She is an outdoor cat only.

Your entrance will be well lit at night & easy to come & go from as you please. If you hope to enjoy the outdoors, the back patio is for your use so please let us know ahead of time if you'd like us to put out the cushions on the chairs! We like to keep them in storage out of the weather when not in use. Everything in the room or in unlocked closets or cabinets is for your use, so help yourself & please let us know if there's anything you need to make your stay more comfortable!

We also have cornhole boards for your use in the yard but we store them when not in use. If you'd like to have them available please let us know prior to your stay and we will leave them outside for you near the goats.

Speaking of the goats, yes they are ours and they LOVE visitors! We ask that you not feed them, but feel free to walk over to the white fence & say hello. They like to show off by ramming into the fence or each other. They are harmless but please be mindful and keep your arms and fingers safe!

The Belle House is a five minute drive down Route 29 to Route 95/295. This home is located approximately 45 minutes from Central Philadelphia, 10 minutes from the Trenton/Mercer airport, less than 10 minutes to many local restaurants and activities.

The Belle House is also located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Princeton and Princeton University, less than 15 minutes to The College of New Jersey or Rider University, 20 minutes to The Cure insurance Arena in Trenton, and centrally located for any travel up and down the 95/295 Corridor.
