Everything, including the furniture and appliances, is brand new. The bunk beds were perfect for our grandkids, and we all enjoyed the back yard. And the garage was a nice bonus! LATE CHECK-OUTS

MAINTENANCE
Understand that we are at the mercy of the property management maintenance team for most general “fix-it” requests. We ask that all our guests are patient and understanding in regards to this. If a previous guest has damaged something minor and we were unable to fix it before check in, it will be reported to the staff, but it is dependent on the maintenance team’s schedule. Examples: blinds, curtains, and lightbulbs fall under the “non-emergency” maintenance category and won’t be completed until they’ve addressed any emergency requests around the property first.

PETS
This property allows (2) dogs for an additional pet fee of $100. Guests are required to pick up after their pets; this includes solid waste. If you leave the property, pets must be penned up or kenneled in the house. Pets must be leashed when in the neighborhood. No more than two (2) pets may be at the property. The pet’s weight shall not exceed twenty pounds. If a pet causes any property damage, it needs to be reported immediately, and the pet owner will be responsible for all repairs. The house is not a barn and we don’t want it to smell like one, we love dogs and we have one ourselves, but the house needs to be ready to accommodate the next guest. If the cleaners have to due extra cleaning due to the dog(s), you will be charged an extra fee of $200.

PARTIES/EXTRA GUESTS
The complex enforces a strict no-parties/noise violation policy to all residents. This includes all guests. If you throw a party, trash the space, damage the unit, disrespect the property, or have a gathering with extra guests that are not reported in your initial booking, you are breaking the rules and will be fined $200 as well as the cost of any damages.

CLEANING
Our cleaning fee is based on a courteous guest (e.g someone who cleans up after themselves, puts dishes in the dishwasher, towels/linens in the washer, leaves the place as they found it, etc.) This is NOT a hotel. If the housekeeping crew discovers an unreasonable mess post-checkout, we will charge an additional fee of $100.

EXTRA TOWELS/LINENS
Please understand and accept that our housekeeping crew needs to cover a great number of units per day and within a short window of time. To accommodate the busy schedules, they often need to leave the CLEAN towels drying in the dryer and then move on. If you do not see enough towels/linens for you when you arrive, please check the dryer.

You'll stay in a 35' camper equipped with a queen bed, fold out sleeper sofa, lounge chairs, and a camper sized bathroom with a stand up shower. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, cups. If you are up for cooking, you'll find pots and pans, too. There is a TV in the living area along with a working electric fireplace.

The camper is located at the end of a long driveway, at the back end of a 2 acre lot. You can leave the alarm clock at home because the roosters have you covered! Our free range cluckers usually stay away but they are friendly...especially when treats are involved!

Our 1914 Craftsman home is just blocks from downtown Waxahachie and Nelson University (formerly SAGU). Private entrance to a large suite with a sitting area, kitchenette, workspace with WiFi, and a private bathroom.

Please be aware that our city has recently enacted a "Short Term Rental" ordinance and we are now required to collect and remit local Hotel Occupancy Taxes, which will be added to our nightly fee. Also, our room is licensed for 2 guest only, unless you have an infant.

The space
You'll enjoy the queen bed, private bath and quiet neighborhood. The room's decorated to fit the vintage vibe. The kitchenette is fully stocked with dishes, toaster, blender and many other necessities. Full refrigerator and microwave, along with a Keurig coffee maker with Community Coffee, and a selection of teas. Our sitting area has two comfortable wingback chairs.

We recently installed a split unit so that the room has its own HVAC system. You have control of the thermostat!

We do have a dog and cat that live with us, however, they are never allowed in the room. Since the new HVAC unit in the room is not connected to our home HVAC, I don't think that any animal allergens contaminate the room. But if you have severe animal allergies, just please be aware of the animals.

Welcome to La Casita, a stylish, detached guest room. It is very cozy and peaceful, located in a cul-de-sac surrounded by trees and is just minutes away from Joe Pool Lake, and only 30 minutes from Downtown Dallas.

The guest room includes all the basic necessities, has access to an outdoor lounge area with a pool and a outdoor cabana area with a gas grill, fireplace, and tv.
