Located on 80 private acres, there is both room to roam and space to gain from the rest of the world. You could have a perfectly lovely stay without ever leaving the property, but if the allure of the town (Cambria), the coast or Hearst Castle call to you, everything is just a brief drive away. The house is spacious and well appointed, and you don't need to venture out much, just sit back and enjoy the views. The only question I have was about the home details on VRBO and the suggestion that a nature walk can be a fine activity. I got the feeling that they wanted you to stay on the 1+ acre property surrounding the house, not walk down the road and off the property. The only other complaint was that the sliding glass doors were a struggle to open (one did not lock) and the screen doors were needing screen replacement. I still gave the property 5 stars (more if possible), and would definitely return again. When split with 2 couples, this is a fantastic value. Thanks to the owners for providing detailed instructions upon arrival and after our stay!"
