Beds were super comfortable, couch great for post activity lounging, everything was clean and the kitchen had all utensils, cookware and appliances that are required. If you must have a dish washer, you're out of luck here. There was a nice big sink though. There was an outdoor hose as well, which was great for us. The neighbour was super nice and chatty as well."

Interior of the house was very clean but missing lots of basic things that would make a huge difference in convenience. For example, zero furniture in the main bedroom meant keeping all of our luggage and items on the floor. No hangers or ways to hang anything in the master closet. Hardly any towel hooks. Can't seat four people at the table the way it's tucked into the "nook" (one of the chairs is flush against the wall). Nice to have a hot tub but it seemed kind of dirty and no designated spa towels. Also the listing says the kitchen is "fully stocked with pots and pans" and we literally could only find one pan to cook in. Wonder if maybe some items got taken and the owner hasn't checked in awhile? Overall not terrible but honestly not worth it if you're exploring coastal areas."

- "The apartment was immaculate and nicely furnished. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with some pretty walking areas. It is connected to a large home’s garage and shares the driveway/ parking areas. Family lives in adjoining house, so doesn’t feel totally private. There are steep stairs to climb up to the apartment so if that is an issue- good to know. I was expecting a keyless entry. There are 2 attached keys in 2 separate lockboxes requiring combo codes to access the keys. Not the easiest system. Keys remain in lockbox at all times. The lockbox next to apartment door at top of stairs was at waist level which made it more difficult to access without maneuvering. "

Our home is in Salinas. It is only a 30 min drive from Monterey, the aquarium, beaches, and hiking areas!

Two discounted aquarium passes can be used for your stay. You may come before check-in (4pm) to pick up passes. Two passes ($100 value) for $50. Single pass for $25. Guest passes cannot be reserved on check-out day.

In my home there is all tile and wood flooring, no carpet! Perfect for anyone who tends to get those pesky allergies. I provide coffee to all guests every morning.

My mom wakes at 5am everyday to make food for my dad. Although the noise is minimal and short lived, the pans do make some noise. If you are a light sleeper you’ve been warned :)

The main room is a cozy private room decorated by my oldest sister. It is spacious and the natural lighting that comes in from the backyard is impeccable. Then queen bed is only smaller side of queen but it’s a super comfy mattress.

COVID-19 ATTENTION:

Due to safety measures, we ask that you stay in the designated booking areas. Everything in the rooms is well kept and constantly disinfected for your safety.

The space
1950's mid-century older home charm. Sunny, spacious rooms with original, hardwood floors, peaceful décor & very comfortable. Large room with beautiful, raised bed, covered with a colorful quilt. Desk for computer or grooming. Room comes with fresh towels for showering. All toiletries are provided in private bath with entrance located in the room.
Store your own drinks or leftovers or any foods required for specific dietary needs. Being mindful of California’s drought, plan on brief showers for the good of the planet.
There is a small dog that lives in this home. She loves people but is not a good fit with other animals, so no guest pets are allowed. You will enjoy your stay here if you like animals. Otherwise, a different listing may be your best choice.

Guest access
Private room with step in shower, sink & lavatory with in room entrance. Locking door, windows for ventilation & a free standing fan, if you prefer a breeze & white noise for sleeping. Two USB areas, one on each side of the bed, to charge lap tops and other electronics.

Your room comes with a small refrigerator, microwave and hot water pot. Spring water and 2 K- cups daily.

Common areas with television are welcoming too unless you prefer privacy. Washer & dryer available on request, when available, for one small load of laundry, washed and dried before 10 pm.

Street parking directly in front of my home. Please park so the street area can accommodate two vehicles. If there should not be close, in street parking, at times, the far, right side of my driveway is available with host notification.

During your stay
I like to help guests be aware of where they can find what they need and answer any questions. I love sharing a couple of stories about our beautiful city and best visitor destinations. There are excellent eateries & breweries.

Check in times are always 6pm to 10 pm. Special exceptions will be available for after hour flights or airline delays and verified car malfunctions. If you do not reside in the PST zone, your confirmation page may post the wrong check in and check out time. Host must be informed of delays promptly.

Please stay in communication with me if you experience car trouble or a traffic delay as soon as the delay starts and give me your new arrival time. Otherwise, a $25 late fee, per hour, will be requested through Airbnb resolution center.

Other things to note
This is like a slice of life. Since I live here, you have the opportunity to see the world a little differently from a local person's viewpoint.
Check in times are normally, 6pm until 9:45pm. Earlier self check in, use of kitchen, can sometimes be arranged through prior communication with host. There is a $25, per hour, late fee for arrivals after 10 pm or check outs after 10am.

Private Room with Private Bathroom. Newly remodeled. You’ll have full privacy in this purple room. One of my favorite room in my house. Cozy w/ a brand new bed. It has tv, mini Fridge, Microwave & Keurig Single coffee machine. Has plenty of street parking. The property is near Big Sur & Monterey (30 min drive) Natividad Hospital 5 min drive, Mall, Movie Theaters, Parks and Shopping Center is within 5 to 10 min.

There is a fee if you lose the room key(s) $15

Studio comes fully furnished with walk in closet, larger bathroom with full bath to include claw foot tub and separate stand up shower, walk in closet, fully stocked kitchen, This unit comes with all furniture, bedding, pillows, pots , pans, dishes and cookware. Looking for longer term but will consider shorter term rentals. Close to everything centrally located. Shopping, Stores, Eateries. Great for traveling professionals. Closet to Natividad Hospital and Memorial Hospital.

The space
Private Gated studio, There are people living in the main house. There is one adjoining wall the noise is minimal though as t his unit is very quiet and away from the most noise from the street or neighbors. Its set back away from the street.
