Beds were super comfortable, couch great for post activity lounging, everything was clean and the kitchen had all utensils, cookware and appliances that are required. If you must have a dish washer, you're out of luck here. There was a nice big sink though. There was an outdoor hose as well, which was great for us. The neighbour was super nice and chatty as well."

The Garden Chalet is 250 square feet of open floor space. It sits in the back yard with views of the flower garden with plenty of lounging space in the patio. There is easy access to hiway 101, 68, and 1. It has everything for traveling professionals that need extended time for work. The cottage holds only 2 persons no exceptions.

Old Town Salinas is less than a 10 minute walk from the Garden Chalet there's dining, shopping, breweries, movie theater, spa, antique shopping clothing boutiques. There is a Farmers Market on Saturdays with plenty of food vendors and crafts. John Steinbeck's childhood home is just beyond Main Street in a residential area of town, they do serve lunch. The John Steinbeck Museum is at the end of Main Street.

The Micro Climate in Monterey Bay is a dream come true. I grew up in the high desert of New Mexico so cool ocean breezes are like heaven year round. The climate is 65° to 75°most of the year exept in September and October when we have the toasty Indian Summer Weather.

The ranch studio apartment includes two twin beds, a full bath, and half kitchen. Pets are welcome upon pre-approval from the on-site manager. No pets are to be left unattended. There is a pet fee $25 per night (that will be collected upon arrival). We offer a 12x12 dog kennel.

- "Very clean, with no distractions for granddaughter. For myself, shower was the best part. Clean, large ceramic stall and shower head gave plenty of water. Overall would stay again but next time I will pull some weeds for you :)" - "Booked here to save a bit of money rather than staying within Monterrey or Carmel . . . yes, we saved some money (not much) but wasn't really worth it due to the heavy traffic driving back after a long day on the coast. Interior of the house was very clean but missing lots of basic things that would make a huge difference in convenience. For example, zero furniture in the main bedroom meant keeping all of our luggage and items on the floor. No hangers or ways to hang anything in the master closet. Hardly any towel hooks. Can't seat four people at the table the way it's tucked into the "nook" (one of the chairs is flush against the wall). Nice to have a hot tub but it seemed kind of dirty and no designated spa towels. Also the listing says the kitchen is "fully stocked with pots and pans" and we literally could only find one pan to cook in. Wonder if maybe some items got taken and the owner hasn't checked in awhile? Overall not terrible but honestly not worth it if you're exploring coastal areas."

- "The apartment was immaculate and nicely furnished. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with some pretty walking areas. It is connected to a large home’s garage and shares the driveway/ parking areas. Family lives in adjoining house, so doesn’t feel totally private. There are steep stairs to climb up to the apartment so if that is an issue- good to know. I was expecting a keyless entry. There are 2 attached keys in 2 separate lockboxes requiring combo codes to access the keys. Not the easiest system. Keys remain in lockbox at all times. The lockbox next to apartment door at top of stairs was at waist level which made it more difficult to access without maneuvering. "
