The space
This brand new studio build is light-filled and airy with vaulted ceilings and high windows. Your private entrance is lined with our orange and lemon trees.

The studio has a cozy bathroom, washer and dryer, full-sized kitchen with pots, pans, and dishware, a gas range and oven, and a full-sized fridge and freezer. Get a great night's sleep on our mid-century modern style queen bed and electric window shades.

Stream your favorites on the TV and relax on the couch or in the backyard next to the firepit.

This place is close to the shopping centers located in North Salinas. We are very close to fast food restaurants on N. Main St. and we are 3 minutes away from the Salinas Sports Complex about 0.5 miles to be exact. We are close to Monterey, where many people choose to visit while traveling to this city.

The space
Our small guest room is perfect for 1 or 2 persons, preferably if you are a couple. It is a small cottage style room and it is inside our property. It is newly remodeled! The room has a very comfortable queen size bed with 4 comfortable pillows. We also have an extra blanket in case it gets cold at night. It also has a heater that people can use if the room gets cold. The bathroom is in the same room it has a lighted mirror. The shower is a small shower stall in it we provide body wash, shampoo and conditioner. It has a bathroom and a shower all in one room , there is no door that divides the room from the bathroom so it is best for couples or a person alone. It has a TV and access to the internet. We provide water bottles and coffee . We also have a hair dryer inside the vanity. It has plenty space to place your belongings.

Cozy urban retreat in the heart of Downtown Salinas. Private studio with separate entrance located behind the main house. One private parking space with additional parking on the street.

The space
The studio has a small courtyard patio with two chair upon entry. A towering redwood and lush potato tree are the canopy for privacy while you sip coffee in the morning or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. There are two sets of French doors with screens to the unit. They can be opened fully to bring the outdoors in and allow for cross breeze. There is a large comfy couch, table and chairs, umbrella, Heat lamp, fire table and fire pit, board games, lots of extra pillows and blankets as well as towels. The kitchen is a full kitchen with gas range, refrigerator, microwave and pantry filled with essentials for cooking. I provide bottled water and a basket of grab and go snacks as well as oatmeal, coffee, tea, cream and sugar. The queen bed is a temperpedic low profile mattress with cozy linens and pillows. Lots of space for up to 4 guests with a queen air mattress available as well as a twin temperpedic roll away. There are candles, a flashlight and large fan supplied in case needed. The bathroom is large and open with a stall shower and custom antique vanity. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, q-tips, cotton balls, and hair dryer are stocked. Luggage racks, vacuum, broom, dustpan, iron and board are stored in the hall closet. A styrofoam cooler, beach towels and umbrella are available to use for a day at the beach.

The backyard is large and open. It is shared with next door unit. Outdoor string lights, yard games, fire table, sectional sofa, heat lamp, wood fire pit, outdoor table and 4 chairs, umbrella, and a smaller table with two chairs all make up the space to enjoy a day of fun or a night to remember. An extra tall industrial fence provides ultimate privacy in a downtown environment. Please be respectful of the shared space and the other guests. There is a 10:00pm noise ordinance that will be enforced.

There is one parking space in the driveway (directly in front of the gated entry) and plenty of street parking should you arrive in more than one vehicle. A “Ring” door bell is at entry to provide safety and security.

*Note* This is a NO Smoking unit. This includes cigarettes, vape, cigars, marijuana, cloves etc… a $250 fee will be charged for smoking inside the unit.

Parking for the studio is behind the main house through the adjacent alley. There is one parking space available directly in front of the entry gate. A lock box is on the fence for self check in.

Other things to note
Easy access to Highway 101 north and south. Direct access to Highway 68: 20 minutes to Monterey, Carmel or Pacific Grove. Big Sur is a gorgeous one hour drive down Highway 1 outside of Carmel. Award-winning wineries and tasting rooms along the Santa Lucia Highlands. Go to riverroadwinetrail.com to check events.

A short 5-minute walk will find you in quaint Old-town Salinas. Stop in and say hi to Colin and Lauren at Farmer's Union Pour House for a large selection of craft beer and local wines. Grab a skirt steak sandwich and garlic fries at Dubbers Sports Bar. Other dining includes Patria for mediterranean, Gino’s for italian, Growers Pub for steaks and salads. For mexican food try Villa Azteca or for the best molcajete and chavela in town, walk across the street to Casa Del Sazon! The historic Steinbeck Center is a 10-minute walk to the end of Old-town. The Maya movie theater, Farmer's market and the Ariel theater can also be enjoyed. For locally owned boutique shopping, don't miss Bliss Boutique, Head over Heels, and The Little Mustard Seed. For spa services, call Aquablue. For body waxing or facials, walk two doors down from the studio to Complexions Salon and ask for Daisy! Spend the day in Monterey either renting bikes or paddle boards. Take a stroll down Cannery Row and then enjoy an afternoon at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Wander down Fisherman's Wharf and stop in at Fisherman's Grotto for some award-winning clam chowder. You can also book a whale-watching excursion at the kiosk at the end of the wharf. Take a drive to Pacific Grove along Ocean View Blvd and stop at Lover's Point Park for a picnic and kid-friendly swimming. Continue on to the tide pools along Ocean View and eventually arrive at the gates of 17-Mile Drive. If you arrive at sunset, stop in at Spanish Bay to hear the famous bagpiper. Further down, you will find the world-renowned links of Pebble Beach. A cocktail on the 18th hole at Sticks restaurant is mandatory! Carmel is a 10-minute drive from Pebble Beach. Visit Ocean Avenue for lunch or dinner, art, shopping and wine-tasting. Visit Caraccioli Cellars for their award-winning sparkling rosé. The Monterey Bay area has numerous hiking trails for all levels of difficulty. Do not miss Point Lobos State Natural Reserve for incredible views while walking along the coast.

Hello, when you enter the neighborhood, our lot is on the corner of Manzanita and Mesa. He will turn left to go slightly up Manzanita and find the driveway immediately after the first fence on the right. Once you park in the driveway, there is a fence with the gate where you can enter and walk down the walking path for the detached rental house. To the left, you will see a front door with the key under the mat.

Three speedy minutes away from Laguna Seca Raceway, your vacation retreat is located just off Hwy 68, in between Salinas and Monterey. Our separate guesthouse and compound offers lots of amenities for you and your friends to enjoy.

Given our proximity to the racetrack, we have three-night minimums during scheduled races and events.

During Monterey race week and Concours d'Elegance, there is a four-night minimum stay.

The space
The master bedroom has the master bath. There is one additional bedroom with queen size bed adjacent to the master.

There is also an additional kitchenette adjacent to master bedroom with couch and TV. With that said, the guesthouse can accommodate five individuals (large family) if necessary.

Corral Di Tierra can get very warm during the summer, so having the pool as a cool down remedy is very nice.

The guest house and pool are adjacent to the main house. Everything that you see in the photos is your place to enjoy.

Other things to note
There is a corner store half a mile down the street, at which you can purchase drinks, snacks, sandwiches and treats to stock up the fridge for your stay.

There is also a breakfast place (Toro Place Cafe) around the corner (one mile) which has good eats. It is a small place, but worth the wait if you need your bacon and eggs when you get up in the morning.

We must ask that you and your guests remain within the pool compound, meaning that the grassy area in front of the main house should not be utilized.

Lastly, please do not go near the horses and stables.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.
