The space
Our private two-bedroom guesthouse, a serene retreat nestled in the heart of Carmel Valley. Attached to our main home yet completely private, this cozy haven is accessible through its own separate entrance, ensuring a peaceful and exclusive stay. From the moment you step inside, you’ll feel right at home in this inviting space, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the stunning Monterey Peninsula.

The guesthouse is designed with your comfort in mind. Both bedrooms feature plush high-thread-count sheets and down comforters, creating a luxurious and restful escape. Outside, you’ll find a small seating area where you can take in the picturesque mountain views or enjoy meals at the outdoor dining table, surrounded by nature. It’s not uncommon to spot deer or other wildlife wandering through the property, adding to the charm of your stay.
Our guesthouse is the perfect base for your adventures—a tranquil spot to relax and recharge amidst the beauty of Carmel Valley. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or simply to soak in the peaceful surroundings, we look forward to hosting you!

We are on a cul-de-sac with very little traffic. We have a rather steep driveway, but there is space in the driveway for one vehicle. If there is more than one, there is street parking available.

Other things to note
As per new local laws the following information must be made available upon reserving:

1) Full name, address, telephone number and email address of at least one occupant
2) Motor vehicle license number for each vehicle visiting.

The home boasts a redwood deck, full kitchen, fireplace & full bathroom. Complete with heating & air conditioning.

Other things to note
-Make sure to bring all of your groceries and beverages as you are a 15-20 minute drive from Carmel Valley village and there is no grocery store nearby. I will provide basic items like salt, pepper and medium roast keurig coffee.

-Main home next door may be occupied during your stay. Please ask, if this is a concern for you.

-PETS: If you bring a pet, and the pet causes damages, you agree to pay for such damages (door scratches, stained couches, etc). You must ensure they will not scratch any doors or go on the beds or sofas.

-Please follow my picture check-in instructions. The drive to this property is on a narrow, winding country road which is dark at night. Please plan to arrive during daylight if it is your first time at the property. Do not plan to travel into town to restaurants or weddings for heavy drinking and expect to drive back to the home safely. Use pull-out spots to pull over for locals that may be driving faster.

In Carmel Valley, just east of the famous Bernardus Spa and vineyard, this luxurious, fully equipped guest house is an ideal choice for a romantic getaway or a longer stay for one of the Monterey Peninsula's great events. Privacy, beautiful gardens and wine country atmosphere all conspire to make this getaway a place to recharge and relax.

The space
The guest house is located about three minutes from Carmel Valley Village, 10 minutes from Laguna Seca Race Track and 15 minutes from Carmel-by-the-Sea. It is a separate structure with bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen/dining area. Fully equipped, the apartment features a heated floor in the marble-tiled bathroom, extra large soaking tub and walk-in shower, king size bed, robes, dimmable lights throughout and an entertainment center and Wi-Fi connection via cable. Both Netflix and Amazon channels are included. A private stone deck is right outside your door and a sun deck steps away. A swimming pool(Not Heated) is also on the property. Climbing roses, lavender field, wisteria and many other flowers adorn the property. A Bocce court with balls for both bocce and petanque (boules) completes the property’s amenities. We have some road noise, although most people are not bothered by the traffic.


Wine tasting and Restaurants
The Monterey Peninsula is known for a very wide selection of good to very good restaurants and dozens of tasting rooms featuring wines and olive oils made locally and in nearby wine growing regions of California. There are about 20 tasting rooms just up the road in Carmel Valley Village and more in downtown Carmel. There are also several notable restaurants nearby.

Sport Activities
The signature sport of the Monterey Peninsula is golf. Some 16 golf courses await, among them the famous courses of Pebble Beach including Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, Poppy Hills and Spanish Bay, all accessible to the public. Many other challenging and scenic courses are also available – Bayonet and Black Horse, Quail Lodge, Del Monte, Laguna Seca, Carmel Valley Ranch, Pasadera and Corral de Tierra are all within about a 20 minute drive from the guest house.
Other sport activities are available throughout the peninsula. There are several scenic hiking trails within a short distance. The entrance to Garland Ranch, with miles of scenic trails, is just one mile from the guest house. Bicycling is everywhere on all the local roads. Whale watching, scuba diving and kayaking on Monterey Bay are popular aquatic activities and the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a must-see attraction.

Shopping
Carmel-by-the-Sea is shopping central, specializing in art from both local and international artists, with clothing stores, many specialty stores and dozens of restaurants. Del Monte Center in Monterey features a number of national brand stores as well as a multiplex theater and several restaurants. The Barnyard and Crossroads shopping areas, both at the mouth of the valley, are about 10-15 minutes from the guest house.

Special Events
As a vacation destination, Monterey is also host to a large number of special events every year. The annual AT&T golf tournament always attracts top players and the US Open is played periodically at the Pebble Beach venues. The Monterey Jazz Festival, the motorcycle Gathering at Quail Lodge and several other festivals take place throughout the year. The Big Sur Marathon attracts some of the best runners in the world. Possibly the best known event is the Pebble Beach Concourse D ’Elegance and auction. Through the years so many other car events have been added at venues around the Peninsula that locals now speak of “car week,” which features some six or seven important auctions, specialized single-make car shows and the Historic Races at Laguna Seca featuring the beautiful race cars of the post-war era.

The space
**Important** Cachagua Road is paved, winding and narrow. We advise arriving before dark. Use turnouts to pull over for locals who may be driving faster. Make sure to throughly review and screenshot ALL picture checkin instructions prior to driving up Cachagua Road as you will temporarily lose service.

This is a guest studio up in Los Padres National Forest. The main home sits 30 ft above this space and may be occupied during your stay.

You have private access to the deck and spa that sit below the tree house which are for your exclusive use.

Other things to note
-Make sure to bring all your needed groceries and beverages as you are a 15-20 minute drive from Carmel Valley Village and there are no grocery stores nearby. I provide basics like salt, pepper and Keurig coffee pods.

-Guests will have no cell service on our property but you can connect to wifi to enable wifi calling and text messaging.

-WIFI: is good for text and emails. Do not expect to be able to download movies very fast or other data. Do not expect to work fully from your computers--expect to unwind and relax. If you need to work, I recommend driving down to the village and hooking up to faster wifi at a coffee shop. For now, satellite internet is the fasters option up here. I am waiting for Star Link to release its new satellite internet so that I can subscribe.

-I have ATT and can receive phone calls at the entrance of the home and on the other side of the pool by the shed.

-GPS will take you past our entrance because our location is not accurately marked. Please follow my picture check-in instructions.

-Our property is 8 miles (15-20 minutes) from Carmel Valley Village. The drive is on narrow, winding country roads which are dark at night. Plan to arrive during daylight if it is your first time at the property. Please do not plan to travel into town to restaurants or weddings for heavy drinking and expect to drive back to the home safely. Drive safely and use pull out spots to pull over if locals are driving faster behind you.

11 awe-inspiring things to do in Carmel Valley that take you beyond the quaint seaside.
You may be familiar with Carmel-by-the-Sea, a tiny, old world village near the Pacific Ocean where you can sample chocolates or hunt for Jane Austen novels in cottages plucked straight from a fairy tale. But understated Carmel Valley, which stretches inland to the east where it’s substantially warmer, deserves its own visit. Fair warning: You may find yourself staying a while.

Carmel Valley isn’t “wine country,” as many believe — it’s much more low-key than that. It’s an expanse of farmland influenced by the cold ocean coming off the Monterey Bay and warm winds from the surrounding Santa Lucia Mountains, giving way for beautiful scenery dotted with indie businesses. Once a place where cowboys and ranchers would venture to refill their provisions, the valley retains a distinct cowboy culture, especially in the charming downtown known as Carmel Valley Village. Not overly developed, and definitely not over-hipsterfied, the area has become a hideaway for solace-seeking Angelenos. You never know if recently-made-local Brad Pitt will be popping into dive bar Running Iron, a Carmel Valley staple.

Our quiet, peaceful, and secluded guest house lies less than 1/4 mile above Bernardus Lodge (approximately 10 miles from Carmel). It shares no direct sight lines with any neighboring structures. Guests love the views, saying repeatedly that the photos don't do them justice. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you!

The space
The guest house is spacious yet cozy for two people at approximately 600 square feet. The bedroom is separate from the open-plan living room w/ dining table and kitchenette. It has beautiful views onto Garland Ranch Park and Garzas Canyon. Scan the valley for soaring hawks, turkey vultures, and many other bird species. Visits from black-tail deer are quite frequent. Bask in all day sun from the south-facing panorama deck view.

The guest house is minutes from Leguna Seca (5), Monterey (15-20), Pacific Grove (25), Garland Park (2), Wine Tasting and Carmel-by-the-Sea (10-15). It is approximately 45 minutes to Big Sur.

Enjoy all the Monterey Peninsula has to offer or just relax and rest in the sun, fresh air, and gorgeous views from the deck!

Other things to note
The guest house is very private - it will be unlocked with keys on the entry table when you arrive. The hair dryer should be in the drawer underneath the sink and the iron should be on shelf in the closet. The kitchenette has a basic supply of cooking utensils, pots & pans but if you need anything else for your culinary adventures my parents would be happy to provide it.

Welcome to our hilltop Carmel Valley Cottage. Located just minutes away from Carmel Valley Village’s acclaimed shops, restaurants, and wineries. Our cottage is perched high on a secluded, idyllic 5 acre lot with olive orchards and vineyards on premises. Featuring sweeping views of mountains, vineyards, and the valley, it is a private retreat situated in the heart of it all.

The space
At just over 1100 square feet, the private 2 story light, bright, and airy cottage features 2 bedrooms, and one and a half baths. On the lower level there is a tastefully furnished, expansive living space with a 55” smart TV, and a fully equipped state of the art kitchen with a Keurig coffee and tea station. Tucked away behind a rustic barn door is a half-bathroom with a washer and dryer. The upper level features two bedrooms with one queen bed, and two full beds respectively, as well as a full bathroom. Both levels have private decks, where one can enjoy sweeping panoramic views. Just below the cottage, is your own private putting green, horseshoe pit, and meditation bench; all great places to take in Carmel Valley’s acclaimed scenery.

Our cottage is outfitted with state of art smart locks, located on both the upper and lower level entry doors. No keys are required, a passcode will be provided to you for the duration of your stay. The cottage is located on top of a private road.
