The Guesthouse, adjacent deck, and covered parking in front of the main house are exclusively for your use. The Guesthouse is located just to the right of the main house and is separated by the driveway to our garage. Loading only in front of the Guesthouse. Feel free to enjoy any of the areas in the front of the property - vineyard, fire pit, and handmade barrel swings. We are happy to provide a vineyard tour of the property upon request and you can walk the vines on your own at any time. We keep the backyard and garage area past the Guesthouse for Owner's use only. We can offer EV charging on-site for a fee. For guests who have large vehicles or trailers we can accommodate your parking needs. Just contact us.

We have 3 outside vineyard cats that patrol the property. Please allow them to stay outside.

You must notify us before bringing a pet or service animal, as we perform an inspection before and after your stay. Only 1 pet, service animal or emotional support animal per booking total based on the size of our accommodations. Working animals do not incur a pet fee but It is understood that service animals will be in service to the occupants and will therefore accompany them at all times. No animal is to be left in the unit unattended. Use of a crate is the only exception. Please notify us of any accidents or damage.

The Bunk House is set up for your convenience with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker & a water cooler. We supply Culligan water for drinking, our well water is used for showering. The Bunk House is located in the middle of the action, you just might encounter the Stagecoach rolling by your front door, or horses galloping in the arena. However life is very peaceful here, you will hear a variety of birds, the coyotes, & occasional train whistle.

This is a 26 acre ranch which backs up to the Salinas River Bed, a vineyard borders to the North & grain hay & pumpkin patch to the South. Take a walk around the property, be respectful of our neighbors & stay on our side. Feel free to visit my garden for your morning coffee, sit and relax with a glass of wine.

We have a dog & some cats. They are not allowed in the Bunk House, please do not feed them anything. We like them to remain polite & enjoyable to be around.


The horses are a mixture of horses in training, boarded, & the ones we own. For your safety, please let us know if you would like to visit them up close. Under no circumstances are they to be fed anything, not even the loose hay you see on the ground.

The space
Our little studio is situated over a workshop next to our home. You will have your own parking area and instructions for your stay. Access is via a steep stairway from the parking area to our front yard and then another stairway up to the deck of the studio.
Many times we aren't even at home when guests arrive, but the apartment will be ready for your arrival. If you have questions or concerns, we are here to help. Otherwise, we like to let our guests enjoy the peace and quiet and the privacy of our property.

Before you arrive, I will email the directions, code to our gate and instructions for your stay. You are welcome to walk your dog down the hill as long as they are on a leash. ( we do have lots of wildlife on our property) We do advise that you keep your dog close & not in the numerous grasses & underbrush due to foxtails & stickers in the dryer months. Rental of the studio does not include access to our home or our pool area.

We don't charge a security deposit but ask that you respect our little Hideaway and help by stripping the bed when you leave. We are pet friendly and do ask for an additional $25 per dog to cover the extra cleaning.
We are both retired, but I work part time at a local tasting room and Rich works for a brewery. There are many times that we won't be here when you arrive, but we are only a cell phone call away for your needs.

Welcome to the Sugar Shack. A sweet and cozy spot for 1 or 2 people. This little gem is tucked off the main street, which is great for noise control. Yet the location is still everything you would hope for, 4 blocks to the city's park and adjacent to the Paso Market Walk.
