This estate has a rich past—originally a private hunting lodge in the 1950's and ’60's, it’s now being made available to the public for the very first time. We’re currently collaborating with the San Lorenzo Valley Museum to document more of its hidden history.

For the last 40 years, it’s been home to former executives from Apple, Oracle, HP, Adobe, Nvidia, and Motorola. The home has been thoughtfully remodeled to the highest standards, while preserving its original charm, including the wood-look natural gas fireplace in the main lodge.

The space
We have a new Construction as of 2013 solar powered 3 Bedroom 2 1/2 bath craftsman style house perfectly located in between Capitola and Santa Cruz.

Our listing is located right down the hill from the Chaminade Resort. If our house does not accommodate everyone in your party you have a resort within a mile for any additional guests.

Also we are only 2 miles away / five minute drive to the Harbor beaches as well as Capitola Village.

There are many wonderful hiking trails that are in close proximity.

We have a spacious dining area as well as charming breakfast nook.

Casa de weeks is stocked with the basic things that you would need. Laundry
detergent,shampoo, towels, fresh linens, ETC.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you would need for entertaining. The outdoor patio is equipped with a gas grill & comfy chairs for relaxing!

We have a spacious master Suite located upstairs with a king size bed and a large bathroom with a freestanding soaking tub and large double shower.

Our house can accommodate up to seven people or more depending if you have small children. There is also a very comfortable large sectional sofa that can be used for sleeping. The bedrooms and living areas are private.

This is a spacious 2,400 square foot newly constructed custom home. It is perfect for family gatherings as well as entertaining. If you want a spacious home close to everything Santa Cruz has to offer this is the perfect home for you!

Welcome to the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains and our home. Our private charming cabin is amidst a beautiful rustic garden setting. It is cozy and quiet, yet within 20 minutes of Santa Cruz.

Enjoy the tranquility of our outdoor bathroom with claw foot bathtub and shower and environmentally friendly composting toilet.

Kitchen includes a two burner stove, fridge, and toaster oven.

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

The space
Our home is located in the San Lorenzo Valley in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It is a very unique area where Redwoods and Oaks meet Ponderosa Pines. Many mountain trails are nearby, great for hiking, biking, and camping.
Have a dip on a hot summer day in the San Lorenzo River, which flows nearby, (five minutes by foot).
The studio is designated dog/cat free. A perfect space for people who deal with animal allergies.
Adjoining the studio is a large deck with sunset views of the local mountains, a greta spot to enjoy a home cooked meal or takeout from one of our nearby restaurants.

Guest access
The bus to Santa Cruz stops directly in front of our driveway. The supermarket is a ten minute walk to town. Health food markets are in nearby Boulder Creek or Felton.
Our Airbnb guests have their own designated parking spot off the street. A second car would have to be up at the road.

Other things to note
Fyi, while you are visiting we won't be using the deck, other than maybe watering the plants. So please enjoy

For those of you who have never used a composting toilet, it is so easy:

1. When you use the toilet please don’t put any sanitary products, i.e. pads, tampons, diapers… into the toilet.
2. After using the toilet, cover waste and toilet paper with saw dust from the white pail.

If you only stay for a couple of nights we will take care of the toilet after your departure.
If you stay longer and/ or want to clean the toilet yourself:

3. When the toilet (pink bucket) is 2/3 full, empty it into the wooden compost bin behind the outdoor bathroom.
4. Cover the contents in wooden compost bin completely with additional sawdust from black plastic trashcan.
5. Rinse the pink bucket well (water hose next to back bathroom door) and add 3” sawdust and replace under the toilet seat.

When you book please know that we are in the mountains and the WIFI is not like it is in the city. It is spotty and slow and works great some days but not others. If you are coming to work, it will be slow but you can pay to tap into the city wifi. This is $10 and I have never done it but a previous guest has.

The murphy bed with couch is one piece of furniture. The couch is available for use when the bed is up against the wall. When the bed comes down, the couch disappears. There is only a queen bed for sleeping.

Our quiet guest cottage sits well behind the house in the lush back garden. It is well located in a central residential area, walking distance to great restaurants, and a short bike ride to beach or downtown. Cute bathroom with unique shower, modern efficiency kitchen, cozy gas fireplace. Have coffee on the patio under the trees!

The space
The cottage is an open studio space, it is a cozy 300 sq ft that has most everything you need.
Brand new queen bed is more on the firm side, with organic cotton sheets, down comforter.
Desk and other furniture can be arranged to suit your individual needs.
Bathroom has a stand up shower that is a converted trough. Guests should be able to step over the 2.5 foot height to enter shower.
Kitchenette is efficiency style, with a toaster oven, full fridge, microwave, sink.

Guest access
Free wifi, flat screen TV, Hulu and Apple TV (no cable), washer and dryer. Guests are welcome to relax or have dinner in the big backyard. There is a gas grill for guests on the back patio.

Other things to note
We have 3 dogs that mostly like to be inside, but will occasionally be in the yard. I will try to intercept their enthusiasm when they meet you :)
Our beautiful kitty wanders the yard, you may hear her on the cottage roof.

Our cozy room has a private entrance and private bathroom. Located in a quiet, residential area. We are 10 minutes from the beach in Santa Cruz, 40 min. (depending on traffic) from Monterey, 10 min. from the Redwoods and San Francisco in a little over an hour. Our backyard is home to many a bird and squirrel; a private deck which is a delightful place to have your coffee in the morning if you wish. A BBQ is available and an outdoor eating area. We're minutes from 1440 Conference Center.

The space
The room entrance is up the driveway and to the right in our backyard. There are two steps up on to the deck and the entrance is a sliding French door. It has a queen bed, recliner, television, mini frig, Keurig and microwave. Outdoor space for relaxing and sitting.

The bedroom and private bathroom is yours and the backyard is open for you.

Other things to note
We have one cat. Her name is Jazzy. We are not set up for children or pets to come and stay though we love them. Our steps up to the airbnb do not have a railing.

THURSDAY NIGHT BEACH PARTIES AT THE CROW’S NEST
Each Summer on Thursday evenings, the Crow’s Nest offers its Summer Beach Party series with fun and funky live entertainment right on the beach. The party starts at 5:30 pm each week and goes until sunset. With live entertainment on the outdoor beach stage and Crow’s Nest’s famous BBQ and outdoor bar, beach parties are a unique and popular event. Families are welcome, and there is no admission charge! After the sun sets the fun begins upstairs with dancing to the best of local live bands beginning at 8:30 pm with only a $5 cover charge.

CAPITOLA TWILIGHT CONCERT SERIES
Popular local bands rouse fun-loving crowds on Wednesday evenings in the Capitola Village. The free Twilight Concert Series features everything from classic rock to funk to dance hits and Latin fusion. All concerts are 6pm – 8pm and take place at the Esplanade bandstand with ocean views in the picturesque Capitola Village. Our cozy home is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood with street lights. There is easy access to local parks & trails and it is less than 2 miles from beaches & the harbor. The space share walls with our main home where we live with our family. The room has its own private entrance, kitchenette (separate from the main room), bathroom, and a private patio with a table & chairs. With south-facing windows, you can enjoy the sunshine, or use our black-out curtains for rest when needed.

The space
Our home has a small 1/10th acre regenerative garden on it that is used to teach about climate resilient edible landscapes in the greater Santa Cruz County community. The private rental has its entrance opposite the main residence entryway with self check-in details provided for access. It has a couch, queen-size bed, table with two chairs, basic hanging rack for clothes and suitcases, and a kitchenette to enjoy while using the space.

There is a side yard where you can park bikes or put your beach toys and surfboard to enjoy on the water. There is a security camera that records at night the area of the driveway where vehicles are parked.

Full bathroom: shower/bathtub combo, dual sinks, shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers.

Dining area/workspace: desk workspace that converts to a four-seated dining table.

The Burlwood Basecamp is a guest house attached to the main house. The homeowners occupy the main house. The backyard is a shared space with the main house and their dog Kodi (owners will supervise his visits to the yard space). Although the guest house is attached to the main house, the homeowners will provide you with privacy within your own space.

Charming, small cozy studio cottage on west side of Santa Cruz, nestled in gardens behind Victorian house. Vaulted ceiling, sky light; very airy and cheerful. Approximately 275 sq. feet includes small kitchen and dining area, bathroom, bedroom and garden. The cottage has a back patio area that views a chicken yard with a sweet chicken named Sunshine. The cottage is about 10 ft from the main house. We are located within walking distance to the Santa Cruz downtown area.

This cottage is uniquely located in the heart of Santa Cruz, walking distance to downtown. 2.2 miles to the beach. It is comfortable for 1 or two people. The kitchen comes equipped with stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker and regular kitchen supplies. The bathroom has a tiled shower. Hot water is plentiful in the shower and kitchen sink. There is a full sized bed complete with a cozy comforter to keep you warm. The back door looks out to the back bricked patio and chicken yard, with a fenced in area if you happen to bring along your dog.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Situated in the beautiful north coast mountains of Santa Cruz amongst the redwoods. Our south facing lot invites the Pacific Ocean breeze, and lush vegetation. Experience nature in comfort and style in our beautiful little cabin in the woods. Only 15 minutes to UCSC, 15 minutes to the charming town of Felton, 20 minutes to Santa Cruz, 10 minutes to the north coast beaches. Near world renowned biking trails, hiking trails, nature reserves, etc.

The space
The Forest Cabin Retreat is a very spacious tiny house. It features very tall ceilings and plenty of windows that allow lots of light to come through. The main bedroom offers a double bed with down feather pillows and down feather comforter. Above the bedroom there is an open loft with a very comfy Tempur-Pedic queen mattress ( this is the second bedroom). The loft is very cozy and unique but not suitable for children under 12. The stairs up to the loft require some caution. There is no baby/toddler/kid proofing in the cabin so please proceed with caution. If you are traveling with an infant please reach out so we can try to accommodate your needs better. The cabin is also equipped with a washer and dryer. The bathroom offers a soaking tub, hairdryer, makeup removal wipes, cotton towels shampoo, conditioner and soap. The kitchen is equipped with an induction stove, fridge, freezer with ice maker, large microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker (Keurig), water kettle, herbal tea, coffee pods, olive oil, salt and pepper, fresh herbs, and all the kitchen essentials you might need during your stay. There is a breakfast nook eating area that can sit four. Storage is available under the seating and you can find board games and puzzles stored there for your use. There is also a workspace area in the main bedroom with high speed internet, perfect for remote work or streaming. The cabin does not offer a tv at the moment, we thought it would be nice to keep devices out of the retreat, but you are of course welcome to bring your own device and stream movies, etc…This little cabin has everything you might need to experience nature in comfort. There is a deck that halfway wraps around the cabin with seating for eating Al fresco under the redwoods. There are trails in the backyard that lead to a small creek, part of the Laguna creek watershed. The creek meanders down the mountain and daylights at Laguna Creek Beach. The creek hosts salamanders, banana slugs and is also a gathering place for other forest animals like deer, Bob cats, mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, squirrels and lots of birds, keep an eye out for the giant pileated wood pecker native to these mountains. The night sky is bright with stars on a clear night and star gazing is one of our favorite things to do here. Enjoy a nap or marvel at the majestic tree giants in the hammock in the back yard. We are excited to share this little slice of heaven with you!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire cabin. The cabin is 420 sq ft and located on the owners two and a half acre property yet independent of the main house, which is also rented, and with a private gravel driveway and yard. Guests have access to the lower part of the property, a forested area with trails down to a creek. Parking is available (2 cars) in front of the cabin. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe.

Other things to note
Please note our beautiful little cabin is in a rural area. The nearest shop is 15 minutes away so we recommend picking up your shopping before heading up the mountain. Also, no fires or smoking. Zero tolerance. We are in a high risk fire zone. If you would like to have a campfire there are fire pits on the beaches in Santa Cruz. Also, note this area sometimes experiences power outages during storms or fires. A lockbox code and detailed instructions for self check in will be sent upon booking. Bonny Doon is a very special coastal mountain community and we feel very lucky to live here and are excited to share our community with you!

Warehouse wineries, brew pubs, bakeries and great eateries nearby...plus, gorgeous West Cliff Drive and the ocean is just 2 blocks away!

Our beach cottage studio in Seabright is a few blocks to beach, kitchenette, queen bed, and washer/ dryer. Great weekend getaway. Next to Yacht Club. Walk to nearby restaurants and harbor activities, sailing, kayaking, surfing, biking and hiking.

The space
The charming street facing patio is yours to use exclusively. The studio does have a back door that leads to your own washer and dryer, however we ask that you honor the privacy of the main house guests when using the back landing where the washer and dryer are located. The main house has a back portion of the deck that is adjacent to the studio washer and dryer area. The entire back deck is reserved for the guests staying in the main house.

The space
A well laid out, private apartment, with lots of windows, plenty of light and airflow. There's an entrance foyer/ mud room, and then the rest of the apartment is upstairs, overlooking the town, mountains, with the bedrooms and bathroom above a large pear tree. You can return from the beach to a very private outdoor shower and backyard.

Guests do not have access to the garage. All other areas of the apartment are accessible.

The Pineapple room is a private room in Cliff Crest Inn, steps away from the boardwalk, wharf and downtown Santa Cruz. The room has a private bathroom and a queen sized bed plus another small mattress upon request. Parking for one normal sized vehicle complimentary. (No breakfast included).

Great collection of design and art books, contemporary art, and other worldly treasures await you . Beach chairs, beach towels, a list of all my local favorite stomps and even a set of golf clubs, our little casa has all you will need to fully experience and enjoy SC.

The space
A comfortable well appointed 600 square foot studio only 1.5 miles to the beach! Perfectly located, within minutes to Pacific Garden Mall, the Boardwalk and all the noted surfing spots and beaches! Space has super comfy full bed/2'shy of a Queen Bed, with large window, fresh linens and towels, modern furniture and finishes, contemporary art collection, high speed wifi and a flat screen Cable TV, all in a quite residential neighborhood with ample curbside parking-this is the perfect place to enjoy Santa Cruz and all the surrounding area.

Upon arrival you will find maps, books, and a list of recommended Restaurants, sights, and directions.

Attached Studio in the heart of the Seabright area. The space offers privacy and a relaxing environment to enjoy the sunshine or a nice evening surrounded by trees and fresh air. Close to everything from Grocery/Convenience Stores, Taquerias, Restaurants, Gas Stations, etc. Bring your bike or simply enjoy a walk to the park, the Harbor or the Beach.
The Studio is also equipped with the basics to prepare quick healthy meals.
A fun place perfectly located to enjoy all that Santa Cruz has to offer.

The space
The Studio is set up for 3 guests to sleep comfortably. In some cases, 4 to 5 guests have arrived and managed to set up a comfortable sleep arrangement on their own. PLEASE NOTE: If you have more guests than you initially reserved for or more than 3 guests on arrival time, YOU MUST contact the host immediately and pay an additional 50 dollars per guest per night, extra towels will be provided.
The Studio has a "Kitchenette", it is a very small area with the essentials to prepare salads, power shakes, sandwiches, wraps and any other quick fix with your expertise on quick healthy meals. There is also an Air Fryer that can be also used as a conventional oven. There is NO stove or range top, it has been clearly detailed on the listing and the pictures.
The Studio has a bedroom with a door that provides privacy. There is a closet with hangers, extra blankets and a small dresser.
During SUMMER season, there is NO need for a fan or air conditioner as Santa Cruz is normally NOT as hot as other areas. In fact, you may need a light jacket for the evening or night out.
If you are here during WINTER season, the heating system will be ON all day long. (The thermostat is not available for you to control). There is also a space heater if needed.
The bathroom has a shower ONLY/NO TUB. We provide ONE towel per guest as usually guests bring their personal towels. BEACH TOWELS are available upon request in advance ONLY.
There is NO dining or seating area inside the studio. There is a Patio set outside on the yard and an extra table for your convenience.
During winter season, if/or on a rainy day, we provide a tent for outdoor seating per request only. The tent must be requested when you book your reservation or at least three (3) days in advance. No tent available if booking less than 72 hours.
And last but not least, we make sure you have a safe, fun and lovely stay at our place in Santa Cruz, please feel free to ask questions regarding things to do, places to eat, current events, and best ways to get around. We are happy and excited to provide anything you need for an amazing stay at our place.

No car? No problem! Buses nearby, Taxis, Uber, Lyft and lastly, most of everything you may need is within a walking distance, Grocery stores, Walgreens, Restaurants, Taquerias, Arana Gulch, Frederick St Park, the Upper Harbor, Seabright Beach and Twin Lakes Beach.
Safety is one of the most important features guests need, and you can feel totally at ease regarding safety in our neighborhood.

*As a courtesy to you, we provide "FREE" WIFI and a guest account for NETFLIX, therefore, if for any reason you cannot make those work, it is NOT our responsibility to assist you regarding that matter. You are more than welcome to use your own set ups for TV and/or movies on other platforms and please MAKE SURE to log out from your personal accounts on Check Out date as we won't be able to do that for you.

*Please NO SMOKING of any kind inside the Studio. Close door and windows for outdoor smoking.

*Quiet time is between 10pm and 7am, please be mindful of keeping noise down to maintain a respectful environment with the neighbors.
